A twin mom's dream come true. Every cart is a double cart, the family restroom is big enough to fit said cart and on sample days, many are kid and baby friendly. Aside from that, it's basically like any other big box store. Bulk items of everything you can imagine. Plus they have some great prepared foods (taco kits, pot pies etc). They also have a cafe which is a really cheap way to feed your family. They have pizza, hot dogs, yogurts, ice cream, pretzels, icees and pop. The downside is that there are ALWAYS lines. Sorry, world.... Sam's is better than Costco Okay, now that that is cleared up! Sam's Club is just better! Yeah, bulk purchases mean more planning and sometimes you don't 100 bags of the same thing over and over. But I love Sam's more for the extra things on top of just the bulk food. They have the absolute cheapest packaging supplies (I do a lot of shipping so cheap bubble wrap and tape SPEAK to me) The food samples are just nostalgic youth moments and still fun to grab multiple... PS the workers don't care. The faster it goes, the quicker they can go in the back. The scan and go changed the game. No more waiting in lines and no more wondering if you over spent as you wheel your big cart to the front. Simple integration in their app and simple to use. I wish more stores could get on board. Plus... now the automatic exit scanners mean no more employee fumbling through your cart to scan the required number of items. Sam's knows what we need and they implement it. read more

Reference to the Cafe: The food is very good and the people working there are always professional and courteous. The problem is in the ordering process. At least, one should be able to order from either the Cafe or the register. There is always a line of customers who have merchandise and the wait is too long. Also, if I, for example want just a hot dog I should be able to get just a hot dog and not the combo. Most times I just walk away. CHANGE THE SYSTEM!!! read more

Amazing store! We rarely go go this location. We usually go to the one in Greensburg and that one is nicer. This one is still nice though!! They have a wide variety of things! The staff are very nice! And place is clean, and the cafe food is good! The only bad thing is that now you have to place your order for the cafe on the app which is not very convenient. They have a nice selection. I like Costco better but sam's is closer. Their gas prices are the lowest around. Getting gas is so easy with the app and you don't have to go thrta checkout with the app. Just or your credit card number in the app and checkout on the way out within line. read more

The older lady at the bakery section today around 330 was very rude. Went there to pick up a cake that I ordered over the phone late last week. I told her the name the cake was under as well as the type of cake and size it was, she went looking for it came back and was like she can't find the cake could it be under a different name and I told her no because I put it under my name which is the name I gave her to begin with and again, I told her the type of cake it was (what image was on it). She kind of got snippy and said she needs to know the name the cake is under because she's not about to go back there and look through every cake. so for the third time I told her my name Fay and last name and again and she still couldn't find the cake. She brought out the cake order forms for today and showed me and said, do you recognize any of these names? As I'm looking I don't see my name, but then I see they have something that may be my name though it's spelt wrong. I go by "Fay" they had "Say". She went back, got the cake. Though if she would've just looked in the first place she wouldn't have missed the cake. A full sheet cake with Pikachu. This isn't a easy cake to miss. Where this Sam's Club sits always acts like a bottleneck. It sits above the other stores and car dealership at what can be considered a dead end road. I would suggest to avoid this area on a heavy shopping day or when people leave work in droves. That contributes to the bottlenecking. They will all come here to get gas since it is the cheapest in the area. The parking lot reminds you of a home improvement store parking lot. In part that is because this is the only thing up here. I need to move on from the parking lot, it is giving me anxiety. Inside it feels smaller than other Sam's Clubs out there, but they were well stocked and items were easy to find. I came in here with a list of things I needed and I made sure to get only what I needed and not get distracted by anything else. I enjoy that you can now use your app to checkout and bypass the registers. Just have your phone ready and you can be on your way out the door much faster than the traditional route. read more

My first and favorite Sam's Club. Gas prices are always 10-30 cents cheaper than anywhere else and the pumps have been updated so you can use your physical or app membership card. No cash accepted at the pumps. The seasonal selections are always much cheaper than hardware, nursery, or general stores. I get large indoor and outdoor plants for $14-25 dollars where other places charge $40+ The selection of meat and seafood has a decent variety of species, but few organic and USDA prime meats. There's plenty to choose from in produce and I've never had an issue with freshness. When I was disabled, I still found it easy to navigate the store on an electric cart, on a knee scooter, and with my cane. The aisles are wide and associates can be easily flagged for assistance. The reason I'll never give up my Sam's Club membership is this: Scan and go touchless checkout on the Sam's Club app, where you show a QR code to the associate on the way out instead of a paper receipt. AND The pickup feature. I love being able to get my essential groceries loaded into my vehicle. read more

