They worked tirelessly to remove the old countertops and backsplash and to ensure the heavy new countertops were perfectly aligned and level. I had no idea how physically demanding this work could be. The next day, during backsplash installation, the same praise goes to Patrick, Frank, Eddie, and Austin. They spent hours bending over the counters, meticulously cutting, placing, and grouting ceramic tiles on four walls. That has to be backbreaking, especially for someone as tall as Frank! My daughter had a designer at crate and barrel select furniture for her home. When the furniture…read morearrived, there were problems with the scale of the pieces, in particular two side tables that were too tall for the two new sofas. When we took them back to the store with the intention of returning them and replacing them with different selections from the same store, the store refused to accept the return because it was not in its original shipping box. We were told that the in box requirement was in the signed contract. I asked to see a copy of that policy and that contract and they could not provide either one because they doesn't exist. So first the designer chose pieces that did not actually work together, and when we tried to exchange them, they wouldn't accept the return of the pieces, even though we'd only had them for a week. And to add insult to injury all of the pieces, several thousand dollars worth, immediately went on sale a week after they were purchased and they would not make a price adjustment and they certainly never mentioned that in a few days all of these pieces were going to be significantly reduced. This store makes returns and exchanges of furniture so difficult that I will absolutely not buy furniture there and I certainly wouldn't use their designers.

He had a very extensive presentation and stayed for 3.5 hours. We were upfront about being in the middle of receiving multiple quotes for windows to get the best deal for home. He was very quick to put down their competitors and tell us how time consuming collecting the quotes would be. He gave us a quote of $19k+, then it became $17k+ and got it down to $16,500. We signed the contract, left a deposit, and cancelled our remaining window appointments. The following night, another company came to our door, he didn't realize we had cancelled but we decided to hear him out. We told him exactly what we wanted and what Mad City was offering. He was able to offer us a better window for a significantly lower cost. We immediately called Mad City to cancel our contract and we were within our 3 day cancellation period. The rep called us repeatedly and texted us asking what we were offered, asking to see the contract, etc. We were told to cancel, a manager HAD to come to the house to go over the cancellation process and it would take about 10 min. We could not sign anything digitally like we did when we signed the contract. The manager visit ended up being a 2nd sales pitch, that lasted over an hour, which we wanted nothing to do with. He was bashing the company we wanted to work with, speaking poorly about the previous rep saying he will be lucky if he has a job on Monday and the guy had only worked there 8 weeks anyway. We couldn't tell who was being truthful. He got the price down by $1k, but we were still not interested. He was appalled that we weren't taking his offer. He said if we wanted to go with a lower quality window for slightly less money that is will be our problem. I was not at the 2nd appt, my wife was alone, he asked her if she'd sign the contract without me knowing. Overall, very dishonest, unprofessional and aggressive.
