This is Carry Phillips. Yelp is known as the enemy of small business because they allow ANYONE to write reviews, they don't require any proof and they create these profiles without business owner's knowledge or consent. Rest assured, I am licensed and have dozens of great recent references available at any time.
There are 4 reviews here... Only one person actually received services from the business....
One is a drug addict who got fired, one is a person who was refused services, one is a person who backed out on services for their own reasons and one is an actual past customer.
Now, lets have some fun with the responses!
1) Matt T: Begged and convinced me to repair a table for him, after being told I was busy with larger jobs. He said it was sentimental and really important to him. After I agreed and changed my schedule for him, he waited until the last minute, days later, to unapologetically cancel with no explanation. He is a S**t H++d and I stand firm on that.
2) Kyle R: Hired this kid during the beginning of Covid out of desperation. Suspended my 'no criminal record' policy temporarily. He got fired after two days for not being able to follow instructions (drugs), as well as having demons tattooed all over him and using the F word constantly in front of my elderly female customer.
3) Josh K: Went to look at a roof leak for free. Upon walking into the extremely filthy house which reeked like marijuana and garbage, I saw that there was a leak that had been ignored for a very long time. He was very bossy, pushy, all knowing and got me to agree to fix it. Later the same day, I realized I should have turned it down, so I politely turned it down. When you read that long drawn out vendetta of a review, just know that it is literally because I told him I didn't want to work for him in the same day that I met with him.

4) Sherry M (Mr. and Mrs. Massenelli):
The only customer to ever report me to the contractor licensing board... They got shut down and looked foolish, to the point that the board just stopped relaying their responses and dropped it... but still, the only actual customer.
Every detail of their complaints were written in the actual contract as what was going to happen, before they requested it and signed it.
You can look up the complaint, responses and outcome through the licensing board.
Mr. Mass wanted a dog kennel built. His only goal was "cheap, cheap, cheap". It didn't matter how it looked at all, so long as it was cheap and it kept his dogs in. We discussed every aspect of how it would be built and he got exactly what he asked for and paid for. The price was literally half of what any fence contractor would do it for.
************************************************************
It was all sealed to the hilly ground to keep his dogs in and no extra steps were taken to make it fancy. He, his wife and his daughter had all inspected the fence when it was 3/4 done (all frame and half pickets) and he wrote a check for the full amount, without me asking and without complaints, because he felt like it was going well.

Keep in mind the house I built it behind was his "extra house" and was worth about 40k.
Before I did the fence job, I met them at their house and talked about rebuilding their deck. They were all on board.
During the fence job, Mr. Mass texted me at least 3 times a day about the deck, often asking the exact same questions and affirming the same things. I finally stopped responding... That's when things took a turn...
Next thing I knew, he had a bunch of illegitimate complaints about the fence. I tried to be nice but it was a strange, tyrannical "you obey me and answer how I want, when I want" situation. I finally told him to back off.
Next thing that happened was his wife sending 20+ texts, back to back, calling me a POS and terrible idiot and sending screenshots of her talking trash about me on social media. Naturally I decided to block them.
Then the contractors licensing board stepped in and I was able to prove how ridiculous they were being and that I actually hardly made any money on the job and gave them exactly what they had requested, and signed up for, on a contract. read more
