Avoid getting work done with Miquel . My sister has been doing business with him for about two years so she felt comfortable to send him $800 for the full amount of a cover up. After the first session she noticed her arm being swollen more than usual and her skin had yellow scabbing.... She expressed her concerns to Miquel about a possible infection and he didn't respond . My sister decided not to proceed with the whole cover up and that she'll just get the whole thing removed so she sent him a text about her decision and he said he said he is unable to give a partial refund for the work he already did. I was fed up with his nagging and after driving all the way to East Oakland to find our regular artist closed I was done. Fortunately, my son was not. He jumped on YELP and found this place. Not checking your messages for a potential lead for more business and then hitting them up 15 minutes before the appointment to say sorry we are closed today for a party is mad unprofessional. He obviously did not respect my time and that is why I would not do business with your shop again. I had plans to get a lot of work done too. We dealt with both Randy and Bounce (Miguel). I had made an appointment, via text, with Bounce. He texted a bit ahead of my appointment to say he was running behind but I didn't see text until I had already arrived. Bounce said we could wait or have one of the other artists do our tats. We were lucky that Randy was available. I had family members who loved Randy's work (and attitude) so we chose to have him do our tattoos. Randy was patient working with us to get the images as we wanted them before starting. The actual tattoos took no time at all and came out perfectly. I have had 2 lobe piercings and a cartilage done here and they are wonderful. The piercer was a total pro and I barely felt any pain. They did a great job explaining the aftercare to me, and patiently answered questions on the phone a few days later.
