Found this place on a whim and was surprised by the good reviews because we had a pretty negative experience. First, we ordered fresh shrimp rolls, but they brought us egg rolls instead. She even checked with us again because she forgot, and I repeatedly mentioned shrimp. But we decided to just eat them since we had already waited so long, even though we were the only new customers and the other two tables were already eating. The egg rolls were extremely greasy, had very little flavor, and barely any filling -- basically just fried rice paper. * I ordered pho with brisket and rare steak, but only got brisket. Again, I had clearly ordered the combo. After a couple spoonfuls, I suddenly felt very sick and nauseous and couldn't eat it. When I mentioned it to the staff, they suggested maybe it was "too spicy" or that I "didn't like the shrimp paste taste." I've been eating all kinds of pho for over 30+ years, so that definitely wasn't the issue. Also, the broth lacked depth and flavor and the color of the meat was weird - like grayish blue? (see photo). * They also never brought bean sprouts or the usual pho garnishes to our table, so I assumed they just didn't serve them. But every table seated after us received them with their pho. * The pork banh mi was just okay. The pickled radish was way too sweet, and there was no cilantro. * FYI: they do not provide cilantro. The place got busy with four more tables with 2+ people and the server seemed new, but service was very disorganized overall. Food took so long and we never even got a refill on our tea. This place was right around the corner from our hotel. We ordered the steak pho, beef with rice and spring roll. The food was excellent. We were greeted as soon as we entered and were allowed to seat ourselves. Hot tea was brought out quickly and our order was taken when we were ready. The restaurant was clean, orderly and was decorated nicely. Very comfortable environment to enjoy our meal. Have had many Vietnamese meals and this place is top notch. read more

There was a good amount of meat (no tendon or tripe included), but I found the broth lacked depth and didn't really have the sweet-savoury-umami notes of a good stewed-in-house-for-hours pho broth. Was looking forward to this relatively new Pho shop in Tsawwassen, if I am not mistaken this may be one of the only 2 Vietnamese restaurant in town. First impression from the reviews & the photos may have given me high hopes, but alas the reality does not match my expectations! Broth ... one dimensional, lack depth & other elements ( sweetness from onion, vegetables and other herbs & spice ) that make a great Pho ... here you can only taste "salt" in the broth. Maybe we picked the wrong night to come, as it was 33C outside but upon entry into the restaurant, we were surprised that there were no A/C but maybe there is a fan somewhere? We were wrong, since we specifically drove here to try this restaurant, we decided to stay, but after my bowl of Pho, it was like coming out of a sauna! David, Khirmer, and Christine are extremely accommodating. They know how to handle their customers well. The giant wooden tables brought from Vietnam are amazing. The decor is clean and bright. I like this style of dining. They started during COVID and survived, no doubt because of their great food. I am used to South Vietnamese flavour pho, so at first, not being used to the North Vietnamese style pho, I was hesitant. Now, after trying their pho several times, I like it just as much. I also like the spring rolls fried in rice paper. I tried the sate beef banh mi for the first time and was not disappointed. I could only eat half because it was too much food. Don't tell the owners, but their prices are stuck in 2023. Vancouver and Richmond Pho restaurants are more expensive. This location has seen a series of restaurants that don't last much more than a year or two. The first restaurant in this location, when I came to live in South Delta, was the Mandarin. Having just relocated from Hong Kong, I was happy to see a regional style Chinese restaurant so close to my home. I did a takeout order. I should have been warned when the owner told me they had no Mandarin/Beijing items. I ordered soup and noodles. The soup was like dishwater, and the noodles were not good. Years later, a Thai restaurant started up in the location. The owners were a Thai lady married to a Canadian man. She worked the front, and he worked the kitchen. The food was pricey and just so-so. We never went back. I am glad to see a quality Asian restaurant in our town. I think that they have the right people and the flavourful foods to make this a lasting success. read more

After spending 6 hours waiting for a ferry this was the meal we were looking forward to and it did not disappoint! The noodles were fresh and condiments were all homemade. The chili oil was spicy for those who really enjoy heat, and the pickled vegetables change the entire soup! Will definitely return, the owner is an awesome guy! read more

We stopped by here for lunch as we were shopping in the area. We were seated right away and menus dropped off. We ordered the house combo special noodles, the Hanoi styles grilled pork noodles, an order of spring rolls and an iced Vietnamese coffee. Food arrived fairly quickly because we were the only customers at the time. The spring rolls were amazing. It was crispy with a filling made of pork, vermicelli, wood ear and carrots. The spring rolls were made with rice wrapper which is what I prefer for spring rolls over the wheat wrapper. The pho was alright. It did not have tendon or tripe. I think it is to cater to the customers in the area. The broth was not greasy and had a strong star anise flavour compared to other broths I have tried. There was a decent amount of noodles and beef toppings. The beef ball was cut in slices so there was only one whole beef ball in the pho. I would have liked two beef balls. Interestingly, the pho garnish was only basil and bean sprouts. There were no lemon/lime wedges or chilli slices found at many other Vietnamese restaurants. I am not sure if those options are available if we had asked. The Hanoi styles grilled pork noodles was an interesting dish. I have not seen this at many restaurants. The pork was nicely marinated with a sweet and savoury sauce. I would recommend coming here to order the spring rolls and the grilled pork noodles because they are the more interesting options to try. Restaurant ambiance is nice. I like the brick wall and wood tables. The restaurant looked clean. Staff wore face masks. Credit card payment accepted. There is parking located in front of the restaurant. read more

This is an excellent restaurant and one of the best Vietnamese restaurants we've been to in the Delta Surrey area. it's got lovely high ceilings for these covid-19 times with good air circulation and they observe the social distancing as well. They do take out s well but mostly they serve delicious food with a wonderful owner who is also a mechanical engineer and who serves as host with every care for detail, food quality and service you would want. This is our third time visiting this restaurant in tsawwassen and it certainly won't be our last. Highly recommended. read more

Hidden Gem tucked around the corner..was craving a little pho and this popped up. Typical Vietnamese fare.. with a few stand outs. Their spring rolls are made with a nice and crispy skin thats thin, so the filling really stands out. The bread on their bahn mi sandwiches are excellent..crispy on the outside but doesnt disintegrate and fall everywhere when you take a bite..if you know bahn mi, then you know what i'm talking about! i could have used a few jalpenos to give a bit more kick of flavour. Unfortunately, that this place opened just as Covid hit.. but the staff is nice and it looks like the word is slowly getting out. Pho was delicious. The pork noodle was just like in Hanoi (yes, I've actually been). The decor was so nice! The table and chairs are actually from Vietnam (owner told me). My first impression was that the restaurant is very stingy with toppings with online orders since my noodles came with 2/3 of a meatball and around 6-7 thinly sliced pieces of meat. I did not receive many bean sprouts either and the broth was pretty forgettable. Although I cannot speak for in person dining, if you have a choice, do not order from this place online. read more
