Dog Walking and Care - Cats too by Cole Ceas

Cole is literally a life saver dog whisperer angel! I love my two doggos (papillon mix and an…read moreAustralian Shepherd), but admittedly they are the biggest nightmares with anyone coming over the house... maintenence guy, deliveries, you name it. As soon as there is a knock/ring at the door, they bark, jump, and are pretty much out of control. I've spent countless hours and at least two different professional trainers armed with every tool in the book, and seemingly only marginal progress if any (completely my fault I'm sure). Knowing this, figuring out what on earth I was going to do when I have to be out of town last minute for work turns into the biggest project and full on anxiety attack. I've boarded them at places like PetSmart pet hotel without issues, but wasn't comfortable with the level of care (or lack thereof) they received (going for "walks" only around the inside of the store instead of outside, spending the entire time in a super cramped dirty kennel, being charged for every single interaction, etc). Really not wanting to send them there again, I was hoping to find an alternative option where they could stay at home for my upcoming trip. When I lived in Boston we had THE BEST dog sitter (PetWatch Boston!) who we found on Yelp. So I went to Yelp once again, reaching out to any and all local options. Despite not having any reviews I still reached out to Cole just to give it a shot. He was super quick to respond, said he mostly does car detailing but has gotten into pet sitting on the side. Hmm... no reviews, and someone who admittedly only does dog watching on the side, watching what I'm convinced are two of the most challenging dogs in existence. I was skeptical FOR SURE, so I was honest and upfront about the behavior issues. Explaining that he's looked after all kinds of dogs, he still seemed super confident it would be no problem. Alrighty dude, if you say so! I had him come over for a meet-and-greet. Right off the bat, as soon as he rang the doorbell, the crazy barking started. I brought the dogs outside to meet him, and it only got worse. Lunging, barking, growling, the whole 9. Feeling completely defeated and embarrassed I apologized and said I wasn't sure if it was going to work out. Obviously the safety of whoever watches my dogs is my primary concern, and I definitely don't want someone coming over if I think there's a possibility they're going to get hurt. If I was Cole I would have left then and there, but he was shockingly SUPER patient and calm. And reassured me it really wasn't a big deal. He insisted he was fine, and turns out he wasn't lying! He took the time necessary for them to warm up to him being around, and after a while he was able to do a full-on "mock" visit; walked into the home by himself, leashed them up, and took them around the block with no issues whatsoever. I cannot overstate how much of a miracle this was. He even said they were sweet dogs! I'm completely and utterly blown away with how quickly he was able to make it work and I can't believe I'm saying this but I think we found our next miracle dog sitter. I've interviewed numerous local options but Cole was by far the easy choice to watch them for the majority of the next two weeks. I'll be updating the review accordingly but after this amazing initial visit I really don't think there will be any problems whatsoever and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cole 100%.

I am so disappointed and not satisfied with how Ive been treated. Ive had issues in the past but…read morethis one is the cherry on the cake. I booked an appointment for my dog on Friday 01/2/2026 to have a lump checked and also to get vaccines. At the end of the appointment I was told that if my dog has any reactions or if something comes up to not hesitate to call back. Not even 2 hours later, Im in the emergency vet because my dog is having a bad seizure. She has never had a real one before. Not just a quick seizure. She was flopping like a fish out of water, foaming out the mouth, going in and out of consciousness, and defecated all over my partner. After being at the emergency vet, they couldn't really figure out what caused it but he did mention to me that the vaccines and stress could have definitely been the cause of it. They listed it as a grand mal seizure because it lasted over 15 minutes. She could have DIED! The emergency doctor told me to get into contact with her primary vet immediately. I called the very next morning, 30 mins after opening and was told my vet was unable and that she would call me back. I can be flexible but this is an important manner, figured the doctor knowing the circumstances would at least call me back by the end of the day to check in because IT IS A BIG DEAL! Nope. No call back. I tried calling 4x today, Sunday 01/4/26. Finally someone picked up and they only have a floater doctor? Really disappointing to have this happen after being told to call if something happens. How am I supposed to trust this doctor, the staff of this location, or honestly this vet as a whole, when I can't even be treated as if this situation matters!? Im disgusted with how this is being handled. I honestly will be calling Monday to receive a copy of my two dogs records and I will be looking for a better vet that actually shows they care. Im not sure what exactly happened when they took my dog into the back room but all I have to say is never again. I will be telling everyone Im close to about this situation and to not trust Banfield. I work with dogs too and I know how important safety, health concerns and communication is. I will fight to get my wellness plan cancelled. Horrible service. Horrible care. Doesn't even deserve a 1 star. Adding picture proof of hospital visit.

Since this time, I've heard more and more horror stories of "care" provided by Banfield Animal…read moreHospitals. Low standards coupled with consistent errors and miscommunications are continuing to lead to animal's suffering and dying. Find another provider where you can actually get straight answers to your questions and CONSISTENT proper care! I ask everyone to consider/reconsider their pet care needs and to avoid all Banfield Animal Hospitals. My 11/12/23 response to Banfield's Lisa R prepared comment: I don't care what your aim, goals, or objectives are. Your company's actions have proven to be DEADLY... Your Dr. Ashley Barto's consistent lack of proper care and follow-up care DIRECTLY LED TO MY CAT'S PREMATURE DEATH, PERIOD! Your SVP of Client Relations Ari Zabell's true and deliberate ignorance and blatantly belligerent response to the lawsuit I filed against BanField is immediate proof of fraud on your company's part on several accounts and stands today as testament to BanField's total lack of care for pet's and their owners... as long as you make your money, that's all you're clearly concerned about and ALL OF YOU MAKE ME SICK! There is a special dark place for all of you in hell and I just hope for the day that a class-action lawsuit is filed against you when you fuck with the wrong person, so that's when something might actually happen until then, GO TO HELL!!! I MUST ADD THE FACT: * Banfield must have paid off my legal resources to drop my case because that is what happened = I had all evidence including an initial support letter by an independent expert agreeing with my evidence and then after my animal rights lawyer and this expert contacted Banfield's SVP of Client Relations, Ari Zabell, the expert I hired did a 180° turn, denounced his own letter and sided with the blatantly false statement offered by Ari Zabell, a claim by him about BLOOD WORK that is a blatant misrepresentation of the plain facts in front of him! Since the expert withdrew, my animal rights lawyer dropped my case as well, unless I was willing to shell out another $1,500+ to continue to "look into the matter", at this additional and unethical extra cost! This industry is UGLY and CORRUPT and BANFIELD IS LEADING THE WAY!!!
