Receptionist verified Bill's comment's left on my dog's file April 2019 clearly stating a prescription and 12-month dose to be provided and a further consult was not required. Receptionist's rationale was that since Bill has retired new owners cannot process this. Overall, this practice failed to adhere to the instructions left by veterinarian and owner Bill who advised that a follow-up appointment was not required and to provide my dog with the required assistance. Current vet did not acknowledge me when attending the clinic on Wednesday 18th 2019 and took very little care of the feedback my partner and I provided over the phone. Disappointed about their service and will spread the word that this clinic is money hungry and their duty of care is lacking.

So we changed vets and gave Fitzroy Veterinary Clinic a chance. First impressions? It's busy. Busy and efficient. The crowd dispersed after a few minutes but it gave us a chance to see what it's like here when they're under pressure, and it was a relaxed environment. There's a dog side and a cat side to this place, and decorated accordingly. Our own little fur-ball doesn't travel well and gets a bit nervous in new places, but this was as good as we could hope for, given our in-and-out 'check up' we were there for. We were kept waiting for half an hour beyond our allotted time, but I suspect we arrived at the tail-end of a particularly busy period. Before long, we'd completed the forms and were ushered in to see a very friendly, plain-speaking vet who never once attempted to sign us up to an insurance plan, or push anything other than an honest verdict on how little Samson was doing. If you've signed your pet onto their best for pets program, a number of use of the Hydrobath is included in the package. There seems to be 3 clinics under the same brand, Carlton, Brunswick and Fitzroy. We go to their Brunswick clinic which don't have a Hydrobath onsite, so we are able to go to either Carlton or Fitzroy to use this facility. Towels and shampoos are available for you to use, and the Hydrobath is a simple deep tub to wash your dog in, a giant blow drier is available to use to dry your pooch quickly. Booking is required

Lucy is getting on a bit and therefore needs a bit more special attention - she is a little bit blind, a little bit deaf and, well, just really old in general. the people at the Carlton Vet Clinic are always fantastic, and like Miriam said in the previous review that will look after her at the drop of a hat. It really does put your mind at ease to know that this gem of a vet is available and will do everything they are capable of to look after your pooch/cat/guinea pig.

We advised we'd need her (the cat) to board there for over a month which was no problem. The staff are for the most part trained with veterinary science degrees and know a lot about cats. The fee is $20 a day and they will be fed, played with and every thing they will need. I think you pay slightly more if they need daily medication. The staff are happy for us to pick her up whenever we liked with a days notice or extend that time - however, holiday season gets booked UP so don't expect to keep your cat the for more than two weeks over the holiday season. My only, ONLY qualm is one of the girls who works there. When arriving and filling out our paperwork, we were blown away with how sarcastic she was being to us, and when I made the mistake of following the wrong girl back to the counter, I got "EXCUSE me!" She was so mean, abrupt and intimidating that my boyfriend and I were both scared of her and prayed that upon our return to pick up or cat, she wouldn't be working. She wasn't and we had a great experience picking up our girl and talking to the staff about her stay. When we were about to depart, she arrived for world. Arg! We tool this as our cue to leave. We might use them again (they are certainly the cheapest) but I can guarantee theyll get return customers if they fire this girl. You'll know who she is!

Cat Boarding Collingwood is amazing! We had to leave our…read moreboys there for just under 3months while we were between houses. When I dropped them off, I knew they would be happy with fish tanks in between each cage to entertain them! Cages were large, and the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgable! When picking them up, the staff had grown very fond of Terrance & Phillip, and were genuinely sad to see them leave. Phillip was very shy around strangers before going in, and came out amazingly more social! Will definitely use again!!!
