Me and my husband have been going here for years. Every experience has been great until last week. Unfortunately we experienced the WORST and most disrespectful service possible from one specific employee. My husband asked her some product questions and she had THE WORST attitude immediately. She was shrugging her shoulders, rolling her eyes and talking to him with a hostile tone the whole time. This happened the entire time. I really had to work hard to control my emotions because she was so disrespectful. We were kind to her the whole time and did NOTHING to deserve her awful treatment. My husband planned on purchasing multiple items and at one point she yelled at him and said "LIKE I SAID" all while giving him a dirty look and rolling her eyes. Upon leaving I got her name and it's Vivian. She is the pregnant female with black hair to be clear. So we will be taking our business elsewhere from now on. We work hard for our money and I absolutely will not give my money to a business just to be treated like dirt and like I'm a bother. Nothing against Phenos, but if you are going to let your employees treat people so disgustingly disrespectful i will just go down the road to Authentic. I really hope that the management starts paying attention because I have spoken with some other people I know the frequent there and Vivian has also treated them bad as well. Specially I was told that she tried to make them feel stupid and that's EXACTLY how she treated my husband, who is the kindest man and didn't deserve her rudeness for trying to give your business money. This location use to be the 24-hour in shape city on mchenry, but now it's one of the biggest and hottest places in town. For starters, come here if you want some knowledge on cannabis. Destiny helped us out and was very patient and knowledgeable about what's being sold here. Tell them how much you want to spend and they'll get you every dollars worth. Cash only, but don't worry there's an ATM inside. Wear a mask and bring a valid ID and someone will check your temperature at the door and also register you by phone number. The checking in was quite pleasant! I recommend this spot if you want to try something new. Customer service was 5/5 everyone from the security guard, check-in, and sales team. Hubby and I have been dry for several months now. We couldn't take this break any longer, so we decided to look for a good dispensary to go to. I heard many positive things about Phenos so we gave it a try. There was definitely a long line when we went in on Memorial Day, but we didn't mind waiting. It actually went by faster than I thought it would. The employees were super helpful and gave us great recommendations on what we needed. Best part are the prices, omg! I don't miss Vegas prices at all, let's just say that. We got a full gram (pen cartridge) for only $30!!!!! You can't beat that deal anywhere else. We tested it out and it was good. Long waits. Good prices and products but it's frustrating coming on a Friday night to see 30+ people in line and 3-5 budtenders. 30+ minute wait to get to the budtender, then it's normally an outsourced employee. "Oh I'm just filling in from X dispensary I don't normally work here" then have no knowledge of the products. I feel bad for the employees, always understaffed. Lots and lots of missed business. Lots of times the line is wrapped around the building outside and people see it then leave. read more

I want to give it zero stars. I've been in this industry for over 10 years. This dispensary has gotten worse by the months. They don't hire people who know what they are talking about. They hire people that look a certain way rather than people that have knowledge and love for the medicine they are distributing. The bud tenders only want to push off what they smoke rather than listen to the customer. They don't even know the differences in types of concentrates.
