There's an employee at register one. She's checking out one customer. I stand in line behind the customer. When I get up to the register, she tells me that that register is closed and to go to register three. I go walk over to register three. There are three people in this lane. I watch a woman walk up to register one and that cashier check her out. So I go back to register one. Because the three people in front of me have a lot of items and I only have a couple. When I get to register one, she tells me again this register is closed and I'll have to go to another register. I just set my basket down and walked out. Worst customer service ever. And the woman she checked out in front of me? She was in line behind me the entire time. So she got to skip and I kept being pushed to the back of the line. I will never come back to this location. Buyer Beware: PetSmart Clearwater (North and South), does not honor their advertised prices. What you see online is not what you will receive in-store. //Issue: PetSmart . com advertised live fish (as seen in the attached), for a promotional sale for fish bought in the store. The price was not honored. Who is to know if any advertised price will be honored? The Manager will say that is only for "feeder fish", but that is not what their site depicts. This is not complicated the PetSmart add shows the specific fish at the specific price and yet the managers will literally ignore it and say well that's only for feeder fish. We started using this store for our orders and have had nothing but issues. In October I did a same day delivery order through the PetSmart app. Only part of the order was delivered. I contacted the driver who said they did not have the order. I called the store only for the female manager to tell me it was on me for ordering with an app. The app was the PetSmart app. She insisted they don't offer delivery. Sadly, she called herself a manager. We went back & forth, I ended up disputing the part of the order I did not receive & was credited. I then placed another order. They claimed they were out of half of my order. Despite the website showing it's all available. I've placed several more orders since. I've been trying to order from a different store to avoid this one however supplies seem limited so I have to check surrounding areas. I've contacted customer support multiple times to be told they can place the order for me due to issues with the app. I ended up buying dog toys that were shipped rather than delivered from the store. This week I placed an order with the current promo in the app. I ordered a bag of dog food & 2 toys. The promo was an additional 20% off same day delivery orders. They canceled the 2 toys saying they were out of stock. I checked the website, it still showed 4 in stock. I guess someone was just too lazy to look for them. The bag of food was delivered AFTER I requested they cancel it. They did not cancel as requested. They removed the promo from my order. So here I was trying to save 20% however with their taxes, fees & tips they charged me $60 for a $50 bag. I set out to save 20% & paid an additional 20%! I requested the order be canceled! They have ripped us off multiple times in the past few months. I only placed the order for the promos. They removed all promos from my order & overcharged me for the one item that was left! The app is junk, the website & app continue to show incorrect information or crash prior to placing the order. The assistant store manager has no clue what she is doing. The store manager is nice & follows up however he's not always there & obviously not in charge of updating websites. He also must not supervise filling & packaging of orders since they repeatedly fail to fill the orders as placed. I could understand an occasional out of stock item but every single order? Ridiculous & uncalled for! They should also not be removing promos from orders that qualified when placed. It's not my fault you can't properly stock your stores! read more

I have bought the same K/D food for my 17 year old from my preferred PetSmart but stopped here, for the last time, on the way home. I believe that because my wife speaks with an accent it is the only reason she was treated like she was to dumb to buy dog food. If you are old and white and would get lost finding a good pet store stop here. Otherwise, 'run Forest RUN'. DO NOT USE THEIR GROOMER. I took my dog there two days ago and noticed that he was licking at an area between his lower stomach and tail. He developed a hotspot and is in a lot of pain. He has also been shaking his ears and trying to scratch at them. Which tells me they were not gentle with washing his ears and most likely got water in them. Very disappointed and heartbroken for my little guy. I will NOT be going back and suggest that you do not take a chance. read more

