We've been with Bree since before she even opened The Altered Dog, and she has been nothing short of amazing with every single one of our dogs over the years. She started with our sweet Daisy (who has since passed from old age), and the gentleness and patience she showed her set the bar impossibly high for any groomer to follow. She's also worked with Romeo -- our grumpy old man -- and somehow manages to get him looking sharp without stressing him out. Chloe, who is even older, has always been treated with the same level of care and respect. And Bella, who we lost last year, adored her spa days with Bree. Those memories mean a lot to us. Even though our dogs are short‑haired, we always choose the full spa treatment because Bree makes them look, feel, and smell incredible every time. She understands each dog's personality, their limits, and what makes them comfortable. Now we've added Great Danes to the mix, and they had their very first nail trim with Bree this past weekend. She handled those giant baby feet like a pro -- calm, confident, and patient. They walked out happy, not stressed, which says everything. I highly recommend The Altered Dog. Cashier made a snarky comment about our purchase and acted like she was better than us because she didn't agree with our purchase and our choice of methods in training our puppy. Not her place at all to display any kind of judgment about OUR choices. I guess tolerance and acceptance only goes one way? VERY unhappy customer. read more

We originally came to Kingman for the Petco, but the service there had us walk down to the petsmart instead. We were able to find what we were looking for and the employees were present, prompt, and kind. read more

They do such a great job grooming and very nice to the pets. My dog can be a bit of a brat and they still know how to deal with him. All the girls there are great stylist. read more

Great store and it is clean. Needed some dog bowls for my pup. The old water bowl had some cracks and damaged edges. Did not want my doggie getting a cut tongue. With water, the bottom of the dish needs to be glazed. Checked out a few bowls in the shop. Got one that looked like it could meet the challenge. At check out, told the young man what I wanted and needed. Did not want the ceramic bowl leaking all over the kitchen. He was great. Told me if not satisfied, just return the bowl. Polite, knew his product and was accommodating. Just the type of person you want as a customer service rep. You can trust this Pet Co for your needs. read more

Love this Petsmart! Wish this staff worked at the Bullhead City one so that the nice cashiers would be closer to me. Everyone here is all smiles, very helpful. I wish I looked at his name tag, but there was one young man that helped me with an exchange that I'd like to commend. I thought I heard his co-worker call him Carlos, but don't quote me on that name. I'll have to look for him next time I go and update... All in all a very pleasant place to shop. Took my 6 month old gsd to be groomed here. It was her first time so I was a little nervous about how she would do. Heather and all of the staff were so friendly and helpful! We took our Border Collie to be groomed at the PetSmart Grooming salon in Kingman Arizona. We asked that her coat be just be trimmed up a little bit and her flags trimmed, not buzzed. The girl was very rude and arrogant and acted like a know it all, when we explained what we would like done.This girl needs more training in customer service and grooming and or find another profession. When we picked our Border Collie up from her appointment, this girl had shaved off all of her fur and had left the grooming salon before we arrived to pick up our dog. We spoke with the manager at PetSmart and she refunded our money, which will not help put back the fur on our Border Collie. She looks like an over grown Chihuahua. Now we have to be very careful when we take her outside so that she does not get sun burned and she's very depressed. We are extremely disgusted and disappointed with PetSmart grooming salon. We will be writing the CEO of PetSmart Michael J. Massey a letter regarding this. read more
