The Good - Our dog seems to enjoy going to Barks and always comes back 100% exhausted (assumingly…read morebecause he has so much fun). We have had generally positive interactions with the staff and the facility seems fairly nice from what we can see. The cage-less atmosphere is a big plus for us. The Bad- You're almost guaranteed to have to pay additional fees for boarding (for those with traditional work or vacation trip schedules). For boarding you can't do a morning check-in or an afternoon/evening check-out without paying an extra $15 fee for each on top of the $50 per night fee. You can't pick your dog up on Sundays at all unless you make pre-arrangements and pay another $15 fee. The Ugly- We felt pretty scammed on our last boarding. We dropped him off Friday for a 1-night stay and were told we could pick him up anytime before 7pm the next day (the front desk girl even said "Saturday? Anytime before 7"). But we received a call at 6:15pm the next day asking when we were coming to pick up our dog because they were closing (they told us the girl at the front desk made a mistake and they don't stay open until 7pm on Saturdays). We said we were 15 minutes away, our GPS said we would be there at 6:30pm. They said they were sorry about the mistake, but that was too long to wait and we would have to pick him up the next morning. We weren't thrilled, but mistakes happen, ok. First thing the next morning we went to pick them up and the front desk girl (the one who had said 7pm) was very apologetic, but then CHARGED us both for the 2nd night we didn't want AND a Sunday pickup fee. Blown away, I asked "are you really charging us for the 2nd night?". She called what I assume was the manager and they took off the Sunday pickup fee but still charged us the extra $50 for the extra night. Might be a little over-dramatic, but it really felt like they held our doggo hostage and then demanded ransom to get him back. We paid it, but we really lost our trust in Barks with this. We'll probably try to avoid Barks in the future if we can. The ???- every time we pick our pup up from boarding, he drinks a comical amount of water. It's probably because he's too busy running around with the other dogs to drink, but we do hope they have water bowls out for the dogs at all times.

The doctors, technicians, and staff were always professional, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring. They never made us feel rushed and always took the time to answer questions and explain treatment options. A few weeks ago, we faced the heartbreaking reality of saying goodbye to Tango. The team at Godley Station helped guide us through one of the most painful experiences a pet owner can endure with compassion, dignity, and kindness. Their support during that difficult time meant more to our family than words can adequately express. Then, sometime later, we received a handwritten sympathy card signed by members of the staff along with Tango's paw and nose prints. It was a beautiful experience despite heart wrenching emotions. Dr. Nesbit has been an excellent Vet for Miller, and I appreciate how he never tried to rack tests and pricing up and always seemed truly focused on the well-being of my dog. Dr Nesbit has a spirit that only other dog lovers and dogs understand. Thank you for helping me through some tough times with my BFF (Best Fury Friend), I highly recommend him and Godley Station to all.

I had a very disappointing experience this morning at The Paw Spa, LLC. I was doing a favor for a…read morefriend by dropping off her dog for a 9:30 AM appointment. I arrived around 9:25 AM, having never been to this location before. I don't own pets myself. When I pulled up, I honestly thought the place was abandoned. The building is very small and resembles a converted shed, which was already a little off-putting. Around 9:27, I saw three people exit their cars and go inside the gated area. I followed shortly after with the dog, but when I tried the door, it was locked. I knocked, assuming maybe they just hadn't unlocked it yet since the appointment was for 9:30. At exactly 9:30, someone came out, flipped the sign to "open," and I entered with the dog. I greeted them with a "Good morning," but was immediately met with a rude and aggressive attitude. One of the women told me, very harshly, that I should never knock on the door again because they were inside grooming. I was shocked and confused. I had no idea. Then she snapped, "Can you shut the door? We have air conditioning." At this point I was irritated and honestly felt very disrespected, but I kept my composure since I was doing this on behalf of a friend. When they saw the dog, they started acting strange and commenting that he didn't look like the photo. Another woman came over and asked his name, what services he was supposed to receive, and requested proof of rabies vaccination, which I sent via text as instructed. Overall, my experience here was unwelcoming, uncomfortable, and honestly, disgusting. I don't know if the treatment I received had anything to do with my appearance or race, but I couldn't shake the feeling that I wasn't being treated with the same respect as others might have been. The woman with the dark hair in a ponytail was especially rude and needs a serious attitude adjustment. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was astounding. No one should be treated this way, pet owner or not.

My dog when I picked her up was not properly groomed plus around her eyes were not cleaned. I decided to try The Paw Spa and and so glad I did. The staff is very caring and did a 5 star grooming on my little Ripley. Plus, the prices are great!

I have been taking my Yorkie fur baby, Tucker to Hair of the Dog since 2017. They have done an…read moreexcellent job each and every time. It also goes without saying, how accommodating and polite they are. I'm not always the best with keeping up with his grooming visits, so when my Tucker doesn't see people regularly, he generally is a nervous little guy. When we go in to the shop, he is not never scared nor is he shaking or anxious when I pick him up. He's happy and smells so good. I won't use anyone else (unless they decide to close shop). I highly recommend Hair of the Dog! You and your pup will not regret it.

The staff is wonderful with our fur babies. Dr. Michael Brown is phenomenal! Our boxers had ACL surgery on both his hind legs, both were a huge success. He walks perfectly, you'd never know he had surgery. They do a wonderful job prescribing the perfect medication to help our 13 year old border collie's arthritis. The new facility is spacious and inviting. I love the bathroom wallpaper -- nice touch! The rooms are simple and clean, which I personally like. Both the vets and techs take their time with you, I've never felt rushed.

We've had to bring our dog here a few times after moving to Savannah. They are very helpful and offer military discount. They carry the food he requires also, which is a plus. The hours are my only complaint, I'm sure they have a reason for it but coming from an old animal hospital that opened from 8-8pm the hours here are hard to get used to. I've had issues with my dog after 5 and have had to wait until the next morning for answers. Final Verdict: we do continue to use them as they get the job done.
