The miso soup was good. I could taste the dashi and like most places the soup was thinned down but consumable. 4/5 The chicken with udon noodles was good. The udon noodles were overcooked to me. 4/5 The prime rib with mixed vegetables was good. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, attentive, and perfectly timed throughout the entire evening. I absolutely love the vibe of this place. My salad was very yummy! I got it with a vinaigrette that was bright, punchy, and was a perfect match to the sweet and sour fruits in the salad. Two large multigrain crackers added some yummy crunch. There was one piece of orange that tasted a little off and a few bites heavy on the crumbled feta, but overall I really enjoyed the salad and would order it again. I also liked that you could order it in a small or large portion. Husband and I also enjoyed the iced brownie for dessert later that evening. At the bar, they take your order. Staff is extra friendly and they do a great job of checking on you and keeping your drink full. I ordered a chicken Philly. Their Ruben must be extra good because several people have ordered it. The fruit I had with mine was very fresh and good. Don't miss Payne's if you're near the area. You won't regret it.
