We've been customers of this specific location for awhile. No complaints whatsoever. Store staff friendly, helpful and kind. Banfield Pet Hospital very convenient and employees there caring and compassionate. Prices are very fair and you can purchase lifetime care options Haven't tried the other services like grooming or day care but it's very conveniently located and everyone seems to be animal lovers and the pets around the store and visiting seem to be quite happy. read more

I just had the most demoralizing experience from a cashier named Becca at PetSmart, Lady Lake, FL and it ruined my day. What added insult to injury was that when Terry, the store manage came over and saw how rude she was being he never even asked me what happened. He did manage to squeeze the word sorry out as I was leaving but I didn't detect any genuine concern about how bad and traumatized I felt from being disrespected when I said this is something worth writing about on Yelp. If you're wondering why I didn't leave and go somewhere else it was because I was paying for a prescription for my daughter's sick dog. It was like a verbal slap in the face when Becca told me to shut my mouth when I was seeking her assistance simply because I wasn't able to type my phone number into the device that takes payments as the screen wasn't set for data to be entered. Then she abruptly refused to wait on me and went to another cash register and proceeded to ask customers if she could help them instead of me. When Terry came over she continued to berate me in front of him and customers to which I didn't botehr trying to defenc myself. I mentioned to Terry that she told me to shut up and she responded by calling me a liar at which point he asked her to leave the cash register. I hope David K. Lenhardt the company's CEO has a person on his management team who can do an intervention and properly staff this PetSmart store so that the bad apples can rot somewhere else. Once upon a time a customer was not only treated with respect but when something happened, management would go the extra mile to make sure the customer had some level of satisfaction before they left the premises. My dog eats a certain type of prescription food .the shelves were empty all the stock was in back but was told for at least 72 they could not restock shelves because of inventory .you would think they would stock shelves before inventory.I asked what is my dog supposed to do for food .was told we can't sell it .Banfield there is good but won't do anymore business with pet smart read more

I was told I needed to have my dog bathed in a special shampoo and conditioner ( over $20) or pay extra for the groomers time to comb out her ears. Well she shaved her ears and THEN gave her a bath- obviously the special shampoo and conditioner were NOT necessary. Be careful as they push extra charges on you!!! Won't go back! read more

Not to mention the groomers are severely undertrained, condescending and super unprofessional. One lady actually rolled her eyes at me when I told her how I wanted my dog's hair cut! I was told a cleaning for my dogs teeth would be between $300.00 and $400.00 without a dental plan and on the morning I was dropping my pet off I was told$669.00. I repeatedly told both the vet and the tech who took care of my dog when asked if I wanted to clean my pups teeth if I was using a wellness plan and told them no and was still told 300 to 400 to clean teeth. what a shock and I cancelled the appointment. they have no clue about anything. read more

I took my 13 year Old English Sheepdog to be groomed. She was a shelter dog and Petsmart gave a coupon booklet for 50% off grooming. The groomer said my dog had dry skin and wanted to give a different shampoo treatment for dry skin, not included in the 50 percent off. She never said the price, which was as much as the grooming. Very unprofessional and underhanded. Because my dog was elderly and has some hip issues from sitting or lying too long and the groomer couldn't take on a few other dogs in the time slot, she told me not to bring her back again. She was not a good fit for their salon. She was on her best behavior, loves everyone, but don't bring her back. Between the lack of sharing the large, added price and don't bring her back, I'd never bring any of my dogs back there. Talk about a slap in the face from this female groomer. No other privately owned grooming salons has ever discriminated against her because of her age or her arthritis. read more

My dogs were at this location for 4 hours to ( with appointments for both ) be be groomed. The staff was curt and disinterested in my questions. I asked to be called when they were finished, that did not happen. The salon was full of dog hair with dogs on grooming tables unattended. One of my dogs grooming looked ok the other one was groomed terribly. They apparently were not taken out or given water during this period. I was told if I wanted express service (1 1/2 hours) I need to book it that way. This was my first and last trip to PetSmart! read more

I wanted to express an issue I encountered yesertday @ store#1683. I scheduled a "grooming" for my German shepherd, Haans. The appointment was set for 12:30. I was able to bring Haans in an hour earlier than the scheduled appointment due to extra time I had available. I called petsmart in The villages, FL and asked if it was alright if I brought him in at 11:30. I was told that I could drop him off however the groomer was at lunch. I proceeded to let the person I spoke with know that Haans was able to see someone else if they had the time availability free. When I arrived I walked Haans over to the grooming department. I went over the appointment with the designated groomer at that time. The groomer let me know that she would need to add an additional hour to the visit. The groomer also let me know that the charges would be different as well (more in price) and that she already has another large dog that she was going to groom as well. I agreed to the charges and the time frame due to the fact this was the only time I had available and I needed to have a shampoo and cut done for Haans. I called the grooming department @ 3:19 PM to receive a time of completion. I was then transferred to the groomer assisting myself and who had been grooming Haans. The groomer let me know that she should have him ready in 30 minutes. I had no problem with this as I was still out doing some shopping in the area. I received a call @ 3:42 PM letting me know that Haans has anxiety and had major diharea at that time and they would need to stop the appointment. I was around the corner at a local store and came over to pick him up. I entered the grooming department where I found Haans to be in distress. I was informed that I would receive a discount of $14 due to the fact they were not able to finish the grooming. I was told I could bring him back Friday. I spoke to whom I believe to be a manager and let her know I would not be in the area. She explained to me that the anxiety issue was most likely due to coming into a new store......... I completely DISAGREE! I have taken Haans to 2 other locations in the Jacksonville/Jacksonville beach area where I have NEVER encountered a problem. I personally believe the problem to be due to overbooking in the grooming department! I would have much rather been told "I'm sorry we are overbooked today and will not be able to see Haans at this time". I have brought home a dog who has a haircut that is half done....I have paid an amount of money that I personally feel to be rediculous! I understand why the grooming could not be completed however I do not understand paying for a service that WAS NOT FINISHED! This entire situation has made me come to the understanding that I will NEVER bring my dog to this location, and I am now reconsidering taking Haans to any pet smart! In my opinion this is not the definition on good customer service and I am completely irritated and unhappy with the outcome! read more

The groomer first did an excellent job on my Min. Schnauzer. The next trip back, they kept him for 3 hours and then called me to come and get him. They said he yelped and freaked out and wouldn't let the groomer work on him. I wish he could talk and tell me what happened. He's 12 and has never had this sort of experience. read more

I took my dog in today to the groomer to get a hair cut and bath. A few hours later, someone from the grooming department called me and told me they had to take my dog over to the hospital that is in the store because while they were cleaning the hair out of her ears, she shook her head so hard that she caused hematomas to form in her ears. When we got there, the vet told us that she does not have hematomas, but that she got cut while they were shaving the tips of her ears. The groomer did not do what we asked at all and shaved her almost completely bald, and she is uneven everywhere. The manager did not make us pay for the grooming service or the vet visit, but I don't feel that their employees, who are not licensed vets, should be calling pet owners and misdiagnosing them or not even telling the owner what really happened. We are not happy with what happened today at all and will not be going back to Petsmart for Stella's needs. read more
