i have taken my dog there for grooming several times usually with acceptable results. over the last week i have tried to schedule a grooming 3 or 4 times via their website. picked the groomer i wanted and a time which was open and 2 days later was told not available. ok, picked another time which was open and again 2 days later was told not available but she told me she was available fri. so i said i'll make that work, what time? she told me 2 i said fine. 2 days later, today i get a text i was cancelled. time to find a different groomer! read more

Took my golden retriever puppy to be groomed and after an hour they said that they were unable to finish or dry him. While picking him up I had 2 other people tell me that they often refuse energetic dogs. They still charged me $85 even tho they didn't finish the service. Would be nice to know this ahead of time or I wouldn't have booked here. read more

Friendly and knowledgeable staff! We took our new Pomeranian puppy to Petsense Ellensburg on the way back to Seattle from Eastern WA as we were looking for a harness that fit her tiny body. The staff were incredibly helpful and found the perfect harness for her within minutes. The pup peed in the store (our fault). The sales associate cleaned it up right away with an unfailingly positive attitude. I walked in looking for a very specific dog food and even though they didn't have (but soon will) Stan and Austin called around and found out where it was, how much and what size. He helped me sort out all of my information in their system so I could be part of the food purchase program. I take my dog in sometimes. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. They do chit chat a lot but would you want to never be able to chit chat all day at your job. Life is hard enough. My only complaint is I wish they had more stuff. Still have to order or go to Tri Cities. read more

I have gone to this store several times and try to like it. Every time it's a more frustrating experience. Today I went to get a bag of dog food. Should be simple. The aisles had so much crap in them I couldn't get to anything. The only person working asked if I was looking for something after I'd been wandering around trying to negotiate the piles of dog beds literally blocking the dog food aisle! I said "yes" at which point her lunch was being delivered. She actually just walked away while I was mid sentence without even saying excuse me. She then proceeded to talk to the delivery guy for like 3 minutes and completely ignored me. I like the illusion of convenience but it never really is. Save your own headache and go to Old Mill like I did. They had what I needed and at a comparable price. read more

Prior to this post, I had been to Petsense on 6 occasions. Service good, grooming good. On this occasion I made an appt for MJ (my cockapoo) to get groomed @ Petsense in Ellensburg WA Monday 1:30pm. Monday 10am I get a call from Petsense telling me that the groomer is sick today and that I would have to reschedule, I rescheduled for Friday 9:30am (today). When I get there today the Mgr calls the groomer at home, she then tells me that the groomer missed her alarm and would be right down in few. Hmmmm. So I told her ok and went to the car to wait. I thought for a few minutes and then went back inside and told Mgr to cancel appt and if I could get Owner/Corporate phone number, after getting number I was walking to my car when I overheard Mgr outside talking to Dog Food Rep saying "you can't please everyone". WHAT... I then walked over to her and said "are you kidding me" This is you guys not me... all of a sudden the Dog Food Rep pipes up and told me that's not the way to talk to a lady...WHAT.... I then told Rep to mind his own Biz, and that he did not know what was going on... we exchanged some nice words and I left. You can't make up stuff like this. Did I overreact? Every time me and my partner come into this store, the staff is constantly talking poorly about other staff members instead of helping customers. Blonde at the register is always part of the conversation. Super unprofessional, probably won't be coming back. read more
