She's a teenager, so we hardly need the child-proof lids. Sometimes we'll get the regular lids, sometimes we won't. I picked up three prescriptions one time and two had the child-proof lids and one didn't. I've asked them repeatedly not to give us the child-proof caps. I get a rather snotty answer that it's already noted on our profiles. The automated system drives us nuts. It calls when your prescription is ready, which is fine, but it will call for each and every individual Rx. So, if you're waiting on six, you'll get six automated calls, one after the other. The final straw for me, though, was when I went to pick up the kiddo's Rx today. It was called in to the pharmacy yesterday, but still wasn't ready by 11:30 this morning. When I got the automated call, we left to pick it up. We got to the pharmacy at 1:20 and waited in the drive-thru lane for 10 minutes behind two cars. When we FINALLY got to the window, they closed the curtains and told me they were going to lunch! They seriously would not give me the Rx. I was told to come back later after 2:00. (I did, but the line of cars wrapped around the building, and I had just bought ice cream at the store. If it took ten minutes with two cars, I couldn't sit there with six cars ahead of me, so I left). We'll now be going to a different pharmacy for our meds. Unless it needs to be ordered, I should be able to get necessary meds in less than 24 hours from when the doctor calls it in.

This needs to be a two way street. My recent visit to this location just reinforced the notion that I am lumping them in with Kmart, Burger King, and Sears. Oldies, but not Goodies anymore. In other words, is anyone in management, or corporate, paying attention to the current retail times, or the overall weary condition of your stores, and staff? I was very discouraged by their photo developing system. Nothing appears to have changed with their system since the 1980s. I decided to move on to more modern-looking equipment, and products, at another establishment. During my shopping trip to this location, an announcement was repeated several times that the store was being monitored, and, rest assured, you can shop without fear. Two elderly women near me could not make out what was being said, so I kindly interpreted for them . Basically, you can shop here safely, and, while you are at it, don't think about shoplifting. I honestly do not care for this constant reminder. This location must have a high theft incidences or something. Drug stores are constantly trying to bring your business to them. Thank goodness there are other options in this category.

Giant Eagle Pharmacy is GREAT, if you don't go during the middle of the day or on a weekend. They have ample checkouts (five in total) and plenty of workers. The drive thru is convenient, but sometimes it is just simpler to come inside for your prescription.

This is a review of the pharmacy, not the grocery store…read more The drive-thru pharmacy is bad. Really bad. The line is always long and moves incredibly slow. Two of the last three visits we've left without our prescriptions because of the line. This last time was the final straw. I sat in line (without moving) for almost ten minutes. Next thing I know, a lady from the pharmacy is outside telling me I need to leave because they're closing. She went along and told all the cars behind me the same thing - we needed to leave the line and go inside to get our prescriptions. If the pharmacy is closing, which is why we need to leave the line, why are we able to get the prescriptions inside, then? The former pharmacy entrance is now closed to customers and used for curbside pickup only, so you have to park at the opposite end of the store then walk the complete length of the store to get to the pharmacy. There's a handicapped placard on my car for a reason! I can't walk that far! I was in line well before their closing time and wasted all that gas for nothing. I had to leave without my prescription. If they won't help people after a certain time, even though they were in line before closing, then they need to have the person put out traffic cones to close the line off before they close so they can serve people who are in line before they close. And closing at 6:00 is ridiculous!

Aside from that, it's basically like any other big box store. Bulk items of everything you can imagine. Plus they have some great prepared foods (taco kits, pot pies etc). Yeah, bulk purchases mean more planning and sometimes you don't 100 bags of the same thing over and over. But I love Sam's more for the extra things on top of just the bulk food. They have the absolute cheapest packaging supplies (I do a lot of shipping so cheap bubble wrap and tape SPEAK to me) The food samples are just nostalgic youth moments and still fun to grab multiple... PS the workers don't care. The faster it goes, the quicker they can go in the back. The scan and go changed the game. No more waiting in lines and no more wondering if you over spent as you wheel your big cart to the front. Simple integration in their app and simple to use. I wish more stores could get on board. Plus... now the automatic exit scanners mean no more employee fumbling through your cart to scan the required number of items. Sam's knows what we need and they implement it.

They've continued to innovate into today by offering curbside pickup & expanding their self checkout. I've noticed these changes since shopping here since 2019 & this location has made huge leaps & bounds by offering what I've just mentioned recently. My shopping experiences have improved in checkout efficiency. Even full service checkout has a little improvement as I've observed 3-4 checkout lanes open recently vs 1 lane more backed up then Pittsburgh tunnel traffic at rush hour. Checkout experiences will vary as some cashiers have knowledge pertaining to non-traditional payments like Healthy Benefits (United Health OTC/Grocery benefit) or store credit card. Eight times out of 2 my checkout experiences have been efficient & reasonably quick while offering satisfactory customer service. Associates strive to assist customers in other areas throughout this store. Each dept offers only essentials within merchandise selections. If your sewing auto or home improvement projects involve beyond their selections of your needs. Go elsewhere. Store cleanliness remains above average; they could stand to maintain their restrooms better & dressing rooms with less items & other clutter left inside. Shopping areas seem to be maintained well as I didn't see any problems with the floors furnishings or anything filthy for that matter. Organization tends to remain a problem but it's kept to a minimum possible & kept as such by dedicated store employee's & OCD (Yes I organize things there too) customers. My main patronage consists of groceries or merchandise from their pharmaceutical section. Grocery selection remains on par with Giant Eagle or Khun's offering 3 basic depts (Bakery Deli & Meats/seafood) & sometimes more expanded depending on what foods youre looking for. I love their pizza selection as theirs is unique carrying primo brands not found elsewhere. Same goes with their other foods or beverages. I shop their electronics occasionally & they've begun offering brands & items you'd usually find within best buy or other major electronics stores. Other service offered on premises is their TLE (Tire Lube Express) offering basic maintenance services from tire repair oil chances along with other selected car maintenance services. I'll elaborate more about TLE within their yelp. Their other related auto service is their Walmart fuel station across the lot (I've reviewed them recently).