I grew up with the closest Sams club being 45 minutes away, so having one in the town where I work is great! They've made some great improvements lately to improve the shopping experience at this store. They converted most of the checkout lines to self checkout so that there's virtually no lines anymore. They also have some of the best produce and meat in the area. Don't overlook the tire center either. The installation package includes road hazard protection so I got a free $150 tire when I got a nail in mine. And don't forget to get gas here, it's way cheaper than every other place in town. read more

As crazy as this Sam's store always is, I have many options to check out as well as save money. With the new app, I can scan my purchase as I go skipping waiting in line at the register in the end. The selection is huge and I always save money even on simple things like water which is half of what I'd pay at the grocery store, that in itself pays for my membership. If you go on weekends you have the opportunity to sample many of their products you may normally not try, they have folks set up throughout the store giving out free samples. read more

This Sam's club carries a few things that I enjoy but not enough in the food department. Lots of beverages to choose from although I only get water. 40 bottles of 16.9 fl oz for $4. Can't beat that right? i use to shop here for my dog food but I wanted something healthier for them to eat. I noticed recently they have a brand of Purina that has no wheat or soy and that chicken is the main ingredient. It's a lot cheaper than what I am buying now so I think I will switch to that. The food section is large but most of it isn't organic so I have to carefully look through to find certain items that I like. They have organic coconut oil for only $8 and it's a big tub too. They sell meat by the bulk which leads me to believe at what hourly rate these animals are being killed to produce this much meat for hungry consumers. Not to mention how much meat people waste on a daily basis. I usually grab the salads that are organic and the cage free egg bundle. The clothes are a little pricey to me unless they are out of season. The same shorts they sold for $17 in the summer are now $9.99. I tried to find some in my hubbys' size but they were all gone. This store is great for Restaurant owners and Large families. I like to buy certain things in bulk that don't expire and last a long time like toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags and even dishwasher powder. It literally takes me a year to go through all the garbage bags that I own. haha. I wish the lines weren't so long here. They did add a few self check out lines but they are 10 items or less and don't accept cash. The small cafe they have at the end is pretty nice. The italian sausage they have with peppers and onions is really good and full of flavor. The pizza is decent too but sometimes it's not cooked through all the way and the crust is extremely doughy. They could use a few more items like gaming consoles and shoes but i guess we will see what conspires!! read more

This Sam's is the closest Sam's to my house so I am always here. Either to shop or get gas. It's located on the top of the hill right behind Gabriel Brothers. I wish there was a Wal-Mart close like at Pittsburgh Mills so you could knock out two places at once but, the citizens of nearby Wilkins Township have been fighting Wal-Mart from moving into to old Sears that has been closed for over a year. The sales associates at this location seem to always be missing when you have a question or need them to get something that you can't reach. I have even gone over to the tire department multiple times to get prices for snow tires and no one was to be found. The seafood, meat and produce seem to always be fresh and are fully stocked. The fresh flowers are usually fresh and last over a week however the last dozen I bought died only after a few days. Even the hot food area where they offer pizza, hot dogs and hot sausages never seems to be fully stock as there are always people in line for food. If you go on Saturday's or Sunday's they are always giving out free food samples of some of the tasty products they offer. This store is being run horrible, the store reps are rude, if you order online they give you a time for pickup so they can control flow, problem is they let walk in shoppers get first pick eventhough you shopped online and confirmed payment then they assign a pickup time, if you think you purchased groceries and other household items, you get there and they dont botherto get your order, it's a bait and switch, promise one thing and show something different, horrible staff from management down, horrible work ethics, I wish a Costco would open up in the Monroeville area, I've traveled to Greensburg to get orders I placed online and never have I gotten attitude from Management and staff, I paid for the premium membership, Monroeville Sam's won't do birthday cakes if you don't order them a month in advance, Greensburg will do a cake order the same day because they care about their costumers read more

