I brought my dogs, Diana and Luna, in for grooming after being told the price would be $115 for each dog. After the grooming was finished, we were surprised to be charged an extra $10 because the groomer said the girls had a lot of knots. But honestly, that left us confused--removing knots is exactly why we brought them in for professional grooming in the first place. We expected the original quoted price to cover the service, so the unexpected extra charge felt a bit frustrating and unclear. We won't be back. read more

Technically, this is my third review. I deleted my original two after a little bit of a rough start a year ago. But, things change. People change and places improve. Such is the case with Pets Square, which has not only upped their game and worked to improve the things that were a bit rough around the edges, but they have been consistent as of late in offering friendly, attentive and exceptional service. Today was no different. It was our first grooming here (and our dog's first haircut and grooming ever). It too had a bit of a shaky start with a bit of some miscommunication with the groomer and her not entirely following what we asked of her. None-the-less, at the end of the day, our dog came home looking adorable and beautiful (albeit, with just a little too much hair cut off and the groomer going a little rouge), and looking bright and cheerful. As dog dads we were a bit nervous, especially seeing that she's never been alone out of her environment, without her big brother, and in strange surroundings. She's used to being with me at work all day. Price wise, it was definitely competitive with other groomers and I was happy to walk the extra block or two to come to PS rather than go literally downstairs where our building has a dog grooming business on site. I prefer quality and excellence over convenience every time. And the owner happened in when we were on our way out and he knows I'm looking for food delivery, and he's was extremely helpful and appreciative of our business. I just may be reevaluating our dog food delivery and switching there on the next round. Definitely recommend. read more

*Reposting this from my Google review* BEWARE if you are thinking of taking your pet to this place for grooming!!! Came back with lesion on neck, cut whiskers, and side of butt area clipped (WITH PICTURES) Took my cat, Tiffany, for grooming after passing by this establishment. Since it was fairly close by and was newly opened, I wanted to try Pets Square out, thinking it was also to support a local small business. And from reading the reviews, it seemed like a good choice. BUT BOY WAS I WRONG! When Tiffany first came back, we already noticed a clipped area near her behind, but we saw that it wasn't a cut and she wasn't hurt, we didn't even think about reporting it. But the next day, in the sunlight, we noticed a red spot near her neck, which my first thought was that it might possibly be ringworm or maybe ticks/fleas? Never in our minds did we even think of it being a cut wound. After taking her to the vet, we found a 1cm lesion that the vet said doesn't seem like a ringworm infection, but likely because of a razor burn/cut since she was newly groomed. We reported this with the "owner", Sam (who later claimed he's just a manager) with photos, and he offered to give us a call with a solution the next day, sending us off without even confirming our contact info and even confused us with a different customer. Fast forward to meeting in person with both the groomer and Sam a few days later, we had to explain our whole situation again. And the groomer starts to inaccurately explain what type of wound it was and it wouldn't be possible with her grooming tools. When I contradicted her description of the wound, I asked if she even saw the photos shown to her by Sam, and her response was "I don't remember, show me again" but this same groomer also claimed that she would "remember" if she had made a cut to my cat, but doesn't remember the photos shown thereafter. Her suggestion is that my cat scratched herself with the new haircut, which FYI Tiffany is very used to getting. To that extent, she also denied responsibility for the clipping of the butt area which may now also be my cat's fault for scratching a whole cut patch with her nails. At one point, she even claimed that the vet was lying and the only mistake she made was that she didn't check Tiffany with me before I took her home. That would also be my mistake as well, because I had never had this happen with previous groomers who all did the same lion cut. What's an even bigger mistake on my part was that I even left a 20% tip for her without checking! After continuously denying responsibility, they insisted to "make us happy" to offer us a 50% refund and a free haircut. Which to be completely honest, as a pet owner, would you trust the same groomer again even if it was free??? Not to mention the attitude of this groomer, anything you say will not matter because "this has never happened before" and she is very well-versed in grooming cats and dogs. When the manager apologized on her behalf, but I pointed out that I didn't feel like her attitude was apologetic at all, she even offered me a sarcastic "I'm sorry!" When we rejected their offer and asked for a full refund instead, suddenly both the groomer and self-claimed owner were just workers, and it was against policy to do so. I would like everyone reading this review to know that we DID NOT accept the offer and WILL NOT accept any other offers from this business. This post is just to a warning to all pet owners to take your business elsewhere! Protect your pets!!! read more

I brought my puppy in for his first haircut . I very clearly said NOT SHORT. I stopped back in a couple of minutes later because the vet is next door . In that very few minutes she has made him so short- before screaming I cried it's probably a bad idea to write a review when I am so angry but I will be angry forever . The groomer and please I want to be clear I am very nice but clearly has her own ideas and not afraid to use them . When I picked him up I almost didn't recognize her m . The young girl at the register who could not have been less understanding and rides responded " listen my girl"let's start there I am 3 times her age a customer and surely not her girl went on to tell me an irrelevant story about a bad haircut her dog received I don't care . She can do what she wants with her dog but to not even say "I understand " " we are sorry" boggled my mind .The groomer is inside a pet store which is probably 25% higher in price than everyone else . Ok I pay for convenience- for toy's and food NOT for a haircut. I can watch in the mirror when my hair is being cut or colored - he can't. I also told her his back leg might be a little uncomfortable from the two shots yesterday . I'm f you have any desire to choose what your dog loves pls like and that he is comfortable I urge you not to come to this place. We are moving but I would hope that if someone had a similar experience they would share it. Just in case the young lady disputes this I was so Ang, I recorded the conversation.
