I got a text notification that I should look at the website and was bummed but also glad for clear direction. I went there, saw a 1 day puppy training course and texted to sign up. I got an automated reply saying she was out of town starting that next morning and for the weekend. On a whim and because I was desperate (think newborn baby and no sleep and panic...that's how I was feeling), I texted back a question. Guess what!!!! She replied! At what was now 11 pm, she sent me resources, encouragement and wisdom! And she assured me she'd get me in as soon as she was home!!! I was (and am) BEYOND impressed by her care for me, the puppy and excellent customer service!!! I got her name with glowing recommendations from my friend Amy and now I'll add mine!!! Even though I realized it's not the right time for a puppy in my home, I will 100% use Julie at Scotch Pines when I DO get a dog and I will recommend her every opportunity I get!!!! Go there! I had to ask 4 times before i finally got copies of my dog and cats bloodwork and xrays. No communication. Dont answer phone, texts or email. So ya, I became irritated and rude. Give me my overy priced test results for my pets. $2500 to remove a tooth. Could never get a straight answer on anything i asked when they said my cat had diabetes. As soon as i said i was going to get a second opinion, vet told me i couldnt go back because i was disrespectful. Ya, im dealing with my 2 pets health, im gonna demand better treatment. And what about the respect i was given? Talking over me, charging incorrectly, not giving me the test results. Told i couldn't even go back even if my pet was bleeding to death. Stay far away from these people. If you take their advice and don't question them, and of course, can afford their outrageous pricing, you'll be fine. But if you dare question or complain about their rude staff or ask for test results, you'll be banned. As the vet personally told me herself, there are many other veterinarians in the area. Animals seem to be treated well and frequently adopted…read more Facilities seem pretty nice for a shelter. They do not however actually seem to adhere to their own adoption policies. Contrary to the information on their site, and they convey over the phone, they do hold adoptable dogs and are not first come first serve when it comes to adoptions. They wasted my Saturday by telling me that they don't hold animals and that no appointment was needed or available for Saturday or to be told that the dog I wanted to adopt for the past week was on a "wait list" despite being listed as adoptable on their website. If a dog isn't adoptable take him off of the website. First come first serve and a wait list are two mutually exclusive concepts.
