So Petsmart normally would not be my first or even fourth choice for a groomer but life and the express option spoke to me well guess what I hit the jackpot honestly is it expensive for the groom yea but really $96 bucks and my baby was cleaned and perfect nails cut and grind done in 1 hour! So it's 20 for express and 10 for nail upgrade so honestly it would have been like 70 pretty standard! Groomer of choice is Jennifer she's groomed Lucy twice so far and both times it was just as my her regular groomer would do! Again Jennifer is who I recommend not saying others are bad just the only person I've personally used. I take reviews very serious especially when they are dealing with our Family. read more

This PetSmart is trying to get customers! My dog is a pure breed miniature poodle and they continue to put him down as a cockerpoo which he is not!! And I just called and they are telling me for my dog to get groomed is $105!!! What is going on? If I need to drive to Philly so my dog can get the same groom for $60. This is insane. The one groomer who groomed my female purebred miniature poodle the last time there did amazing. But I will not return for grooming here. Too expensive. Let me post a picture of my dogs and can anyone please tell me I don't know my dogs and their breed... this haircut below for the both only cost me about $120 for the both with teeth cleaning everything. I moved to Jersey trying to find a good affordable grooming but for them to tell me I don't know my dogs breed and put what they feel is very upsetting. I really liked the groomer Deana. She did a nice job on my princess before but this is ridiculous. And I will make sure everyone knows! They trying to scam people for more money. Beware people! I will never spend another dime in pet smart. I have been taking my dog there for the last yr n a half to get groomed. My dog is a little aggressive so she usually gets the last appointment of the night. This Wednesday I took her for her 7pm appointment, there w were 3 people there, 2 of then that had groomed my dog previously, and a new bather. Long story short​ they put a muzzle on her as needed which I agree with. After waiting 2 weeks for the appointment and dragging my dog out 7:00 at night the bather decides she doesn't feel safe bathing my dog. Neither one of the other who have worked with my dog in the past offered to help. The other female that was there only thing she kept saying was if you don't feel comfortable don't do it. They knew how my dog was they knew she was coming in however I feel they wanted to get out early. They had two dog appointments at 6:00 that were no show there was no reason that they could not have groomed my dog. And argument did stem because when I made the appointment they knew what it was already they're lazy and very unprofessional! read more

Been going here for almost 14 years. Every time we made an appointment for my dog was never an issue. THE ONE TIME I NEEDED TO GO IN FOR AN EMERGENCY "We cant help you, go to a hospital" No remorse, no sympathy. Just a slap in the face. my daughters dog needed a shot for allergies.. the appt was for 5:45 and she left work early to make it. when she got there they said they close at 6:00 & that they had left her a message to that effect and that the appt time was given by mistake. their mistake. they wouldn't give this poor baby his shot .. which would have taken 5 minutes.. & he had to wait 5 more days. this only one of many screw ups by them. glad o don't take my babies there And I'm trying to convince my daughter to switch... even if I have to pay for it!!! read more

I hate to be one of those people, but I am extremely dissatisfied with the service. Everytime I go in for crickets, I expect to be in here for at least an hour. It's ridiculous. There is usually one worker available - There is one short girl with piercings who is constantly there but consistently says "I wish I could help you, but I can't". I understand she wasn't clocked in; however, someone asked where the dog collars were and she said she couldn't answer because she was off the clock. It's not too hard just to simply say, "aisle four". Completely rude. Usually I get my crickets from Monster Pets, but Pet Smart is so much closer it is just more convenient. However, I guess I'll have to just take the time to go even further to get what I need. Bottom line is, if it were just about it taking long to get assistance, it would be one thing; but when it comes down to certain workers just being downright rude, I can't deal with that. read more

What is it with Petsmart groomers not wanting to work, this is the 4th consecutive 5pm appointment that has been canceled for an exaggerated tangle on my pet, I said ok ill pay the fee for the tangle, she then states a vet had to give her a cut, like seriously. Popped in here over the weekend to pick up something. Walked the entire store looking, finally I asked an employee where to find it. The item I wanted was kept locked up and he would assist me. He seemed to be aggravated while he was assisting me. Then I told him no thanks because the price was four times higher here then online. He was obviously upset and said something under his breath. I just kept walking out. Also, there was an adoption event of some sort going on here, which is cool. However it is NEVER OK to block the doors getting in and out. You should move these things to the back of the store. It's only a matter of time before this company will become part of the retail apocalypse if they don't change there ways..... read more

