One of the best things about PetSmart is that dogs are allowed. My two cute dogs sometimes like to go to the store. However, I would never buy most of the things for sale at PetSmart. Let's consider: Dog food: Overpriced. Today a customer in front of me paid way too much for a bag of Science Diet, which is garbage. Costco's Kirkland brand is higher quality and much cheaper. They even have grain-free varieties at Costco for a very reasonable price. Dog treats: CRAZY overpriced. Cheaper to make my own or make a trip to Trader Joe's. Dog toys: Freakin' expensive. Why pay $16 for a toy my dog is going to tear apart in less than a week? There are some durable toys available (I recommend the Kong treat dispensing toy), but they're few and far between. Well-made toys are definitely worth the money. PetSmart has a clearance section I visit when looking to replenish our toy supply, and I've found some real treasures there. Petsmart is a good place for new pet owners to stock up on supplies while they're becoming oriented to pet ownership. PetSmart has an adequate selection of collars, bowls, poop bags, and kennels. I'd skip the ID tags and find something cuter, cheaper, and better made on Etsy, but PetSmart is capable of supplying these as well. Today I was there to purchase some rubber Chuck-It balls, and my experience was good until I got to the cash register. When the system prompted me to enter my personal information for a Pet Perks card, I told the cashier I would rather not, but he made me anyway. Thanks, buddy. For the first few visits my sweet, somewhat timid trained service dog seemed fine and was well washed, although not necessisarily completely dry. She is a great pyrenees and has a long, double coat. Then she became much more reluctant to enter the area around the groomers. On her last visit I saw one person hauling on her leash and another shoving her from behind to get her in. I was too far away for my voice to be heard, but that was her last visit. No dog should be treated like that. A little time and patience is more likely to work with a reluctant dog, unless what ever had been done behind closed doors was too terrifying for her. My trained service dog could handle almost anything she might encounter, including emergency vehicles, along with firemen in full gear. Poor service and not honoring appointments. I set appointments for cat nail trim/grooming a week ahead. Called an hour before and advised that had to move appointment from 2pm to 6pm, no other accommodation offered. Advised they have too many dogs present to tend to my cats. Since I own a dog, I explained this would not be an issue, but I was told they could not do the appointments as scheduled. I asked if 6pm was a cat only period. Answer NO but we are sure there will be less so it would not be an issue. read more

I have been taking my loveable Golden Retrievers to Pet Smart since they were puppies and before that we had groomed our Bernese Mountain Dogs there, so it has been a long and trusted experience. I took our 11 yr. old Golden and Marissa decided that he was slipping too much on their tile floors in the entryway. She got the manager who was snotty and refused service because he was a "liability". Never mind that he was not a "liability" last month or the many months before that. The snotty manager told me I could come back when they weren't so busy but they do not offer the early morning appointments anymore and 9:00 AM is the earliest you can take in a dog. We have stood by Pet Smart through many groomers and managerial changes. I will not tolerate this kind of nastiness which was totally unfounded on their part. I can speak with my wallet and generous tips and go elsewhere for products and services. read more

My dog was recently spayed and wore a surgical suit so she wouldn't lick her incision. She is a poodle mix and during those weeks of healing, her hair matted SO bad. She literally had mats all over her body. I tried brushing them out, but it was useless. I brought her into the grooming salon at this location and had such a great experience! Shaylee was our groomer and she was seriously the best! I was so nervous to bring my dog because I was embarrassed and sad knowing she'd have to be cut really short, but Shaylee was so kind and reassuring! She also worked very hard to keep her fluffy ears and tail. My dog is definitely not her usual fluffy self, but she still looks very cute in my opinion! read more

This is a pretty good PetSmart. But they are very stingy with the fish. You gotta know your fish stuff to buy a fish from them.

We have our large Great Dane bathed and nails clipped. They are so patient with her and she loves to go. The prices can't be beat!

