I believe we started with a carrot and tomato purée, followed by a flat rice noodle red sauce 'pasta' which to be honest was too undercooked for me. Then a cut of roast beef, soooo tasty! Moist and just delicious. The side of mashed potatoes was also fantastic. And it ended on a delicious couple scoops of sorbet. It was really such a great meal, minus the noodles, but that's ok.

Red has hole number 9 come back to the clubhouse, Blue 9 ends at the halfway house and Yellow 1 starts at the halfway house and ends back at the clubhouse. I may have Red and Blue mixed up. Nonetheless, if you finish at Yellow 1, you have a long and thrilling drive - if you follow the Yellow track back via the holes, as golfers launch balls by you - or a confusing drive, as you try to navigate the back trails. The course is well matured and kept in good conditions. The place has great elevation changes and if you are not in the best physical condition, take the cart. The course can be long and hard on some of "weekend warriors" who are more in it for the "weekend" and less "warrior." The clubhouse is good for hosting tournaments. The buffet dinners they serve are pretty decent and well executed by the staff. The golf for tournaments are well planned and after 50 years of doing it, they have it right for sure. I've played this course at least once a year in either a tournament or an outing with my friends. I play it seldom because it is not convenient for me, but I would play it more if I was closer to it. Fees are acceptable and I find it worth the value. FORE!!!! Cheers.

It will test your game! I first played here many years ago, long before the surrounding neighbourhood and current clubhouse were built. It was a really good golf course back then but it has evolved into quite a gem of a facility, especially the clubhouse! After our round (my worst in years), we enjoyed dinner in their fantastic restaurant. It was spacious and airy, both indoor and outdoor. Very nice! We were all starving, so we started with their Yorkshire Sliders (Shaved Prime Rib, Horseradish Mayo, Au Jus), which were very tender and delicious! For our main course, most of us opted for the Cedar Brae Signature Burger (House Made 10oz Top Sirloin Burger with Chipotle Aioli, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle on Brioche Bun). I added bacon and cheese to mine and had fries on the side. This burger was quite hefty and delicious! The fries were equally good. A slice of delicious Ferrero Rocher Cheesecake completed this delicious and filling meal! Overall, despite my poor play, it turned out to be a good day. The meal and company more than made up for it. Since we were here on Star Wars day (May 4th), there were even green Yoda drinks with eyes and lime slices for ears. They definitely played up this theme all day and it was a really nice touch. The antipasto, which is usually my least favorite dish, was really good. The beef entree was amazing. It was cooked perfectly medium on the inside with the same color pink throughout. The staff were courteous and accommodating. One person at our table asked for the personal caesar salad without bacon since the shared salad had bacon and we pretty much received another shared salad. Towards the end of the evening, the staff were clearing off tables while the banquet was winding down. But they were a little too quick to clear the tables that they took away someone's photo booth photos before those people came back to the table to claim their photos. I was pleasantly surprised to find Bibimbap on the menu so I had to try it. It may not have been as authentic as what I've had at Korean restaurants but it was pretty good. I had requested no cucumbers and they were happy to comply. My playing partners seemed to enjoy their meals also. The restaurant was busy with many other golfers waiting out the rain. Unfortunately, it started raining a lot harder while we were eating and then came the hail and wind. We never made it out to the golf course. We would have needed a canoe to get around out there. Played 18 holes here, first nine at Parkland, last nine at Forest…read more It was corporate golf tournament and I was coming from the states that morning and wasn't bringing any clubs with me so I called twice in advance to see if they could set aside some lefty women's clubs for me. They said sure and took my name. When I got there, about 1/2 hour before our start, they told me they don't have any lefty women's clubs at all... and it wasn't that they ran out-- they just didn't have any! That was frustrating since I had called ahead to check. Lefties never get any love! They did have one set but it was graphite and it might have been mens, which is probably why they said it would be heavier, but I didn't have any problems with it considering it was a one time rental. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and gave our group towels to keep our cart seats dry in the rain. The course is just beautiful with a variety of Par 3, 4 and 5's and the weather improved for us as we played. Nice locker rooms and facilities at the club house. They do cater on site although the food was just decent and nothing to get excited about. I believe this is a members only club so, if you're in the Toronto area and can get a member to include you, this is a great stop for a day of golf.
