We come here when we are in the area. They have pretty solid pho. We visited today after a bit of Boxing Day shopping and noticed they put a notice out for price increase. It is understandable with the increasing food prices. It wouldn't deter us from coming here :) $15-$16 a bowl is still cheaper than some pho places. I noticed that they changed their interior a bit. They put in more big round tables. As usual, we ordered their special pho that comes with everything! The brisket is braised and it's so good. The broth has nice deep flavor. The portion size is decent. I couldn't finished it myself. If they start serving bahnmi as well, that would be more than perfect. read more

We wanted to try a different pho place than our usual and stumbled upon this place thanks to Yelp I would actually rate it 3.5 stars for food, but I bumped it to 4 because we were seated right away, the restaurant itself had lots of tables, and lots of free parking in the complex. We ordered the house special pho and Minh's salad roll (which was a combo of a salad and spring roll). All were delicious but our usual pho spot was still better tasting (pho wise). The place wasn't super busy that evening but there seemed to be a steady stream of takeouts being ordered and picked up. read more

I've had Little Minh's bookmarked for ages. Finally made the drive out to try them for dinner. They're located in Market Crossing next to a Chicko Chicken branch. Interesting that the owner also runs Pho Den. We dropped in on a Sunday evening (around 8:00pm). Service was attentive and the waitresses came by half a dozen times to see if we needed water refills. The menu consists of appetizers, bone broth, combos, back to basics and desserts. - Sate ($16.00) - the better of the two soups that we ordered. However, the broth wasn't creamy or rich. Flavours were very subdued and watered down. The best thing was the sautéed beef, which was plentiful. - Bun bo hue ($15.50) - broth was lacklustre and lacked complexity. The best of the meats was the four handmade pork balls. The pork was unfortunately dry. The bowl comes with a larger than normal amount of broth but not enough noodles. Wasn't fully satisfied. Being one of their speciality, the BBH was disappointing. - Vermicelli combo ($19.00) - J went with the grilled chicken, pork and spring roll (option #4) and coconut milk tea. Drink was too sweet; he couldn't force himself to finish it. No urge to come back to Little Minh's. So many other satisfying BBH and sate options elsewhere. read more

The place is bigger than than we thought as from the outside, it looked smaller. It is bright and clean inside. We ordered the house special beef noodle and the vermicelli combo. The bowls were big ( bigger than other Vietnamese places ) so we were glad that we didn't order an appetizer too. The house special was flavorful as the broth was rich, yet not so much that you feel like you need a ton of water after. The vermicelli was fresh, and they provide you with big pieces. This is an update to my last review. Time seems to have stood still here. Prices haven't changed much so is the portion. Service is still alright. Covid measures are fully accounted for. I do appreciate they installing dividers between tables. I am knocking a star for lack of cleanliness and waitress hurrying our dining by prematurely giving us the bill, even though the restaurant was half empty. I am still quite puzzled and not very pleased by the fact the restaurant can charge a different price than what was stated on the menu. When asked, the staff said that were the new prices on the bill and just nodded when I said the prices on the QR menu did not reflect the new prices. Are they allowed to do that? It seemed quite arbitrary then, if a restaurant can just charge any amount and said it is the new price. I checked the menu online again and it showed the QR menu prices. Frankly I feel quite cheated and it is leaving a sour taste in my mouth. Anyway, I doubt I will be back after this incident. Quite unfortunate. The food is generally good and the service too. But for this unexpected increased prices which are not shown on the menu (see pics) and I am expected to pay that, they have lost me as a customer. Little Minh's has such friendly service with the staff armed with smiles, giving plenty of drink refills, and prompt service. I haven't dined out in awhile due to the Omicron variant so decided to order directly online from Little Minh's website. Ordering was easy and I decided to order a build-your-own vermicelli bowl. You get to pick 3 toppings (i.e. lemongrass chicken, pork patty, fried egg, spring roll, etc.) for $16.50. Ordering online, you also get a free spring roll so I was super excited. My food was ready and packaged near the front entrance with my name on it. This was appreciated as I try not to step into any restaurant more than I need to. The amount was perfect for one hungry meal and I was satisfied, especially with an extra spring roll. Definitely recommend trying out this local joint and I will definitely be going every so often! read more

