I was able to visit Hapoy Hound before dropping our Dobby off and felt the location was very warm and friendly. It is not thr Ritz Carlton if dog hotels but the staff were very friendly and provided me updates while we were away. They have a board they put up of each dogs meals and who can play with who. The backyard is very large so lots of running around to be had. My pooch wears a FI collar so we could see when he ate/drank/barked and ran around. When we picked him up he seemed like he had a great time and no behavior issues (in fact maybe a little better behaved). I would definitely recommend this place if your in the Monroe area. Maybe 8 years or so ago, it was the worse place I've ever seen in terms of how they took care of their reptiles, but it has become much better on that front. But in terms of customer service, it's so bad. All three employees I saw today seemed inconvenienced by me even being there, let alone asking for help for something. I had asked to hold one of the rats, and I'm aware they are there as feeder rats for reptiles, but I was looking to get two as pets as I've had them in the past, but the way the lady handled them disgusted me. She had pulled one by its tail to get it closer to her to pick it up, which can cause literal spinal injuries. Maybe she thought I just wanted it as a feeder, but either way they're treated horribly, let alone the conditions of where they're kept in. And the rabbits as well, how they're kept all together in the tiniest enclosure is insane. You'd expect local businesses to thrive to be better than chain pet stores, but apparently not. I do appreciate how they support the local shelters though by helping fund things like the pet food pantry on Desiard, but the negativities of the customer service and enclosures weigh quite heavy.

There is no one I would trust with my dog more than the Brasiel family. They train and groom my dogs and I rest easy knowing they are in more than capable hands. Chance is the dog whisperer only to me he's better than Caesar. If you've never used them for dog training, you should, you'll never have a trainer that genuinely cares about you and your dog more than Chance Brasiel. Knowing that Tayler learned from him, I'd have the utmost confidence leaving my dog with her as well.

She cowers at every little thing and hides under anything she can get under.