I have called today placed on hold by the Banfield veterinary department associated with petsmart. They do not answer the phone. I was placed on hold for 20 minutes and called back numerous times. Without an answer. I have no idea how to check on a new veterinary appointment for dog. The appointment time disappeared from my phone. Do not book pet training here. Was mass confusion and bad service from the start. Even just to get the trainer to call me back and schedule the appointment. And then when the appointment was scheduled, trainer was a no show. They called him and he was supposed to show up in ten minutes. Twenty minutes later... still no one showed up. Trainers are not equipped to work with difficult dogs. Training is the same for each dog, no matter what individual problems are Trainers are certified through pet smart. No real world experience. I saw a man sent away because his dog disrupted the class constantly. Find a personal trainer who individualizes the training g to meet your needs. I take my little chihuahua here every few months to get his nails cut and ears cleaned. He is not the easiest dog and we never make an appointment. They always take us right in and are very professional with how they handle him. They're always very quick and do a great job with him! Stock and employees are always good. As I write this, I'm holding in my arms a little miracle came to my life this past Christmas. His name is Pyukumuku, a baby boy Guinea Pig I brought home. I am the proud father to 5 beautiful, amazing, loving Guinea Pig boys (the new baby included) are the light to my eyes. Pyukumuku came to my life to fill in the immense void left by the loss of Bailey, my other baby boy was very sick since birth. Every day passes I fight against this total, enveloping sadness I feel because I lost my baby... You may be asking why is this rather large and emotional introduction relevant... Well, it is because it has a common denominator, animal cruelty. At PETSmart in Deptford the sell Guinea Pig baby boys year-round and the staff is only too happy to push them out of the door quickly so they can bring in more... In all, a very profitable piggy bank. When Bailey arrived home (January 2017) he was already infected with ringworm which had lodged itself on his right cheek. At home and with the incredible guidance from Collingswood Veterinary Hospital we treated him, quarantined the entire house and, with the least invasive treatment cleared all areas infected. Out of this ordeal, Bailey became the most loving, fantastic little guy you will ever meet... However, this fungus (in an attempt to survive) placed its spores inside his ear which, by October, transformed into a massive inner ear infection ultimately cost him his life... There is not one day passes that I don't cry with a pain is indescribable. On Christmas I decided to adopt a new baby would become my beacon of hope to get me away from the edge of depression; a little, tiny angel I could give a chance at having an amazing life. That's Pyukumuku... As a parent to my Guinea Pigs I have learned to perform routines to monitor and act if I notice something irregular. The minute we arrived home I noticed Pyukumuku's body was riddled with ringworm all over. Above his eye, ears, back leg (left) and his tummy... I noticed the one above his eye at PETSmart while the clerk was placing him in the box. I began treating him with the same remedy used with Bailey and, so far, both of us are making great progress and these spots of infected, bald skin are starting to grow healthy hair again. When I visited the store last Wednesday (January 3rd, 2018), I said Hello to all the Guinea Pig babies and with the naked eye you can see how most of them are infected as well... Some on their ears, hands, tushies, etc. I am heartbroken because the staff at this store, pardon my French, don't know shit about Guinea Pigs and treat them as merchandise. Their knowledge when people come to adopt one is questionable at best (claiming the Guinea Pig distinctive cry is "happy sounds because he's going to a new Home"). Nobody seems to be speaking on behalf of these little guys... In my house Pyukumuku is blessed because we love him just as much and will get through this with diligent quarantine and medicine just like his brothers have been taken care of in the past. However, I can only imagine a different house where the parent gifted one of these little guys to his/her child as, the first pet, only to find out the Guinea Pig is riddled with this obvious and contagious fungus... Freaking out about the safety of their children, they'll likely dispose of the little pet by dumping them at a shelter and never look back. ... Don't misunderstand the intention for this review, it is not to seek benefit for myself but rather question PETSmart as a company claims to care about animals and yet allowing their Guinea Pigs to be infected this bad. There seems to be no regulation whatsoever... To give you an idea: A. Bailey came to our house infected with ringworm which he caught at either the store or the farm breeds them. The entire treatment caused by that fungus (including the late inner ear infection) was $4,000. B. Pyukumuku arrived riddled with it as well. Thankfully in his case I started treating the areas early and have successfully killed 60% of the ringworm as of today. It is my hope that someone will step in and reprimand PETSmart to force them to evaluate the quality and safety protocols being taken by the breeder(s) because it is obvious they are having a massive ringworm outbreak is not contained. Remember: ringworm can be transmitted to humans from the animal and, as I said, parents tend to buy Guinea Pigs for their children to experience the beauty of the very first pet. I hope this brings justice in memory of my beautiful Bailey isn't with me anymore because of that nasty monstrosity, ringworm. read more