Only great things to say about the PetSmart in Logan UT! The staff are all courteous and friendly. They go above and beyond with anything you need and have great customer service! Kathy was extremely helpful and nice to me when I had a bird issue I needed help with! One suggestion is just to make sure more things are labeled ... a lot of the bird products I had to take to the register to ask the price. read more

Seriously the worst customer customer service I've experienced. They do not care whatsoever about making anything right or being apologetic in anyway when something is wrong. Their solution is to blame "corporate" and the customer. If I spend my money somewhere, I expect at least marginal customer service, they aren't capable of even providing that. Their store is a mess, nothing is marked properly, and it's a surprise how much you're actually paying for something. And when they mark things incorrectly, they'd rather argue with you about it than fix the actual problem. I can find plenty of other places to spend my money and I will. read more

I booked a grooming appointment and specifically talked about breed and exact age over the phone. They gladly made my appointment. However when I got there with my German Shepherd puppy they wouldn't take him. Whoever booked the appointment apparently didn't know their rules.. but then why are they scheduling appointments? Doesn't put them out, however I drove an hour round trip to get there. I could have been saved the hassle if their employees knew their own policy. read more

Worst experience ever in a store, went with my grandson to buy a small gold fish his first. We asked the employee and she said unless we had an aquarium larger than 20 gallons she would not sell us any fish! She was abrupt and unapologetic - We walked out stunned and my grandson was in tears. So unless you have a large aquarium PetSmart policy is not to sell you any fish not even a feeder gold fish! Moved here 3 months ago and purchased a 55 gallon tank along with al the necessary items(start up,rocks,heater,lights,fake trees)they did not have a stand so had to drive 1 hr 15 min to another store for it.Started tank and went back to get fish we picked out some fish and noticed one tank said do not sell I asked the girl helping us and she said they have ich I said the water flows to all the tanks her response"your fish are fine we have a 3 million dollar filter system doubt it was 3 million but ok.one week later fish have ich go back and spend $25 dollars for medicine all but one fish die.go back and they credit me for fish but not medicine.Move last fish to small tank and clean 55 gallon,restart and run for 7 days all tests good and ready to start again.Go back to store and wait 30 min buy fish area with no one around Two other customers getting very impatient so I go to front 15 people in line,I wait to talk to kid at register(rude with an attitude)he tells me to just wait because they only have three people running the store.5 o'clock on a Friday night and this big store has 3 people working and one was on the phone in an office so unable to speak to her.This is the only place that sells fish in Logan Utah and it's very disappointing almost $700.00 spent there and was treated very bad.Things happen fish get sick but poor customer service there is no excuse! read more

Just walked out of PetsMart in Logan Ut. I just bought a large puppy Kong. Their online store had a price of $11.99. In store it was $13.99. They had some freeze dried treats on a clearance rack specifying the name of the treat and the savings with a price of $4.47. It rang up at $8.99. So I asked about it. The gal said, we'll that's what it rung up as. I asked about the difference between online and in store price and if there is always a difference. She said yep the prices are different, even though I could have the item at the online price and actually delivered to my home by DoorDash the same day!!!. The only reason I give them 2 stars is they had items in stock I couldn't find elsewhere in town. Next time I'll order and have it delivered! read more

This Petsmart is terrible. They sell bearded dragons and then dont have enough crickets to feed the animals they have sold. They also sell wax worms but 70% of the 50 in the container are dead. There are a few people who work here that are absolutely wonderful but other people that work there do not care about animals or animal lovers. I feel that we need another pet store in Logan. J's pets is a much better petstore with better customer service. read more

worst pet store in the world. ive had problems with them before, and they were not apologetic but today takes the cake. i've noticed them abusing the fish. the fish are held in tanks with dead fish floating at the top. that's incredibly dangerous to every single live fish in the store bc the water filters through multiple at a time. but the employees don't care. and when i have a fish die within the refund period (has happened twice to me here but nowhere else in the 6 years i've kept fish) they don't even give condolences over the dead pet theybgave me. they just roll their eyes and offer a half assed replacement. it's disgusting. read more

