I took my 3 dogs [lhasa, tibetan and corgi cross] to Pets At Home Poole just before Christmas. The girl at the desk asked me to sign a form. I said l hadn't got my glasses and asked her to tell me what it said. Her reply 'basically it says that if we find some thing wrong medically with your pet we can take it to our' in house' vets'. I agreed and signed. The cost per dog was £35. I went back to find them shawn not trimmed or cut. My Tibetan's anal area was bleeding from where the clippers had caught some skin, and her chest had huge bald patches. My Lhasa looked as though a kid had had a go with a razor as there were huge swathes where the fur had been cut away completely and he was bald which in a 12 year old dog can have catastrophic repercussions. When l complained the girl told me that they only use clippers and that they were short staffed that day. I was furious and demanded a refund which later that day the manager gave me. She had the gile to offer me 3 loyalty cards [1 for each dog] with a stamp on it. I asked what it was for and the lady said on your 6th visit you get charged half price. So i said 'surely if l were to come again the 3rd dog would be half price' No said the manager EACH dog must come 6 times.
