Petsmart veterinary incompetence. Took my golden who was obviously in distress to the Petsmart vet(the whole pathetic nature of the vets in Casa Grande is another story) , $600 dollars later they had no clue and recommended further $$ testing. By the grace of God I felt the best solution was to take her to my vet in San Diego. No appointment, took her right in and in 5 minutes relayed the bad news. Had to put my pet to sleep because of obvious heart, fluid, etc issues and were very surprised to hear the vets in Casa Grande couldn't figure that out. If Fifi needs her nails trimmed, go here. Otherwise take your pet to a competent vet in Phoenix or elsewhere. read more

Karen is a very patient and very good trainer ... she is polite, friendly, personable and very professional...each class seems to hit the nail on the head with my puppy's training each week ... the rest of staff at petsmart are also very friendly, helpful and polite ... Everyone i've encountered there seem to know their animals, where everything is as well as be available to help out when needed ! Always clean and better staffed than the rest of the PetSmarts that I have ever been in. Their fish supply section is well stocked, and the small animals they have there seem well cared for. They always have a plethora of toys for my doggo to sniff through until he finds just the right one. read more

I have always been happy with petsmart. Until this Josh person cashier scolded me for tapping my dog on the nose and told him to focus on me. He goes, you can't do that. I'm like a tap on the nose. Scheduled appt 2 weeks ago, waited in line this morning while a very aggressive dog tried to bite my dog. Get up to check in and was told the groomer called in!! No back up plan, nothing. I received no call, even though they stated they called at 7. I have been getting confirmation calls and texts each time confirming the appointment. Very very bad business!! UPDATE: Tried Petsmart Grooming one more time based on friend's recommendation about Marissa, one of the groomers there. She did a beautiful job on our miniature poodle and exceeded our expectations. I'm upgrading my rating to 4 stars instead of 2 based on this week's excellent customer service. Thank you, Marissa. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Not the best groomers. Casa Grande location- do not recommend. Staff stressed out my new rescue and then put nasty notes in record to refuse service. Vindictive unfriendly people. I gave it 4 out of 5 since I book on the app. My cellphone did not transfer to their computer system. I was a bit freaked out about not hearing back to go get my pug. But when I got there they realized my phone was missing on the system. They apologize and gave me a discount. The actual service for my pug was great he is super clean and they cleaned out his ears really good. I will definitely go back I'll just have them check my phone number every time. read more

This is the worst experience at a Groomers I have ever had. People were unfriendly and had trouble inputting our information let alone actually doing the grooming. Called at 9 AM today asking if they had any available times for my dog to be washed, teeth brushed and nails filed. They said sure, come in at 2. Cool. Get there and they tell me it's going to be a couple of hours because they are a bit behind. Fine, I have no where to be. Did some errands to kill time. 4 rolls around and still no call, so I head back to the store to see what's up, thinking we have to be almost done by now. Nope. Get told my dog has been bathed, is still wet and still hasn't had her teeth brushed or nails done. I reply, "you know what, I can't wait around anymore. It been 2 hours and that is all you've done? What is the point of making an appointment it I am going to just be sitting around and my dog is going to spend most of the time in a kennel?" Then the groomer has the nerve to say, "Fine I will go get her, she is still wet." Sighs, storms off with an attitude and slams the door to the kennels open. I have had it at this point and reply, "And you can drop the attitude." The manager is standing right there, yet offers no apology for her employee's behavior, instead makes excuses as to why they are so behind. Apparently when you call to make an appointment, it is not the store you are talking to but rather a call center and they have a tendency to overbook the stores. A disconnect that needs to be fixed immediately. She said they probably should not have accepted the appointment today at all, and I agreed. Look if you are too booked then just be honest and don't waste your customers time and lie about it. I could have simply booked for another day. Instead now you've just lost a loyal customer. At least they comped the bath, but I got to drive home with a wet dog in the back seat. Will not be returning. read more

Went to petsmart last night where I usually take my dog to get a nail grind. The employee there had told me, the rabies vaccine was out dated from 12/14 and they would have to muzzle him. Thinking to myself this didn't sound right knowing i've taking him there this year with no problems. I had questioned it, but still had them proceed. Wishing I had the paper records on hand to avoid this whole thing, as soon as I returned home I checked the records for myself. I knew they were wrong! The vaccine I had gotten was a 3 year and didn't expire till 12/17. My dog did not deserve that error that someone just looked it over. This whole thing was completely unnecessary and could of been avoided if there were more competent employees working. read more

We've always taken our dogs to see Stephanie and Eileen. The 2 Pomerianians go to see Stephanie and our pitbull / bulldog mix goes to see Eileen. The dogs enjoy their few hours at the groomers. We will always recommend these two professional ladies to all who are looking for groomers. read more

I have been bringing my dog for her grooming needs since 2011 and they do a much better job than any other place in Casa Grande. I've only had to ask them one time to please cut the fur around her eyes for her to see better. One of the times walking out of petsmart my dog stepped in gum and they removed it for me even though she was done with her grooming which was so nice of them. read more

I have been taking my dog to see Stephanie every 6-8 weeks for nearly 2 years now. He is a very timid little dog, but Stephanie is so good with him, and I know I can completely trust her with his care. He always looks awesome when I pick him up. I don't want my dog to see me and get excited, so I sometimes stand out of sight and watch them through the window as they groom the dogs. You can tell that the groomers enjoy what they do. Stephanie soothingly talks to my dog and sometimes even gives little hugs. I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

I decided to take the day off from grooming my White German Shepherd and take him to Petsmart for a grooming. I opted for the upgraded shedding treatment which included a bath and comb out using a de-shedding tool called a Furminator. I have this tool at home and use it on my dog often with great success in controlling his shedding. Again I was taking it easy and let the groomers at Petsmart clean-up my dog and his coat. Well, when I picked up my dog 3 hours later his coat was thinned out but he still had shedding hair blowing off of him near his rump. So I waited in their mini-lobby at the groomers and checked my dog when he came out. He bolted away from the two lady groomers(He's a larger dog) and tried to get out of the door( he is normally Very calm and well trained). So I checked his coat agian and to my shock discovered that his fully white coat had oozing BLOOD and several bald patches to the skin from over combing. I was furious and asked them what they did ! They were at a loss for words and retreated to the back room. I went to the front of the store and spoke with the manager who apologized for the groomers behavior and actions and comp'ed the grooming session. It's been over a month now and my dogs hair is beginning to grow back from those bald patches and scabbed over wounds; he had a few days of sensativity on the scraped gouges to his flesh that the 'professional' PetsMart groomers caused. This is the last time I will take him to this very unprofessional groomer. I like the store, but those groomers are awful( I didn't catch their names, but they were two older ladies...run if you see them). I don't know what went wrong but the Furminator is a delicate tool that can cause injury if you push to hard while brushing, the instructions warn of this as does common sense.
