Had to take my dog in to be euthanized today. They were all wonderful and caring. We had the Best Doctor! Compassionate to all of us..Very bad day for us, but with caring people it makes it more bearable. I Love this facility and wish it was closer but it's well worth the drive! I am sad to give Coolidge Vet Clinic just 2 stars. The staff is genuinely great -- friendly, caring, and clearly knowledgeable. They treat our pets well and we have always felt heard when we finally get in. Unfortunately, the waiting times to get in are excessive and this seems to be a consistent issue for a while now. This makes it stressful when you have a sick pet. We did think that with the addition of new vet things would get better but sadly it does not seem so. Again....Staff is excellent -- the long wait for an appointment time is the only reason for the lower rating. Hope they can improve this. Unfortunately, we have had to seek a vet service elsewhere, which is sad because we do like the staff here. read more

This has been my vet for 15 years. They sold to corporate. "Rules changed" I'm told by them. I had an emergency with my dog Ruger and I was refused. I called 4 times yesterday pleading. He needed to be tuned and IV started. Refused all 4 times. My dog, Ruger died last night, early evening. This morning I get a phone call, I'm told I can now bring him in. WHAT? They knew and weren't listening yesterday. Bloat isn't a wait thing. 3 hrs before serious damage is done. My poor dog suffocated. My dog was bite by a rattlesnake at night. We took the dog to the Dr Wood the next morning. She took him in as an emergency and treated him for two days. He is now home, healthy and happy! I'm so grateful for Dr Wood and her staff! They saved my dog and were so kind and understanding! read more

My poor dog Dexter, who has been treated by this office for 6 years now. He has struggled with Valley Fever in his lungs for 3 years now. He came up lame recently, and still can barly walk. "Doctor" Pete, who is very familiar with his history, should have realized that a Valley Fever titer and some common sense would have answered all questions. A proper and expedient digiagnosis might mean that he he could now walk. After two visits, "Doctor" Pete was still uncapable of realizing that my dog's Valley Fever had spread from his lungs to his bones and joints. It took my dog groomer less than 20 seconds to diagnose him with the spreading of his valley fever. Still, no anti fungal meds. This place is pathetic. Dr. Pete = your pet suffering. Not good. Couldn't get my dog in to see the vet for 6 weeks. I have to find another vet. It's a shame it's come to this.

You cost my dog the comfort of her last year. You cost her her life. There is so much you can offer for arthritis. An extra strength supplement through chewy that needs vet approval, Librella once a month shot, water therapy, laser therapy... You just shrugged and said there was nothing to be done about it and all supplements are the same. You gave me steroids instead and it destroyed her kidneys in two weeks. I wish I hadn't trusted you. I wish I hadn't believed you cared about your patients because the moment things got tough you let us down in such an unbelievable way. And it doesn't matter to you even now. We trusted you, we believed in this place and sang it's praises but you were only phoning it in. General check ups are all you can handle. I wish so badly I had gone to anyone else sooner. I might still have her and if not she at least wouldn't have spent her last year in so much pain. The last vet we saw showed her so much care in that day, more than you ever did all of last year. All the tests and all the answers (arthritis, infection, liver elevated, diabetes before the blood test that showed her kidneys...)!! Too late...and two days later I had to let her go before Christmas. I drove an hour round trip over and over month after month last year seeking guidance and help from you as she got worse. You turned us away. Said she was fine, said she was old, said there was nothing to do at her age. I can never get that time back I can never undo those choices but I wish more than anything I hadn't trusted you to want to help her. I believed you and believed you had no other answers truly but you are simply out of date and out of touch. You should retire before you cost anyone else their pet. You have no right holding their little lives in your hands because you are careless and callous. And if you don't retire then I beg you to update your medical knowledge and practice so no one has to suffer like we did. Like she did. Please. She deserved so much better... read more

For the first time my Winston was comfortable! The last place we went to upon moving to Casa Grande, he would not let them touch him nor would he leave my side. But Coolidge Veterinary not only made my daughter and I comfortable they made Winston feel special! I left my dog in, what I thought would be, great care. He needed his tooth extracted and I was advised to pick him up at 3:30pm, I showed up on time and was instructed to go around to pick up my dog. I sat down as there were 2 other families before me who were receiving their instructions on, what appeared to be the end of care for their pets and respected their privacy when no later than 10 minutes pass when a gentleman pulls around and pays for his dogs treatment. I wasn't instructed on how the rotation of customers goes so I stood up so I could be seen next when the woman at the desk saw me and called someone else to the desk where they continued to have their conversation for 10 minutes about their personal health and other matters that had nothing to do with the pets. As they finished their conversation, the woman behind the desk exclaimed, "NOW ITS YOUR TURN!" I continued to explain that I had no idea how the rotation works for customers and how there was a customer that had cut in front of me. She then rudely asked me to come around the desk and do her job for her. I told her that this treatment was unacceptable and she got up and told the other woman across from her to take care of this guy because I've had it with him. If they didn't have my dog I would have got up and walked out of this mess of a place. I asked the new woman in front of me for the manager and she said she was the manager. I asked her if she lets her employees disrespect her, the business and above all the customers like that. She brushed it aside and said we're moving on. I said no, this needs to be addressed as I did nothing wrong and was very disrespected by her worker. At this point folks behind me were upset that this was going on and holding up the line. I didn't feel safe as the manager was co-signing her workers awful behavior and allowing this to happen. I called 911 to have an officer witness this as I didn't feel safe. Officer showed up and the behavior of the front office staff changed. I let him know what occurred and he just advise I pick up my dog and go about my business. The experience was already ruined for me, at this point I just wanted to pick up my dog and go home. Mind you my son was with me and watched the whole thing unfold. I left very irritated and disappointed with this place. I would acknowledge any wrongdoing on my end, as I said my son was with me and I always lead by example, however I did nothing wrong. The woman did tell the officer that she had some personal issues and that she was wrong for what she did but too little too late. I will never go back to this god awful place just because of one person. Dr Wood if you're reading this, clean your house and please retrain your staff on how important it is to be professional at all times. read more