Went in to pick up dog food. Noticed there beta fish display had up lighting under there tiny cups. Seems somewhat cruel and unnecessary to have a bright led light shining into there cup all day like that. Asked the cashier amber about if they are on all day. She said yea and asked why I was asking. Told her I was just surprised and felt that it was inhumane. She then couldn't figure out why that seemed wrong and didn't agree. I often receive email specials to order online & pick up in store. Crazy but somehow this system does not work streamlined. Often they haven't had my items, etc. I don't understand why they are unable to price match their online prices as well. My animals dry food has way too many times been brought home only to find it's been mishandled at the stocking warehouse & I'm left with 3/4 of a bag of dust. Contacted manufacturer & have been advised that the way they pack/store on the lifts crumbles this very natural nibble. Contacted PetSmart corporate & nothing has been done. Standard persmart. I will point out that blue buffalo practically should be on the stores sign 1/3 of the whole store seems to be blue. (Which is ok I buy blue for my dogs) but just saying. The store however feels cold, it's dark, staff are friendly enough but it just doesn't seem as... Hard to find the words not upscale but as alive or active maybe as the other persmarts I am used to going to in ocala. All in all they probably have everything you need but not any particularly nice selections of dog beds or bowls accessories things like that. But at the end of the day they have the essentials..... Disgusted with the service received I received from the grooming salon at Clearwater Mall PetSmart Grooming Salon. I arrived on time with my two dogs for their grooming appointment. Was greeted with "we are very busy" - not "hello" or "be with you now" just " we are very busy" and a dirty look". Ten minutes later I was told that they had only booked one of my dogs not both. Even although it was 100% their fault I was told they will only help with the one dog. I left with both. They were extremely rude. I have 3 dogs I regularly have groomed. I will never ever expose my dogs to such ill mannered people (how would my dogs get treated if they can't even be polite to humans?). I take my dogs to a decent grooming parlour where people have manners and appreciate your business from now on. read more

I am in and out of this place pretty often for cat and dog toys as well as those massive 'leg bone' things. Most stuff is priced well. Other things, like Kongs and edible(not topical) flea meds, are priced better elsewhere (like Target and online). Banfield is great. Staff is great. My animals are happy campers. read more

THIS IS A REVIEW FOR THE PET GROOMING: I was out to lunch and I remembered my dog needed a hair cut. I was going to go shopping and I knew Petsmart was in the same place I was going to shop. So I took my dog in, they got us in the same day (you do have to make a reservation). We met the groomers and they seemed very nice to our dog. About 2 1/2 hours later, I got a call to come pick my dog up. He looked very nice, but when I got home, I discovered that my dog had been burned! He had an 8 inch long burn on his stomach, and a burn about the size of a half dollar coin on his upper arm! He is a Dachshund-Yorkie mix, so this was a very big burn for him! He is now scared of anyone other than his family, when he used to be such an outgoing dog! The people knocked $12 off the bill, and we didn't know why. They didn't even mention the burn! PetsMart Banfield has no integrity. Please do NOT buy the "Wellness Plan" they tout, Ive had multiple negative experiences at two locations. At this location my dog ingested something I knew was poisonous (onions) I contacted the vet was given the number for Pet poison control. After calling the advice from the poison control cost $60. I was desperate so I did it and it saved my animals life. Important to note that the vet didn't have me come in or provide any info to me over the phone despite being a wellness plan member. Poison control advised that I get baseline bloodwork and repeat bloodwork to ensure my dog would be monitored In case some toxic onions were absorbed prior to the induced vomiting. I went to the vet explained what had happened and that I wished to have baseline bloodwork done I was told without seeing the vet that couldn't be done and without an appointment I couldn't complete and would need to return. Despite the urgent nature I made a follow up appointment for the next day and took off work to bring in my dog, I was then quoted that blood work would be over $200 to draw blood 1x and $200 to draw blood a few days later, but that the tech could draw blood without the dog being seen by the vet. So I was given contradictory info (vet needed/then not needed). If bloodwork was that expensive why wouldn't the office quote the price prior to having me take off work to return the next day? I left the office with no bloodwork being completed the office never offered to have the vet see my dog no one called to follow up nor did they show any concern for my dogs health during or after the visit. They lie to your face and waste your time. I had another negative experience at the Ulmerton location. Buyer beware time and money waster. Banfeild has lost my business for any dog I ever own. Looking for a 48" Kong crate pad, so I asked a nice lady stocking pet beds if it's possible they have any Kong crate pads in black. A man kneeling next to her doesn't look up, says whatever's out there is all we have. Too lazy to even look up, really? No worries, I won't make the mistake of spending money here in the future. The location in the Clearwater Mall complex is convenient for dropping in while doing other things nearby. However, there is usually no one available to help on the floor with large items and questions about items are usually met with a lack of any product knowledge whatsoever. read more

