It's a mix of a few styles. I told her I want an A LINE LONG BOB of sorts. I explicitly said, I'm not a hair stylist so I don't know the correct terminology so please forgive me. The photos and language were the template that created the style I LOVED. The photos of me in pink are the results of the hair cut I desired. I take responsibility for the results I received and think it's fair to share my experience here. Linda finished cutting my hair and it was nothing like I desired. I grabbed the chunks of hair I wanted to be shorter. I sat back down and she went at my hair another round. There was a moment of chatter about having my hair short- I said, YES! "I want it short in the back, like a cute short cut". I trusted her as she again was confident and motivated. She grabbed the clippers, touched the back of my neck and asked me if that's where I wanted it. I waited a few moments and clarified, "that's where I want my hair to end, yes". Before I knew it, she used the clippers up most of the back of my head. It was too late to say anything and I hoped for the best. What I ended up with was a look like friar tuck in the back. A bowl cut in the back. Two inches of my hair laid in from the top in the back creating a straight horizontal line with buzzed hair below it. The sides of my hair remained longer and untouched except for a trim. I asked her two times for some long bangs in the front. She didn't do anything to the front. The hair on the sides were to be angled. An a line, I expressed. These hairs were horizontal. By the time I looked at the back I wasn't interested in having her cut my hair anymore. I went home. Cryed. Had my bf do some blending in the back so the straight line wouldn't be so bold. I also did a little angle cutting on the hair in the front on the left side. I'm so unhappy with this cut, I feel like I was raped. I was courageous and used my voice to get what I wanted and then she went all the way for whatever reason. I would have NEVER told her to buzz the back of my hair. I realize afterwards, that I could have said, "do a short cut in the back like a long pixie". By then it was too late. I got a wild do and that's that. I get to grow it out and share my experience. I realized earlier this year that if I don't speak up, others will fall victim. Go to your hair stylists with empowered voice. Say what you want and have them repeat back to you what they heard. Clarify for your sake. Clarify so you get what you want. Don't just trust people to do what they want because they only know what's in their experience. Tell them what you want with courage.

I live in Savannah and was willing to commute for the right person. I found Salon PK on IG. I called and inquired about getting my hair done. I spoke with Tatiyana and she told me I could come in that day to have a consultation. I told her I was out of town for work until mid January. She asked some questions about my hair and she said that we can set up a virtual consult. She got my number and said that she will be sending me a message to send her some pictures of my hair then she will set up a virtual consult. One week later, I heard nothing from Tatiyana or the salon. I tried to give grace because it was around the holidays. I called again and spoke to a young lady at the desk. She reassured me she would have Tatiyana call me back. Tatiyana called me back and no apologies or anything for the lack of communication. Now Tatiyana says I have to come in for a consult and she picked which stylist would be best for me. Never seen this stylist work and how could she pick what stylist is best for me when she knows nothing about my hair. I then asked would I be able to get my hair done when I come in for a consult and she said I might but can't guarantee it. By December 2021, my hair had finally grown out a bit, but came in much darker than it had been previously. It was depressing! I read about Hidden Hills on Next Door and then checked out their website, which includes info on each stylist. I decided to book an appointment with Vanessa, because she is from SC, same as me, and it seemed we had some things in common. Vanessa highlighted my very short hair and gave it a little trim to shape it up. When Vanessa washed out my hair and pulled the towel off, I saw myself in the mirror, looking more like the "real" me than I'd seen in almost a year! I shed a few tears and pretty sure Vanessa did too. Yesterday I went back to Vanessa for another highlight and trim. My hair had grown a LOT, but my roots needed help! Well, Vanessa did it again! It took longer to do the highlights this time since my hair was longer, but Vanessa patiently painted the solution onto my hair and wrapped it in foils. Once again, Vanessa hit a home run! It's going to take a long time for my hair to get back to its previous shoulder + length. But every day I feel closer to the "old" me, and Vanessa's expertise is a big part of that! That means we were charged over $600 for the hair. If you get your hair done at this establishment, please demand the prices up front because they will get you if you are not diligent. It's very hurtful that people will run a deceitful business when times are hard for a lot of people. That's not good customer service at all and will definitely hurt the business in the long run. Bad reviews travel just as well as good ones do. Be careful who you do business with. To respond to the response, that is not true. I asked several times for pricing and you had an excuse each time. You stated that you couldn't provide prices because you were in transit when we spoke? What about mentioning that the first time I called, you were not in transit but still had an excuse for why you couldn't provide any prices. You said you would call me back and never did, so the SECOND time that I called you were conveniently IN TRANSIT! Like I said, very deceptive business practices. I'm not the only one that has fallen victim to this. I also agreed on 24 inches but 28 inches was installed without checking with me. Please beware and make sure you demand the prices instead of trusting that they will be reasonable. That was definitely my fault for trusting them. They didn't even try to fix the color on the lace. I was given an invoice on the last visit but once I was given a quote of $255 I NEVER booked an appointment! Even when I contacted business I was told I booked an appointment on the 30th when today is the 22nd! Point is I NEVER made an appointment and even when they tried to take a deposit I received an invoice for $175 which was a totally different amount from the previous one I contacted them and really didn't like the energy I was getting and her tone! So to all clients watch for non-auth payments and the amount in which you are being charged! I will never use this business again because I felt like like it was trying to scam!
