We walked in and we were greeted with a nice hello. Our group split up with my mom looking at china, and the rest of us just aimlessly wandering around. The store was filled with so many cool things: from 100% silk Hawaiian dad shirts to old dial phones to cowboy boots -- anything and everything you can think of! The store isn't big so you have to be careful to not knock anything over. The store is roughly sectioned: the front is all china and jewelry, then there is kids' toys, then in the middle of the store there are two shelves of books (found a couple first editions in very good condition), then old clothes that look like they're from an old lady's closet (LOL). Other stuff includes vanity mirrors, silverware, hats, dial phones, and tons of knick-knacks. There is an entire room in the back dedicated to just records! My mom bought a bunch of English china and was very happy with her purchase. They wrapped each dish in wrapping paper and placed them carefully in a box. I didn't buy anything although I was very tempted to LOL Cool place to go in and just walk around -- you could literally spend hours exploring this store!

The owner was helpful, very businesslike, and worked with us on the price of a antique plate and a antique camera we purchased. Plenty of parking. Be careful because the aisles are narrow. This is a consignment shop so if you don't like the price, ask the person at the front for a discount, and if it's greater than 10% requested, then she can call the owner and ask for an adjustment. There was a $42 plate, we offered $30, she called the owner and the owner countered with 35 so we took it.

And there are treasures, vinyl in good condition or better with reasonable prices, without the usual junk found in other shops. Worth checking out if you are in the area. I definitely will be back next time I'm in the Pismo Beach area.

Also, the videogames are behind the counter for some reason? Can't really see or pick any out. In terms of pricing, the items seem pretty fairly priced, no complaints there. The service is great, the guy at the counter seemed genuinely enthusiastic and happy to help.

We'd passed it a few times and kept making a mental note to stop by and check it out. On one of our last days in town, we finally visited and spent about 30 minute perusing the awesome selection of goods that the very cool and very approachable owner, Malik, has curated. There's a nice selection of vintage and new items, from books and records to clothing and decor. Prices are reasonable and with the jazz playing in the background, Satellite gives off a soothing, relaxing vibe. We grabbed a bag of locally roasted coffee beans and a card for a friend. We're trying not to add too much to our place, otherwise we would have loaded up on more goodies, as Satellite's style is right up our alley. (Wish I'd been smart enough to take pictures.) Pro tip: Satellite is really close to Bread Bike, Nautical Bean and High Street Deli. Load up on your way to/from Satellite. You'll be so proud of yourself.