We actually saw this place open, that was about 2 yrs. ago ( if I remember correctly ) but we were just heading back to Hong Kong then, so we left it to now! Great food & very friendly & helpful staff ... which makes Little Minh's every bit a solid Vietnamese restaurant in today's ultra competitive market! Highlight items: Hu Tieu ... ( this is a Viet, Chinese, Cambodian favourite ) and if you want something different then Pho, this will satisfy your craving for something soupy, they come in dry form too as a "toss" noodles, depending on what you feel like, the both is very light ( made from Pork / Chicken bone instead of Beef ) but still full of umami. This time around I ordered their wide egg noodles, but next time I will substitute with regular Pho. Banh Mi ... wow! bread is extra fresh & crusty, and the filling was just right, its a great meal in itself if you want something not too heavy, perfect for someone on the go! Was in the area for work and based on searching for lunch options nearby, this was one of very few options that popped up. My co-worker & I both ordered the shrimp vermicelli bowl and it was so flavorful. I come pretty often for both dine in and take out, so this time I decided to try some items I don't usually order: Minh's Roll: this is super fun and unique, it's basically a salad roll with a deep friend spring roll on the inside. There also some prawns wrapped into the bánh tráng (rice paper wrap). By itself, there isn't much flavour, so you'll have to dip it into the sauce, which tastes like a house made version of oyster/hoisin sauce. Chicken Wings (Taste of Vietnam): I really liked these ! 10/10 would recommend. It has a subtle and has a fish sauce for flavour. Sautéed Shrimp (Vermicelli): prawns are peeled already, you're welcome. Flavourful and deep fried, in a stick sweet & savoury sauce. Beef Short Ribs (Rice): It's tender and flavourful - great portions too. Cafe Sua Dua (Coconut & Coffee): The caffeine was ultra-STRONG, and I'm a regular one-cup-per-day coffee drinker. I had it at around 5pm and didn't sleep until 3am, but it's soo creamy and tasty. I'd recommend drinking it earlier in the day haha. So much good stuff here! Some of the freshest, best tasting Vietnamese food in Metro Vancouver. I'm kicking myself for not checking out this place earlier since I drive by all the time, and it has become one of my go-to Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Little Minh's is located on the Market Crossing side facing Save-On-Foods. I love that the restaurant exudes cleanliness. First impressions of the interior were clean and tidy. Tables are properly spaced and thoroughly sanitized after each set of diners leave. The kitchen and bar area are well organized. All of this gives me confidence, not just for the current COVID prevention, but also in their food preparation and safe handling practices. Service has been extremely friendly and attentive during our visits. All of the ingredients are high quality and fresh; each dish is made with care. We pretty much have tried every item on their current menu at this point and not one dish has disappointed. Granted, the current menu isn't super vast, but there are still a decent number of items on it ... and we've liked every one so far! How is that even possible?? I don't think I've been to an actual restaurant yet where they're batting a thousand with their menu items, but Little Minh's sure is getting mighty close... The spring rolls are fried perfectly with a tasty filling; wings and tiger prawns are also fried well. Create-your-own rice/vermicelli combo plates allow you to hit all of your current cravings. I'm not usually a big fan of sate noodle soup, but it's one of my favorites here. Their version has a wonderful intense flavour with a spicy kick, and like their pho, comes with raw beef slices that you cook to your liking in the broth. Looks like the reason I wasn't a fan of sate soup before was because I just hadn't tried a good version until Little Minh's. I brought my family here for lunch on Sunday. The restaurant and the washrooms were very clean. Ordering can be ordered by scanning QR code and adding items into a shopping cart. Free spring rolls only if you order by QR code. Not applicable by ordering person. Their tea was quite tasty. Noodles are around $14- $15 per bowl and it comes as one size. We ordered 2 Bun Bo Hue ($14.25), Pho Sate ($15) and Salad Roll (pork and shrimp $4.25). Noodles came in a huge bowl. Bun Bo Hue was great nothing special. Soup was kind of sweet. Pho Sate was good, it felt like a mix of Dan Dan noodle and Beef Pho. It was little spicy and nutty. The bill could go up to $60 for 4 people. I didn't think it was worth the price tag. I was told to try their pho sate. I tried it AND I LOVED IT. Rich, creamy, peanut buttery... and the perfect amount of spiciness to the broth! I'm not a pho sate expert, but I've had it before and this one was just another level above my previous experience elsewhere. The noodles were cooked very well with that little bit of chewiness and bounce that I like. Little Minh's at Big Bend gets busy during the day as a lunch spot from all the offices in the surrounding area, so it ends up being a good spot to grab dinner when it's more calm. The service was superb and attentive. Until I find another place that outdoes Little Minh's, they are the Pho Sate Kings to me. :) read more

