When my kitty passed I lost part of my soul. We'd been together for fifteen years. My search to find someone to disposition his remains was exhaustive. I was very hands on, asked a ton of questions, and was exacting with my needs. When I called I spoke with Tracy who listened with the patience of a best friend. She answered all my questions and demonstrated commendable empathy. It was so comfortable talking to her and she asked about my boy and repeated details to confirm them (not asking for the same things twice; she actually attended while listening). I was scheduled for the following day. The first thing I noticed upon entry was how organized and clean the facility was. And not ten seconds after I entered I was greeted with a warm, understanding welcome. Despite being choked up and not speaking complete sentences I was offered a seat and allowed to compose myself. There was no rush from the staff and the same compassion I'd received the day prior was right there in person. Kathy herself even came out to offer comfort and show a personal interest. I was talked through the process and shown where I could observe all the processing. There is a viewing area as well as a closed circuit camera that ensured I would be able to see my boy at all times. This transparency was a tremendous relief. The process was timely, respectful, and professional. I read the horror stories of other places and had that fear dispelled much to my relief. When it was time for my boy to begin processing he was handled gently, treated with love and respect. And again I was able to view everything from immediately outside the room and also on camera where the angle showed every spot he would be handled. There was no chance for any mistaken identity or the like. And when they mention they do private processes it is just that; private. No partitions, no phony barriers, just an honestly private event. I drove over 8 hours from northwest Arkansas to give my boy a dignified send off. Kathy and her staff made it known through their example and professional competence that I would not be shouldering this burden alone. Despite being strangers the day before, when I walked in I was treated the way I would treat my brother. They earned my highest possible endorsement and have my enduring gratitude. We lost our beloved Westie Winston a few weeks ago and I am just now able to write about it. It is no different than losing a human family member, it's very painful. If I were too be honest it was harder than the last few family funerals I attended because Winston was a daily companion, he was loving, constant and steadfast. 14 years was truly not enough time with this wonderful and selfless little dog. As you can tell I loved my dog very much, my wife and grown kids equally felt the loss. We called Pets and Friends on a Sunday and they were closed, but offered to meet us so that we could leave "our baby" as they called him until his cremation the next day. We politely declined but made an appointment for the next day. When we arrived a very caring woman recognized our pain and was so sweet and kind to us. She gently Winston from my arms and presented him in an area for visitation. We said our goodbyes, I hugged my little dog as I called him one last time and gave permission to proceed. We went through the business of ordering an urn and they were compassionate throughout. It took about two hours and they allowed us too wait. They really understand pet owners and conduct themselves admirably. We even received a hand signed sympathy card from them a few days after. They are a wonderful service and I would recommend them to any pet owner who suffers a loss. read more

"Beyond-the-call-of-duty" is a good way to describe Pets and Friends' services of Tyler, TX! I was very leery about pet crematory businesses that wouldn't let me wait and watch while my precious Weimaraner Miss Halla was being cremated, but Stacie at Pets and Friends removed all of my fears and doubts. She was so sweet, kind, understanding, and thorough. Because of that established trust, I once again called upon Pets and Friends' services to help me exhume my first love Miss Gretchen. I did not want to leave her gravesite susceptible to desecration, so Stacie and Pets and Friends' two owners made a house call (over a weekend no doubt) to help me retrieve and transport my baby girl to their facility to be cremated. Miss Gretchen's remains were handled with great care and dignity throughout the entire task, and I will now be at peace knowing she will remain safely by my side. So we got to bring Eric home today from the cremation facility. I really liked the details they added. They included several pouches of hair from him. They included a medallion that was with him through the entire process. We paid extra for his paw print which I know was worth the extra $30. They also own Hide-A-Way Small Animal Clinic. We have the absolute best vet out there! Dr. Hailey is truly a gift from God. So if you are in East Texas and are in need of any of these pet services please think of them. When I unpacked everything on my bed to look at it all Jackson came and threw a fit to see what was going on. I put him up and he just smelled it and laid next to the box. I don't know if he can smell Eric or not. I do know he had no interest in being up on the bed until Eric was home. This is an extremely hard thing to go through. It really helps to have people so dedicated to helping you get through this rough time. read more

They treated our loving Drummer Boy dog with respect and in a timely manner. We could not have been more proud to take our love one home with us, even though we rushed the laser picture a little. We should have allowed them a descent time to work but some of you know that we wanted him back now. They worked long hard hours to get him just right. We Thank the whole team for working and caring about us as well as our baby who was a rat terrier almost 15 years old. Explained he could come get Duke tonight, or he would help me instructions to keep him safe tonight. I elected for him to come get Duke tonight. Very nice young man, said he would take care of Duke tonight. That I could come see Duke tomorrow and tell him goodbye, and make any finally arrangements. Duke was my late husbands companion. He trained him from a puppy to go bird hunting with him.. He wanted me to have a great companion after he passed away. Duke was my protector. I just wanted to say what a wonderful job they did. My Cat Tiger died at the Vets. The Vet clinic, Animal Medical Clinic in Jacksonville Tx., called them up and handled all the arrangements. We just picked up Tiger from the Vets office. Pets and friends gave our Tiger a respectful afterlife. Not only did they put him a beautiful box, but gave us a medalian that they put with him, 2 locks of his fur, and a beautiful paw print in a personalized heart stone. I can't say enough about this business and the services they provide. I had to say Goodbye to one of my fur babies recently and was not able to bury her. I called pets and friends and received the most friendly and professional service. They picked my baby up at the vet's office and took care of her remains.