So, about a week ago I took my dog to the grooming salon at Pet Smart. I have heard some bad things about this place, had a family member who took her pet to the vet and her dog almost died. Even though I decided to take my dog there because she needed to get a trim, I don't know how to do it and didn't want to do it myself because I didn't want to hurt my dog. It was the only place that I knew about. Please keep in mind that I was the one who always bathe my dog and we are from Orlando, so every time she needed a trim she would go with a friend of mine who takes care of dogs (very well), other than that, I ALWAYS bathe my dog myself, and she never had any problems. Anyways, she came back she was cute and smelling well, but after about 3 days her head started to smell funny, I thought it was extremely weird because she is a very quiet dog and really hard to get dirty. Today, tired of the smell my father decided to look into her ears, it ended up that she has this HUGE (when I say huge I mean HUGE) black wax inside her ear, I called her vet in Orlando, and he told me that this means infection most probably caused by water from her bath inside her ears. I also forgot to mention that after her bath she's been quieter, more than usual, and she barely eats, I tried everything. So anyways, thank you so much PetSmart (the place where I trusted my dog to be well taken care of) for ruining mine and my pets week, now her vet doesn't open on Sunday, so I will have to make a drive all the way to Orlando so he can apply some antibiotics into her ear, hopefully, she won't suffer till then. Now some of you may even ask me " why not take her to the vet at PetSmart?" Well, if they are not even able to give my dog a bath without giving her an ear infection, then I don't think they will be able to treat her without hurting her even more. So again, thank you PetSmart for this horrible experience, I hope my experience can be of use for anyone, if you are thinking about taking your dog to PetSmart for ANY kind of service, it's most definitely not worth it! Horrible customer service, employees not fully trained on policy and operating system with a manager who is too concerned about leaving for break before taking care of a customer. Upon looking online for the best price on Advantix, I find that Petsmart has a great deal. I proceed to go to the store #1141 and discover the price is $30 higher than advertised online. I then pull up the online price on my phone and ask the clerk if they will price match their OWN online pricing. She then explains that Petsmart is attempting to boost online sales and therefore cannot honor the price in store. I can however, place the order online and select in store pick up. She also mentions that it can take 15-20 minutes for the order to be received on their end. Annoyed, I place the order online. I receive a confirmation email and show it to the clerk asking her if they can process my order now since I'm one already in the store, and two holding the product in my hand. She tells me she's unsure and gets her manager. I explain what has happened and he graciously says, oh it's my online price and I'm happy to price match it for you. Good to know your employees don't understand the price matching policy. He then grabs another employee and tells him to cancel the order "on the ipad" and price match it in the store and leaves to go on break. The employee couldn't find my order on the ipad and proceeded to tell me that he wasn't sure that cancelling the order on the ipad would in fact cancel my online order. Completely frustrated that first, the clerk didn't know Petsmart will match, second the manager was in too much of a rush to go on break to take care of a customer, and third left me with an employee who was unsure of how to fully handle my situation, I left the store. 20 minutes later I return to find the manager confused as to why I had returned. I explained to him that the other employee was too unsure on how to cancel the order and I opted to wait to see if the order would come in on the IPad so I didn't have to worry about being double charged for the product. read more