It was one of those moments, when you are around the neighbourhood and are looking for something to eat and you count on the Yelp app on your phone to guide you the way, and it led us here. Would I think there would be a place like this in this plaza, nope, was I skeptical, by all means "YES", was I led by hunger, most definitely, what do I have to lose, especially since the many reviews are from people I personally know, so in we entered. From the outside this place looks very Canadianized, and totally understandable, it is in a plaza that houses a Save-On-Foods and London Drugs, not like the more Vietnamese-centric restaurants I am used to going to in places like Victoria Drive. The place inside is spacious, as it did not feel busy, even though at the time of eating there were 5 tables sitting while we were there. We were greeted right away, and while sitting I noticed a tv that continued to show other people instagramming this place, and all the wonderful food they have had (their social media game seems to be on point). Their menu was pretty good, it had many of the usual suspects for anyone who is craving the Vietnamese noodles, or special noodles like Bun Bo Hue, it is there, Lemongrass chicken on rice, sandwich's, even vegetarian items, go check it out, it is vast and if you are with someone else, it should satisfy many wants. We proceeded in ordering a bowl of 'Minh's Specialty', traditional banh mi, and a shaved ice (the nomnomnivore needed her sweets). We ordered a large, to share, and this thing was massive, and they do not go stingy on the meat, there was a lot, and a lot of variety with this order, everything from: Rare Beef, Brisket, Flank, Tripe, Tendon, and Beef Balls it was all in there. The noodle ratio was good, I wouldn't have minded a bit more noodle to meat though, yet it was well done. The soup base had great flavour, a hint of sweetness, and had a homeyness to it... it was clean. We kept passing the bowl back and forth and it felt like nothing was disappearing, as I did mention this was a big bowl. Would order again, and would try other things. The banh mi was next, and the bread ratio was just right, not too much on the carbs and a generous serving of meat and pickled vegetables inside, a good complimentary meal to the hot bowl of soupy noodles we were having. A surprise for me was the shaved ice dessert, as we requested this to be served at the same time as all of our food. The mixture of pandan jelly, and coconut jelly was a delight, and I do not remember too many Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver that serve this. It was a pleasant meal, and if I am ever around Market Crossing and wanting a good place with good food, I will be thinking of this, and to dive into their menu some more. Good food and great service! We popped in for lunch today. I'm going meatless for a few days so I'm glad they had alot of vegetarian options! I had the vegetarian pho and changed the soup to spicy for an extra $1. (Note: the spicy broth is beef based). I also ordered the vegetarian spring rolls, crispy and not oily just the way I like them. My teenager ordered the wings and fried tofu, she gave them a 4* and my younger daughter has the kids beef pho. Noodles + beef balls, she's a picky eater and I usually cook pho at home so she's always biased. She gave it a thumbs up. My favorite part was the service, so friendly and very efficient. Solid vegetarian (vegan) pho option, but nothing mind-blowing. I stopped in for lunch during the week and got their vegetarian pho ($14 plus tax). The soup came out in under 10 minutes. You get a massive bowl of soup, with plenty of thin rice noodles, deep fried tofu, broccoli, cabbage, and a bit of carrot and onion, along with the usual garnishes (basil, bean sprouts, jalapeno). The broth is on the bland side, not all that salty, but rather oily. It's amped up nicely if you add their homemade chili oil (you have to ask for it). All in all, solid veggie pho, but not one of the top spots in Greater Van. I'd be happy to eat here again if I'm in the area, but I wouldn't make a special trip. read more

