We both got toys for our dogs and the lady at the cashier was super friendly. They also have a grooming service here and I saw some of the dogs with cute little cuts. Overall, it's a cute store if you need to buy pet things. I got my gifts and I was happy with that.

WORST WANNABE PET STORE IVE SEEN IN 25 YEARS. Worst service…read morefrom the owner and tanks full of deformed and sick fish. Dead fish being eaten by tank mates in several tanks. Owner claims that his local customers only like cheap fish so its ok to sell them sick and deformed fish. All the varieties of Rainbow fish look the same. Sick and no colours at all. Most look crossbred and in terrible condition. Owner had a go at me as i spent over $52 and asked for a $2 discount. Although i spent some money here trying to save a few fish. I was told my 5 year old daughter had to go to the pub or mcdonalds to use a bathroom. If i was spending my money there, we would have used their bathroom. Certainly not a family friendly place and very dissapointing to see fish in such terrible condition and conditions. And the owner does not care at all. Just wants your money and then for you to leave. He tries to have a personal attack on customers instead of taking some advice onboard and caring for the animals and customers. Clearly the owner should be working shovelling dung away from the public.

The dogs aren't caged up when they are waiting to be groomed, they have an open play area where they can socialize, my puppy just loves it and she is so much more sociable with other dogs since going there. That is not all, the quality of the service is a bargain for what you pay. Cally and her colleges do a wonderful job at grooming my puppy and Cally (who used to be a vet nurse) also picked up that my puppy had an ear infection, which I was unable to identify myself, which in the long run has saved me a ton in vet bills as I was able to treat her immediately. I would highly recommend this groomer for any pet.

First of all this place shouldn't be called Value Vet as it's not really cheap. There are probably…read moremore expensive vets around, but I have been to cheaper. Many of the vets are good and I happily took my dog here for two years and was quite happy with them. Then my dog got a hair ball stuck in his abdomen and after $1000 worth of tests, they still had no idea what was wrong with him. They decided that they would start giving him different medication, which I had to pay for, until they could figure it out. At this point he had barely eaten any food in almost a week. Worst of all, they asked to see me every time I came back. Each 5 minute talk to me cost me another $70 for a consultation. After spending all this money, I took my dog to the RSPCA vet in Burwood. They charged me $40 for a second opinion, then another x-ray, which showed the obstruction. The full tests and operation there cost me $1000 compared to the $1000 at Vermont Value Vet just for tests. I worry that if I had kept taking my dog for more medication, he wouldn't be alive today. Unfortunately two years of good service, doesn't make up for a not being able to see a hairball and almost cost my dog his life. If you have a small problem with your dog and need somewhere close, this place is fine. If you are worried about your dog and he may need tests done, take him elsewhere.
