The peanut dipping sauce was delicious also! So there's that. On to the main, the lemongrass chicken. It should have been called sauteed bell pepper and onions with white rice. The chicken was finely chopped for the most part and I left hungry. All this was 40.00 with a tip and again it was not the standard Viet Huong used to have with hearty meals that constantly made a nice leftover lunch for me. They have gotten stingy on their protein at least in the lemongrass. I noticed it last time I came here and chocked it up to being an off night. Well it's apparantly the new norn. This is one of mybdwarrst friend/Sorority Sister's favorite places to eat as she typically gets their Pho. I'll go back if I get to enjoy her company, I just don't plan to visit solo again. It's too expensive to get awful "wine" and skimpy proteins. The last next to me was another soko diner and complained about her (I think) vegan or vegetarian meal she called in advance about and then showed up and it wasn't available per her request. That's value to me, for the price of what fast food places nearly cost and getting a legit full meal that is worlds better than some greasy fast food is another sign to me that there is something special here. The staff was friendly, prompt, and courteous. It may look like a hole in the wall or not overly fancy... because it is not. It is clean, well kept, and has decor that matches the theme. It's not trying to be something that it isn't. The focus is on the food and ensuring people enjoy the food and experience if you are dining in. I will be back. I will get the Pad Thai again.
