Take your dog ANYWHERE other than this grooming salon. Seriously. We were greeted by a girl (unfortunately I did not get her name) who was clearly unsure of what she was doing. Even with taking our information and entering our request of a nail trim and grind seemed difficult for her, as she was receiving instruction on what to do from a girl who was attending to another dog. She was clearly being trained. I was initially concerned, but assumed she was not going to be the one to be taking care of my dog as she didn't even know the computer system. My first mistake. Our dog was taken in for his service, which he's had many times before at the Mayfaire location, we walked out and shopped around the store. After about 20 minutes and we had checked out, I was concerned that he was still in there. Normally he's in and out in 7-10 minutes at the other location. I started observing what was going on through the glass and was torn about what to do. He was clearly distraught... pulling his whole body away from her, tail tucked, ears back. Her reaction was to snatch his back paw and drag him towards her. After watching this go on for a few minutes, my concern escalated. How long had this been going on? The whole time I'd been away? Who did I trust my baby with? Torn whether I should intervene or not - knowing if I did, the service would be over, as Rocco seeing me would probably make it worse - I decided to let her finish. My second mistake. The two other girls working all gathered around her at one point about 5 minutes before finishing. I can only imagine why. She was clearly not capable of handling this service on her own, even though she was left to do so. My signal to pick him up, 30 minutes after service start, was her making eye contact with me through the glass. I walked in and unfortunately, that pit in my stomach turned out to be right. His nails were cut down to nubs. Even bleeding on one of them. The girl assured me they weren't too short. But when I mentioned blood, the girl who was training her came over and said "well, he's not actively bleeding anymore." As if that was supposed to be some kind of comfort? She told me that because there was blood, they were not going to charge me. No apology at all? She told me that they were training. But her method of training must be throw them to the wolves until something goes wrong. As that was the only time she was assisting her. Too busy with her own services to tend to. I responded with the fact that I should have been informed that my dog was going to be "trained" on. And he suffered for it. His nails are so incredibly short that they couldn't even grind them. So short that he bled. He was traumatized all day. Not his peppy, playful self. Curled up and sad. Any time he puts his paw on me, his nails scratch my skin so much from not being filed after being clipped down too much. And there's nothing I can do about it until they grow out. I am appalled by the lack of training and common sense that was in this grooming salon. A dog lets you know if there's an issue. The fact that you can pull on him and drag him across the table even after he's telling you something is wrong is disgusting. And this was just a nail trim! I can only imagine what kind of treatment these animals are receiving with other services here. I'm warning you, STAY AWAY.

Molded rocks

Bought fish pebbles for my aquarium of 16 fish. The pebbles were on clearance for $4 compared to between $6 $8. There is mold that constantly forms on these pebbles. No matter how I clean them. I recommend any pet stores. If you know that rocks are bad and will mold because of whatever chemicals on them, that you take them completely off the shelves! I now have 7 fish out of 16 that are alive still. Some of them have costed me over $40. I'm highly upset with this store!!

I love bringing my kids to petsmart and looking at all the animals! Today I came here with my family and there was a whole cockroach roaming around the store. I do know that this is a place that dogs, cats, and other animals come to roam around but this didn't seem like something that should be of the norm. I know it's not necessarily the employees fault but I would think someone should have seen this guy crawlin around.

I Highly recommend Rauf, if your searching for a talented, extremely knowledgeable, and personable…read moredog trainer. It was amazing how fast he gained respect from both of my dogs just after one lesson. Rauf, not only teaches you the proper techniques to connect with your pup, but most importantly teaches you how to be a strong pack leader in the eyes of your pack. This experience has taught me how to be a more confident leader in the eyes of my dogs. I would highly suggest Rauf to anyone looking to be a solid leader for your pack!!

We thought after 6 hour long sessions our dogs would be "trained" long after your help. Your education and knowledge shared with us changed our mindset. Because of you and your dedication to service we learned we had to acknowledge our behaviors that were unhealthy for our relationship with our dogs. Because of you we realized we were going about it all wrong and had to acknowledge that. We had to listen better and become more consistent in our interactions with our pets. We had to establish a new relationship with them that communicated to them that we are the Alphas in the home and any where they were with us. Ultimately, you showed us changes that we needed to make in us so that we could get our desired outcome with our pets. It was our responsibility to accept the change. Your insight into the behavior of K9s is unprecedented and your program is like no other we have researched. I WILL ALWAYS CONTINUE TO SPEAK HIGHLY IF YOU AND YOUR SERVICE! It is my opinion that those that do not get the results simply failed to practice the proven systems you have created. I am confident your contributions to the relationships with K9s and their owners far outweigh those that fail to use the system consistently. Thank you for giving us the tools and insight that has allowed our relationship with our four legged kids better than it has ever been. I rate your service

As a result of this I didn't have high expectations when sending her for the 2 week obedience off leash training. We met Tara while she was training a five month old German Shepherd at Topsail Island and we're very impressed with how well the dog was trained. I thought if Harley could only be half that good it would be amazing. Terra took Harley for two weeks and I knew she'd have her work cut out for her. She was definitely up to the challenge. We picked up Harley after the 2-week training and were blown away with how well trained she was. Don't get me wrong she's still very stubborn and it's going to still require continued work for the training to become part of Harleys normal routine given that she still so stubborn. I mean let's be realistic nobody's going to take your dog for two weeks and give it back to you perfectly obedient pet. But what Tara was able to do with Harley is astounding. To watch our 10 year old son have control over a 80lb Rottweiler puppy that used to jump on him and knock him down was amazing. To see her sit, stay, heel, lay down on command is the Wow factor we were hoping for. Thanks Tara for an amazing job! We will keep building on the foundation you have laid with Harley! Thanks to you she is now a great pet!

Each hour together provided an opportunity to help us understand how to be good masters and to teach Ted some new behaviors (and tricks). Our main goal was to increase our confidence in control of Ted while off leash (hence the name of the company) and to eliminate nuisance barking when people walk by our home. Since our lessons concluded we are able to relax in peace when people walk by (no excessive barking and no worry Ted will approach people to say "hello" as they walk by). If you want a more positive experience in pet ownership, give Jan a call and look forward to your "new" dog!