So if you're hungry on a Saturday morning and don't feel like buying brunch, just stop in at this Sam's. They have a plethora of sample stands set up where you can try almost anything from grapes, to cheese, to chicken, to smoothies. Sometimes the ladies working the stands can get stingy, which is actually kind of cute. My husband and I have jokingly started referring to this experience as "Sam's Saturdays". Besides that, there is always someone willing to help you out, if needed. And you can't beat the deals....I bought a really nice brand name winter coat from there awhile back for only $16. Sometimes the crowd can get kind of crazy, especially on a weekend, but if you stop in during the afternoon on a week day, it's usually pretty dead. I usually buy our lunch prep for the week at Sam's. A package of chicken tenderloins usually costs me no more than $12 and lasts a week and a half. They also have gigantic bags of vegetables, and 2 of these bags will last about 2 weeks for 2 people. Parking is plentiful, and there's a gas station off to the side for members (which I've actually never taken advantage of). There are 2 (and a half) things I don't particularly like about Sam's in general. One is, I can't use my Visa card here. I didn't find this out until one day, when my buggy was full of welcome bag favors for my wedding. I checked out and became aware of this....I was pretty upset at the time, so I wish there was some notification of this beforehand. Second, I just think the whole membership idea is silly. I pay $40/year to shop between the hours of 10-8. However, the majority of my shopping happens before 10am and after 8pm. I think it's silly to enforce hours like this. I'm paying you MONEY to shop in your store...let me in when I need in! This is just a personal opinion, as I'm sure it doesn't bother anyone else as much. Also, I would love it if they offered more organic options (the half point). 3 1/2 stars. I had a really really bad experience here a few months ago....I ordered a TON of bottled waters online.....under the impression they would load them in my car (according to an employee)......I show up......was directed to a huge cart and told "Now you get to have fun putting it in your vehicle !"......as the employee walked away......I about killed myself getting it all in my truck....spent 3 days on couch with agonizing back pain....a manager gave me a 50 dollar giftcard for my trouble......TONIGHT, I returned for the first time since, looked around, used the card to get 50 bucks in groceries.....and left.......for the last time......I'm not returning to this place......and not renewing my membership.....I'm just not impressed with this place....for alot of reasons.... read more

With BIG and CHEAP on my mind, I went to Sam's to do some shopping. What better way to get some cheap socks and a new cheap sweater. Yeah, they are not much to look at, but at least I will fit in with the local crowd and, more importantly, I will start to be warm again. All of the clothes I have are made with Florida in mind and are quite breezy in the cold weather. SAM'S BONUS: I will never go out of my way to just get pizza at Sam's, but if there is a fresh cheese or pepperoni pizza that is hot out of the oven, I WILL get a slice. I love me some big box stores, so Sam's is a go to for me. I like this store because it's close to my house and convenient. I feel like they are constantly changing the products they carry and where the products are located. It's somewhat confusing, but not that big of a deal. Prices are good for most stuff. Employees are helpful. My one real complaint is the quality/longevity of their produce. It doesn't last, in some case, more than a few days. Too often it's already going bad when I buy it and I couldn't see it in the packaging. And when you've got "bulk" peppers or onions, or any fresh produce, it needs to last more than that. Well our entire experience was hassle free to say the least. We are premium members so it was great to get in early when it was not crowded, however the employees apparently need caffeine. I have seen more reactions and faster speeds from a moderately sedated sloth. Oh yeah, and when you utilize the scan n go app, hope and pray the individual at the exit is more friendly than the woman this morning. I have to say that I have seen better customer service from a 5 year old with a lemonade stand. Individuals who cannot be civil and cordial do not belong on the front service line. Furthermore, if someone dislikes their job that much, it is time to move on. I have to say that most individuals usually are upbeat, smiling, and interacting, but today I am thoroughly disappointed In our experience. A customer spends several thousands of dollars per year and to be treated in such a mundane manner is unacceptable. May consider a competitor to this institution. I hope someone delivers a few happy meals to the current employees, especially before the loving and happy holiday season peaks. read more

They dont accept anything but visa/debit cards or their own sams club credit card. After being a customer for years i hit a financial tight spot and didnt have a debit card available, i was in line to pay for my groceries but i needed to use a credit card (it must not have been a visa but some other commonly used card). They wouldnt accept it and made me go to customer service to apply for one of their sams club credit cards which had an insanely high apr. Needless to say i quickly canceled my credit card with them and my membership altogether. They are a giant corporation and can afford to accept all major credit cards. They are so greedy they decided it would benefit them more to deny most major forms of payment so that people are forced to use their credit card. Im Disgusted and will never ever shop there again. read more

Nice Sam's Club. They usually keep all items stocked. I have only had a very few occasions where they were out of an item, or it was there, but in a pallet on the shelf. Prices are very competitive with other places in Pittsburgh. The Greensburg Sam's Club is always more expensive than this one is. They once told me it's because they're not competing with Costco in Greensburg. Everyone here is very friendly. I go here once a week, and the manager always says hi to me if he sees me, and most of the cashiers know me and are always very friendly. read more