We have had all our fur babies taken care of here at Coolidge Veterinary Hospital for the past 15 years and have been very happy with all my visits. Word of mouth travels far and over the years because of all the excellent referrals they have received from happy customers their office has become very busy. They are human and can only do so much. We bring our dogs to CVH for care and surgeries. I have found the the animal care to be top notch. Our fur babies a had minor surgeries (neuter and Hernia) and they were performed without issue. They are very busy so I make my appointments in advance. The staff at CVH are always friendly, kind, and efficient. Worth the 30 min drive to have this level of care for our pets. read more

Cheap, but cruel and heartless. Animals are just personal property to them. They show no empathy for you when your best friend is sick or dying. You get about as much sympathy from a mechanic when your car breaks down. No staff wears a mask, so they clearly don't care about your health either. read more

They are awesome when you need to put your dog down, but horrible when you require care for your dog. Today I called to arrange an appointment for my dog, who is doing well other than fighting off a chronic GI infection, since he ate my other dog's vomit last month, that was mixed with seeds and twigs from outside. He received 7 days of antibiotic for that, which it cleared up quite well, but rebounded after a week. The receptionist refused to schedule him, because their soonest appointment is ten days out, insisting that my dog should be seen right away someplace else as an emergency. Despite informing her that I cannot afford the costs of emergency treatment, and that I can't afford the more costly vets closer to Phx, she hung up on me. Why is this practice allowing receptionists to diagnose non-emergencies over the phone? She didn't even ask me about my dog's mental alertness, if he was eating or drinking, or even when my dog ate the vomit. She was just being a bitch and didn't want to schedule my dog for an appointment, nor wanted to transfer me to a vet tech. read more

We called them Saturday. Our dog ADOBE which is a Min Pin went in this Friday and was diagnosed with Diabetes. We called Vet Saturday to tell them we had problems. Vomiting etc. The tech said give her full insulin shot even though she hadn't been eating since we brought her in. Tech said bring her in Monday she died Saturday after insulin shot.... read more

I had an AMAZING visit. Ive been here once before 2 years ago and it was okay. But this time.. I was majorly worried about my dog and when I was telling the vet assistant what was wrong I almost started crying. She was so sweet.. just told me it was okay and nodded kindly and before she left she said to just stay positive, that I will be okay. I don't know her name but she had long black hair with some highlights.. and was wearing a wide headband. Thank you so much hun. We board our 3 dogs here a couple times a year and are always satisfied with the care, price and friendliness of the staff and vet. They offer good rates, cheaper than anywhere else around on boarding and vaccines. This time was the longest we have left them and came back to freshly washed dogs and trimmed nails. We were traveling through the area when it became evident that my sweet girl was headed for the rainbow bridge. A lovely stranger in a Starbucks recommended (NAY INSISTED!) on this place and it was a god send. Dr. Woods was caring and compassionate and walked me through the whole process. My sweet Bridgeeta didn't feel a thing, it was cozy and warm and just the way it should be. Dr. Woods hugged and hugged me and assured me I was making the right, responsible choice. I know money doesn't matter at a time like that but it was very reasonable, less than quoted at two other places. It was always going to be a horrible time but the staff there made it bearable and I didn't feel like a moron at all sobbing all the way. I can't praise them enough. I have been coming to Coolidge veterinary since 2002. This used to be a great place to take your pets for care. The past few years it has gone down hill. Anytime you need them for something other than basic exams or shots or simple procedures they send you away. Today 12/15/2021 I called first thing my dog had a sezuire and they would only see her if I was going to put her down. They have been her vet for 12 years. What kind of office does that. The staff at Coolidge Veterinary Hospital are the greatest! We had to take our cat in every day for a week to have his bladder expressed and CVH made it so easy for us. They gave us a standing appointment at the same time every day and they even saw us at the last minute on a Saturday when we forgot to make an appointment. We highly recommend CVH.
