It's simultaneously heartwarming and heart wrenching to volunteer one's time in a place like this, the children are fun, interesting, cute, and they have so much going against them. The school is the safest place in their world, and there is all sorts of learning going on here in spite of under-funding and a Soviet style bureaucratic structure for the overall school system. The process to get into here or similar schools as a volunteer is a bit time consuming but don't let that stop you, it's really rewarding. The staff and teachers are just so wonderful it's pretty inspiring. Make sure you lock your car.

Maybe not quite appropriate even though Marshall was ethically opposed to slavery, he did own slaves and in a decision concerning the captured slave ship kept one third of the human cargo enslaved (the other two thirds were sent to Liberia). I suppose it doesn't matter as American history isn't really taught anywhere any more. The school itself use the arts to connect the curriculum and in spite of under-funding from the state level, they do a pretty good job it seems like. The building also houses some good community recreation programs run by Milwaukee Recreation. There are lots of different activities and after school events filled with parent and student volunteers. The school had two nice playgrounds and a good sized play area. We can't say enough about the school.

This sounds like something you'd hear from a seedy club at 2 am, not a private religious school. This occurs all day, on and off, making work from home and meetings impossible. It's disappointing that the school has such little regard for the local community in which they reside.

This is a fantastic school! All four of my children…read more attended and they loved everything about it. This exemplary school prepared them well to succeed in high school and taught them to love learning. They were grounded in their faith and enjoyed the many extra curricular activities like sports, Math league, STEM, music and art. The administration and teachers are the best in the area and they really care about our kids. Plus the facilities are first class with the latest in technology and physical comforts. If you are looking for world class education this is the place for you.
