If Amoeba music in Hollywood merged with an antique shop and a pawn shop, this would be it. I was visiting from out of town and thought I'd stop in this store because I saw it was a music store. When I walked in I was shocked at how big of a space this was. It was packed with records, CD's, old record players, VCR, DVD players, stereos, light-up signs, you name it! I could easily spend hours there going through all the music they had. It's seriously so cool. I browsed through various record sections an found some old Hawaiian records and randomly went through a CD section that happened to have tons of old Studio One reggae CD's. Felt like I came across someones prized reggae CD collection. I ended up buying one for $10 because my work vehicle is so old it has a CD player, so I left with a souvenir from here. Walked in expecting to find vinyls but stumbled upon so much nostalgia. There's so much to go through. Comics, toys, figurines, vinyl's, CDs, lunch boxes. The prices are negotiable. I'd recommend checking eBay and comparing prices. The people walking around aren't the people to negotiate with so don't waste your time with them. There is Nazi memorabilia. The back was filled with POPs and vintage toys. I was told this section has its own seller and doesn't belong to the rest of the store. I thought that when my Mom used to rent a spot in Cayucos Antique Mall that they had a lot of this type of items. I'll make this review nice and succinct. Searched for record shops in the area while I stopped to fuel up on my trip. They had some decent reviews so I headed over. Was initially excited to see a lot of records. As I flipped through their "New Arrivals" I was shocked to see Glen Campbell, Neil Sedaka, Bread and many other less than notable artists priced $8 to $20. I then decided to stroll through the remaining sections to see if things would improve. Sadly, this place is filled with underwhelming and overpriced records commonly found at thrift stores and old antique shops. Walked in here yesterday and instantly fell in love. My sister and I were greeted right away, there are records everywhere, old record players, Jukeboxes, nostalgia on the walls. So fun. They have bins full of $1 records.. BUYER BEWARE!!! I drove 20 miles to buy an advertised electronics item from this store and its owner, Mike. Before I drove to the store, I called to confirm a time with Mike to be sure he'd be there. He was not there at the agreed time, and I had to wait an hour for him to even show up (without any apology). I drove home after the purchase only to find that the item was totally broken and non-functional. After informing him that the unit was broken this guy, Mike, acted as though I was the problem with the deal. No apology, no acknowledgement of error, no professionalism whatsoever. He sold me a broken item without any remorse, which realistically means that he'll sell anyone else a broken item without hesitation. There was another employee there, an ugly dude who was particularly rude as well. This is a store best avoided. read more

I came in for my very first time a few weeks ago. Mike, the owner was super helpful and really knew his vinyl. Picked up a great receiver and speakers so I can play all the vinyl I bought. He even hooked up the wires for me. Awesome. The store also has a lot of cool vintage stuff. I live in Orange County but Paradise is definitely on my list of places to drop in next time I'm in town.
