I have been bringing my Golden Doodle there for grooming for about a year. One time they shaved him down due to matting and wanted to do same today. He didn't feel matted to me so I brought him to another place where they looked at him and I set appointment. They couldn't believe you wanted to shave him down for minor matting. You are both overpriced and want to take the easy way out and shave a dog when not needed. read more

I have a soft coated wheaten terrier and she gets matted easily. I know how difficult it can be to comb her out after a bath and groom her. Katie at Mentor Petsmart did an outstanding job with my dog Honey. She looks fantastic. She was also very happy when I picked her up. I love the grooming salon there. We've been taking our dog to PetSmart's grooming for about a yr till today. We dropped off our dog today 3hrs had gone by and no contact from them at all. Witch has never happened till today. The groomer we had was JEN B I highly Recommend Not using her. When we got to the store to see what was going on she got all pissy with us and then informed us she didn't do her nails because she was so busy. She had double booked herself apparently. The fish department is terrible. There is never anyone back there to assist you. The tanks are either empty, dirty, or filled with dead fish. I've had terrible luck with the fish, frogs, and shrimp from there. It's not me, my fish from Pet Supplies Plus are all happy and healthy. This store used to be great, i dont know if management changed or what, but it's gone down hill from when I was a kid. read more

My 6 month old pup was taken here for a grooming appointment this past Monday. She was in there for four hours and came out terrified and skiddish to anything remotely grooming. Can hardly brush her now. Also! After four hours her cut wasn't even done!! Only two legs were done, tail hadnt even been toinched, had one section of head cut straight down the middle. She's clearly been knicked by the shaver a few times on the legs. Oh, and to top it all off? I was told she "fell off the table" some how during her appointment. How does that happen?! I refuse to ever bring her back to this location. I've NEVER had such a problem with a groomer before. Poor this is terrified of anything that buzzes now. they also refused treats to be used during grooming to help distract her from being too curious during the appointment. read more

i booked my dog a hair cut appointment at 9:30 in the morning thinking they would work on him right away, one because there was no other dog there in sight and two i made an early appointment so he could be done early. 3 hours later we heard nothing so we decided to go to the store to see what the problem was. They told us it usually takes 4 hours for a dog our size. Now my dog is a 11 pound Bichon. We have booked appointment here before and he was done within two hours. After that we called again to see why it was 4 hours for such a little dog. they lied and lied saying that it's how they did it and they do it in order. now my dog was the first one there and they were working on 4 other dogs at the time. After we complained and said we were coming back to get him they ran in the back and started to cut him the second we got there. My father said he refused to pay for it or better give a discount for the lies, they said yes and it was over and done with. After that my 13 year old sister went to pick him up on the recipe it said 50% off when my little sister went up there to pay they were stressing her out and yelling at her that she doesn't get when it clearly said 50% off. My sister told them she was only 13 years old and she was stressed and crying because they were yelling at her, they tossed her around to go to the back and to the front of the store to figure it out herself when there are employees to do that. When she said she was only 13 they looked at her dead in the eyes and said "we don't care". this store is so disgusting for the way they handled everything and how they spoke to my sister. if i was you i would never ever take my dog there ever again read more

I took my Great Pyrenees in to get shaved down for the summer at first I was nervous about dropping her off but she needed groomed badly from this harsh winter we had. Jorge was her groomer and I could not be happier with the services he provided for bella. Bella looks like a brand new dog! I did spend more money and got the top paw package I drove from Ashtabula to mentor because of her size many groomers around here would not take the time to groom her but pet smart in mentor welcomed her with open arms which put me more at ease leaving her with Jorge . Hands down I will be returning to pet smart for her grooming needs. Thank you so much Jorge!!!! She loves her cut. You truly know what your doing and I can tell you love your job. I got my cat from here. They bring in cats from one of the local animal shelters which I find very nice. She had a bald spot on her back and didn't tell me what it was. When I showed her to one of my friends she told me that the cat has fleas. That's my only complaint. read more

I take my dood to the grooming salon there. I'm usually calling last minute because my schedule is kind-of crazy so I've had several different groomers take care of Finn. They are all so friendly!! The store is like any other pet store chain, but Petsmart in Mentor has the best grooming department! The girls in the grooming department make my dogs feel relaxed and take their time with them. I highly recommend Petsmart of Mentor's grooming department! :) read more

I love my dog more than I love most people, as any dog lover can relate. Her name is Roxy and she is a Maltese/Shih Tzu. We took her in to get groomed and she was cut on her paw. Why her paw was cut makes NO sense since we PAY EXTRA to have her nails grinded not cut. Luckily my gf picked her up and not me because I would have absolutely lost it on these people and would have went for a paw for paw type revenge. But I have settled down slightly and would never do that to a person, hopefully. The guy made a mistake and sh*t happens but when my girl goes to pick up the dog, there was this blonde woman (who was a B to us on multiple occasions) and she completely acted like it was no big deal. The dogs paw and my gf were covered in blood. It was just gushing everywhere. Thankfully there was an old shirt in the car to wrap her paw with as she was rushed to the vet to have her tiny paw cauterized in two spots since they cut her twice. Cost us $80 at the Vet. I will never return to this Petsmart or any Petsmart ever again out of mere principle. Thanks for reading my review. BEWARE OF PETSMART! read more