Over the past year or so this store has really gone down hill. We do not spend hardly any money in this store anymore. We've found Amazon and Chew.com to be more economical. And more importantly, we don't have to deal with the rude and ever changing personnel at Petsmart. The one draw that kept us coming in this store was there grooming salon. Well, from December 2017 to April 2018 we received three really poor grooms in a row. The last groom our little Sheltie came home in a funky mood like she had been mistreated. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. We've moved on. We have found a new groomer we are thrilled with and several online sources for our pet needs. Too bad this store doesn't have any competition in the Cache Valley area. Our area needs at least one full-service pet store. I guess the only other thing I might mention is we have fish, birds and a dog and we are surviving nicely since we've quit going to this store. If you're a pet owner know there are other options out there that will more than meet your pet's needs. You don't need to put yourself or your pet through the trauma of patronizing this store. read more

Very disappointed in my local Petsmart here in Logan, UT, specifically the groomers. My wife and I went in to get our dog's nails trimmed, as we have numerous tomes before. I waited in line for nearly 10 minutes, the first in line, and standing at the counter. Meanwhile several grooming department workers walked in and out without even looking my way, not even to say, "We'll be right with you", which will usually "buy" you another 5 mintes of me waiting patiently. A few more people filled in line after me, so now there are 4 people in line, and not a single groomer in sight willing to even acknowledge customers waiting. Eventually a single worker came out and asked what I needed. I told her and she said, "you'll have to wait, he was here before you", as she motioned to a guy at the END of the line! By this point I was so frustrated with thre service I decided to let my money speak for me, and we went to Stylin' Pets. Not only were they happy to have our business, they were 33% less expensive, did a better job, and were much nicer than Petsmart. Sorry Petsmart, but your grooming department lost you a loyal customer. read more

THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST PETSMART I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. The customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE. I just moved to Logan and was a regular at my previous petsmart. I was in there every week getting crickets for my bearded dragon and all the associates were very personable and new me on a first name basis. At this particular Logan petsmart, they do not take the time nor do they care to get to know their customers. No greeting when you come in and hardly any associates around to help you. I wait here every time for about ten minutes for service then finally I have to go up to the front to ask the cashier to send someone over there over the intercom ( as if they don't already know to do that.) Then I wait some more finally having to hunt down an associate myself because no one ever comes. I have owned reptiles and fish for years and none of the associates are knowledgeable in the departments they are working I always find myself having to correct them on their facts and advice on the animals care which is extremely unprofessional for a customer to school you on your own job. As I said I am a regular but don't feel like I am because I am never asked how I am doing or what my name is after being in there every week, there are different associates every time I go in there because I am assuming nobody wants to work under that kind of poor management. Today was the last straw after being a faithful regular, I will no longer be giving this petsmart my business. Do not come to this store. read more

Their customer interaction has greatly improved. Everyone is very friendly and helpful now. I would give their customer service 5 stars . The reason I lowered the rating is it seems they do not carry much for supplies for the pets other than cats and dogs. I think the price of their dog and cat food is on the high side. they are so horrible and rude. our dog got groomed there which was done okay but when we got the bill we couldn't quite understand it because it was itemized and it had double charges on a couple things and they said that two groomers worked on our dog.. then we said we wouldn't pay for two groomers, or the same thing done twice at the same time. so they banned us from the store, said they refused Abby service to us. then a few months passed and i needed an emergency service for my dog and we have no other option or competition in Logan. they finally let us go back and then we said we wanted to know the charges before have so there was no confusion and they yelled at us and said we always want to cause problems and if we can't afford it go elsewhere. we have talked to managers, all of them, and several groomers and they all told us they don't need us as customers because there are always other people coming in the door. honestly we just wanted to understand, we work hard for our money and i was treated like a criminal. horrible service, horrible customer care and i was embarrassed and humiliated. read more
