I went in just a few more minutes before closing to purchase a beta fish and a few other things. The lady working was rude the second it turned 7 and told us we needed to leave the store because they were closed. I asked if i could just get one more thing she stated that they were closed and we had to leave. read more

Called Petsmart and they are still taking in donations of pet items for Ruff Start Rescue. 5 stars for doing this and im dropping off items today 11/11/2022 for a early Christmas Gift of cat treats, tp, and cleaning supplies. Great job that they also do PET ADOPTION days there also ,and feature cats for adoption at times. 5 STARS! Always clerks happy to answer questions too. read more

I made an appointment by phone 2 weeks out to have an in-between grooming trim for face and paws. This was a service recommended by the PetSmart Groomer. My dog has anxiety, so we administered a PetSmart and Vet approved tranquilizer before the appointment, drove to the Monticello Community at some distance and arrived on time. 1. I was not allowed in the grooming studio and stood waiting for a turn in because PetSmart's policy is to only allow one family at a time in the grooming area. At the time I had no way of knowing the pet in front of us was a walk-in. I waited 15 minutes and watched the groomer call the dog's Vet., proceed to fill out the paperwork, place the dog on the table to trim feet. The two people with the dog sat on the floor playing on their phones... preventing me from entering the studio. 2. I stuck my head in the door finally and explained I was waiting now 15 minutes to drop off my dog for the appointment. The girl told me it wasn't really an appointment. What? She said it was the same as a walk-in. She told me I had to wait in the store for the entire service and had to wait my turn. 3. I told the groomer I had an appointment, was on time, and could not wait in-store because I had to pick up a child at a lesson. She didn't care...and told me to come back later. I was considered as a walk-in and she waived me off. People need to have trust in their groomers. Our dogs are family members. I took the time to make a verbal agreement with the store for an appointment and do not appreciate being waved off. I have taken my animals to this groomer for 8 year and do not appreciate the wave-off. Finally, I medicated my animal for this service and it was now unnecessary since we could not get the service that PetSmart promised. Words cannot express how your employee made us feel. read more

Met a customer on our way out the door with the same breed our family just got. We got to talking, standing aside and out of the way - in no way obstructing traffic. Actually, someone came through with a flatbed cart with no problem. During our conversation this customer told me about the training classes they had at the store and started to tell me about a nearby cremation place, since I mentioned my elderly dog and was new to the area. Suddenly a pissed off, rude employee stepped up to us and says "WHY ARE YOU STANDING HERE?!?" My kids were shocked and scared. We explained how we got to talking over having the same breed. She continues to treat us all like some kind of troublemakers yelling "well you're blocking the door!" Which we were not. I guess it was a lesson to my kids - don't spend your money at a place that treats you like that. The cashier with the ponytail was nice, but the younger girl with the black mullet was beyond rude. read more

This is a great store, they have good service and a wide selection of stuff for your animals. Lots of little critters to buy, fish, cats, frogs, geckos, and more. Love the store and they have a good return policy. read more

I called before leaving my house, asking if they had any rats--I was told yes. I left St.Cloud to go to Monticello, just to find out they didn't have any rats and couldn't figure out who I talked to over the phone. read more

Shay groomed our yorkie and did a super great job. He was trimmed perfect. And his face was so much better he could actually see. Would definitely recommend her and will b going back to her for sure!! read more

I am an animal lover and my trip to the Monticello Petsmart left me fuming long after I'd left. The staff was rude; they belittled my little brother for not understanding exactly what kind of food his new pet needed (mind you he was asking them for help picking it out anyways). The person who looked like they were in charge also made several comments that made it sound like they didn't care well the animals were kept in the store. The only positive experience I had was being helped by the cashier up front because she seemed like a decent person and the fact that they had temporary setups for shelter animals to help them get adopted. I will defiantly not be supporting the Monticello Petsmart again, and would caution others who are thinking about going there. read more

I went to the Monticello store for the first time today and was not impressed with their service. There were hardly any customers in the store, yet the girls who worked there sat around and chatted with one another the entire time I was there. I had to go to them to ask questions and get service. The only person who did their job was one of the cashiers. She was helpful, friendly, and answered any questions I had. As for the rest of the workers......they are probably still standing around blabbing and not waiting on the customers. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. We have been to petsmart to have our Malamute groomed several times, however each time they did not even do half of the things that were supposed to be included in the package we paid for. But this time they have gone way too far: We had an appointment today to get both of our dogs groomed, as we wanted to have them looking nice for our engagement pictures tomorrow. Well, they just called an hour before our appointment to tell us that they were short staffed and they had to cancel our appointment. I was livid. We can't just reschedule our engagement pictures. They did not offer us any help after knowing our situation. All they said was that there were several self dog washing stations in the area. Yeah and none are open today. We called back not too long ago and after asking for the manager at least 5 times and being passed to 3 different people they finally pulled enough of their brains together to get me to the correct person. We talked to the store manager asking if they could call the other people that still got their appointments for today to let them know our situation and see if anyone was willing to help us out and reschedule so we could still get in. He said there was nothing they could do and that was that. They were not even willing to try to help us. What horrible customer service! Then, when I asked what corporate would think of their customer service, he actually HUNG UP ON ME!!!! Unbelievable that this location is still even in business after all the horrible experiences we have had there on top of all the horror stories I have heard from others experiences. We will never be stepping foot in a Petsmart ever again, especially the Monticello location!!!! read more

Took my dogs to the groomer on Friday and when I picked them up they charged me $15 more than expected for one of the dogs, no report on how they were, and my little dog didn't look right. I took them home and over the weekend the littlest one would wake up screaming and yelping, then limp around. By Monday, it was so awful I had to take her to the vet for pain meds. Tuesday it was even worse and the vet prescribed even more pain medication. My dog was hobbling around with her head tilted to one side and her front paw up like her neck and shoulder hurt. My husband went to the Monticello PetSmart to inquire if anything happened at the grooming appointment since we never received any feedback that day and they said no. Today, the pain meds are kicking in and she is finally a bit more comfortable, but I'm sure something happened at the grooming and PetSmart does not intend to address the issue or follow up with us. read more

Took my Cat Lucy to the groomers at Pet Smart in Monticello. They did an outstanding job with the Lions Cut to make her look wonderful. The cashier was also very kind to assist with the check out. I would recommend to anyone with grooming needs. read more