The grooming service here is absolutely horrible. Their lack of communication skill is an understatement for what they did to my cat. When I took my cat in for a consultation they explained to me there procedures, I thought being that I have a long hair cat when they shaved him it would be a trim. My cat was shaved down to almost the skin. The worst part is that they couldn't even finish the job because he was so petrified that he was clawing and bitting them. So now I have a half shaved cat. I would recommend NEVER take you animal here for grooming! read more

This PetSmart sucks, the man who was "helping" us was so rude to me and my sister when we were trying to buy a fish. He continually told us that all the fish we owned were going to die and kept questioning us. He was also very aggressive when putting my fish in it's bad, he kept shaking the fish and the bag. I just moved to the area and this place has absolutely horrible grooming service. Very overpriced and horrible treatment. They don't care about your pet and just want to get the next one in as quick as possible. I am not sure if its every store but Deptford is bad. If I could give 0 stars I would. Whoever is the salon manager is the worst possible manager in the world. My dog has a hip issue where when he gets nervous his leg tucks under..he can walk..he can run but he is a small dog. We have been getting him groomed there for some time now and they never have had an issue with his leg issue before and I called today to make an appointment and they told me my dog was BANNED from getting groomed there because he can't stand. So after taking my 25% tip they complain that he can't stand and the salon manager tells me nothing so I'm blindsided by it today when I make an appointment. I call the manager of the store and of course no help at all. I will be calling back to tell the salon manager where she can go as well. I would never bring my dog again to be groomed at the deptford grooming salon. The groomers are beyond rude and I have witnessed them on more than 1 occasion be rough with dogs. If it was possible to leave 0 stars I would. I went to return a product that I purchased at Petsmart. I did not have a receipt so I expected I would get a store credit which is fine and understandable. This product is a Petsmart brand and only sold at Petsmart. When I went to the clerk he ask About receipt and when I said I didn't have it he asked for my Petsmart reward number. I gave him both my phone numbers and it didn't come up so I guess my rewards number wasn't entered at time of purchase. He went to the manager who was Sitting in a room and she said I could not return it. I asked to speak with her and when she came out she said I couldn't return it and I ask why I couldn't return something and get a store credit when it was obviously a Petsmart product. She said cause it was on clearance recently - mind you that she said I couldn't return it before she even saw what I was returning cause she was sitting in an office. So I said well give me a credit for the clearance price then. It was not on clearance when I bought it but I said how much was the clearance price, and she said it was $7, and I'm sure you don't want $7 for it. I asked her to scan it to see what the price was and she refused. I will never shop there again. I know of no other store that doesn't let you return something that is unopened, unused, obviously their product and not at least give you the lowest price the item last sold at. I recently called Petsmart in Deptford to have both my cats nails trimmed. They told me to come right in that the groomer for cats would be there until 3pm. My kittens do not like going in their carrier and car rides are traumatic for them, and one has a heart murmur and gets very nervous if put in the carrier. I arrived within a half hour of calling (1pm) and was told that the groomer left and that no one else there was equipped to clip my cats nails. They told me to come back tomorrow between 9 and 5. I asked how valid that was considering the person there till 3 today had already left. I was rudely told "well she left". A little tact and customer service a simple " I'm sorry for the inconvenience" would have stopped me from writing this poor review. I hope someone reads this and properly teach your customer facing employees how to deliver and proper customer experience. As this was my first visit to your grooming area, I can assure you I will not be returning! read more
