I've grown much stronger in the few months that I've been going here and never once did they push me to do something that I wasn't able to accomplish. I learned to trust that they will never ask me to do something that I'm not capable of achieving. They have a studio in Exton as well. Both facilities are private, clean and well equipped. I went on a Monday night to one of the Zumba classes and I was hooked. It was fun it was a workout and I was getting cardio as well. Rae and Jolie are so welcoming to each and every person that walk through that door. I purchased the 10 class punchcard and I have tried three separate classes and I have not been disappointed yet. They are there to instruct you and they make sure you are doing the exercise correctly they will show you during a class how to make sure it's done right. I was so bored at my gym that ever since I found One Spark Fitness they actually feel like I'm not just another gym membership. They get involved with everyone. Slowly, Neil helped me to get to the point where I am now beginning to build strength and flexibility. He has years of experience and looks at the whole picture of health when trying to construct a program. I really love that he keeps me moving with different exercises every week- this doesn't get boring. He does that too, but its about making one move better, making one live better, and making one have an overall healthier body which can move well, not just a body which can lift heavy things. His philosophy is holistic which in my experience is pretty rare among trainers. Most importantly, he admits when he doesn't know something. My hamstrings have always been super tight and with other trainers they just told me to kept stretching them (or work through the pain). Neil started out saying I should keep stretching them, but then noticed that didn't seem to be doing much. He wasn't sure what the issue was, so he brought in a physical therapist who he knows, who was able to figure out that its because of a weak core, and so we've been working with that and my hamstrings have improved massively. Working with a trainer who knows physical therapists and knows when to ask them for guidance has been invaluable. His space is relaxing, private, and pretty quiet by NYC standards.

Both L&L are very good at what they do - i.e. they know when to push and always are super supportive (even when you have an off day). Larah especially has been really supportive with my wife (not that Lou hasn't been). My wife is trying to get pregnant and Larah & Lou have been super supportive being new parents themselves. They measure your progress both qualitatively and quantitatively. They're always checking in to see how you're feeling and will never make you do an exercise that you're not comfortable doing. Both L&L will always show you the right way and are actively watching to make sure you're doing it right and most importantly safely. Second, they make you feel comfortable - which is really important. I've been to the big chain gyms and you never quite feel like you fit in. With Lou and Larah it's almost like they become your "workout buddies". They make you want to go and see them, hang out and work out. Lastly, their facility is top notch. I can honestly say Lou always has at least 2-3 different exercises per body part because of his knowledge and because of the diverse equipment they have. I'm sure my wife would say the same about Larah and her knowledge. It's clean, bright and has plenty of parking. The rationale provided for this frequency structure included helping members more rapidly become familiar with navigating equipment, ensuring exposure to a wide range of exercises (which, according to a coach, may not repeat more than twice a year), and minimizing in-class setup or modification questions. However, this approach seems at odds with the messaging I received during onboarding that modifications are welcomed and supported. Overall, the experience felt somewhat misaligned with how the program was initially presented. The onboarding emphasized a "no pressure" environment, but the membership frequency options feel "pressured" and class expectations may not support a gradual or sustainable entry point for all individuals. For those considering this gym, it may be a good fit if you're ready to commit to a higher training frequency.