Take out is generally packed well in separate containers so they won't topple during travel. There'd a rack near the front so you don't need to go into the restaurant proper to pick up your order Personal favorites include: the Minh Roll - a vietnamese spring roll (summer/salad roll to some) with a fried spring roll wrapped inside. The combination of textures and flavours is incredible and I can't stop here without getting one Pho Sate: a creamy, spicy, rich peanut-y broth topped with noodles, rare beef and fresh herbs. This is my go-to on a rainy day. Bun Bo Hue: one of the best in the GVA. The broth manages to be both rich and refreshing at the same time while packing enough of a spicy punch to remain faithful to the dish. Great prices for great food, we got a huge order of take out from here and were more than stuffed with leftovers too! They have plenty of little fried snacks including fried wontons, shrimp balls, popcorn chicken and chicken wings which we ordered ALL of. They were nice and crispy and well enjoyed by my family. The Minh's roll is a creative take on a spring roll and salad roll hybrid making it a very pleasurable mix of textures. The BANH MI IS AMAZING, ONE OF MY FAVOURITES with plenty of grilled chicken, pickled veggies all on toasty bread :) The large pho noodles were indeed very large. With a mountain of noodles and plenty of protein to go along with it, we were very pleased with this bowl of hot soupy goodness. I really enjoyed their dry mixed egg noodles too as the noodles were well sauced and again, there was a lot of protein on top (although this was not very flavourful, the noodles went well with it.) Finally, we got the beef short ribs AND a make your own rice which we hardly touched because of all the food. The meat on top of all of the rice was cooked well and tasty but nothing that stands out too much about these dishes. Overall, a wonderful place for some delicious vietnamese food. My husband and I came here for dinner. It is located in a big complex of other big chains in south side of Burnaby. We actually had to drive here purposely when we wanted to try their food. We ordered a bowl of Minh's specialty, traditional salad roll and a bowl of bun bo hue. All of them had good quality and they tasted great! The portion of food and pricing were reasonable. I personally did not have any critics about anything about this restaurant. I literally just sat there and enjoyed the food. The customer service was fine. I would not say it was extraordinary, but we could get water/tea and food in a timely manner. The most important was the food. Everything passed my standards, so I would like to give this restaurant 5 stars. If you are in the neighbourhood and if you are craving for pho, you should come here and give it a try. Little Minh's provides a decent pho, about what can be expected from a restaurant setting. The broth has flavour, but is slightly lacking. The noodles are the typical thin rice noodle, and the beef is tasty but not of the highest quality. The price is fair, nothing amazing. The things that are done right however are: 1. The portions are sized well. No excess amount of noodles that you see at so many other pho restaurants which is nice because you can actually finish a bowl for once. 2. The service is fast. Took about 2 minutes for them to take my order once I was sat down, and less than 5 minutes to bring out my bowl. In total I probably went from sitting down to paying in about 10-15 minutes which is exactly what I want when in a rush. Overall, while Little Minh's doesn't provide exception quality or value. It's deserves a solid rating as a quick stop whenever you're feeling pho in a rush. read more

Had the pho sate here the other day. Saturday night 7pm wasn't jam packed but somewhat busy. Decor is minimal modern and casual. This place used to be a Japanese restaurant but this isn't so obvious. I should have ordered just a regular pho just to compare every other pho place I've been but their menu is slightly unusual (*1) so I decided to order something alike. The soup was top notch, just ever so slightly too salty, but the noodle texture is very good - I mean it has texture where as most places it's just the same soft consistency. The beef topping was superb! Both in flavour and texture. One can tell it's top notch beef. I used to live in Japan so am used to good quality beef. The only demerit to Little Minh's would be the pricing. $16 for a bowl of pho is nearly unheard of. Their range for pho is 14-16 while everywhere else that's normal/casual dine in is priced at 11-12.50 with specialties at 14. And I notice this pho sate was also priced at 14$ a while back. Anyway I'll be back to try their standard dishes for a "standard" comparison. *1 Lemongrass chicken with rice isn't on their menu but maybe it can be made under "make your own rice"? read more

Super fast service and really tasty Vietnamese food. We ordered the lemongrass chicken in bone soup for the kids to share and they loved it, they even brought us extra bowls and scissors! I ordered the special with everything which had generous portions of meat and noodle and awesome flavor. My partner ordered the vegetarian soup with noodle and it was pretty tasty too, the chef noticed that the soup was a little low and have us extra on the side. We will definitely be coming back! read more

They got benched. The coach decided no more MVP and they're not getting any ice time, so they're riding the pine. On a more serious note, they had to change their name. That's what they told me. Apparently, the landlord made them do it, so they had to change their name. That's too bad. MVP had a nice ring to it. Little Minh doesn't do it justice. The menu still makes reference to MVP. So goooood! Mon (or Ma) Vraiment Pho - paying homage to the French colonial past. The new wave of Viet joints are definitely getting a modern update. Gone are the tacky hole in the wall looks and decor. In are the modernistic interior designs. Mangez ici. That's all I can say. See my pics. read more
