Pho is Europe doesn't seem to come with tripe, tendons, and/or meatballs. I think the beef was medium rare when it came out of the kitchen as it was closer to medium well and well done by the time it was on my table. Only difference from the Vietnamese restaurants in US is that in US we get a tray of veggies to add to your pho (extra sprouts, lettuce, mint leaves, cilantro, lime and sliced jalapeños). Then we waited an hour for the next courses and had to remind the waitress that others arrived after us, were served and finished. The final dishes came which were good or very good. Lemongrass grilled pork and cucumber salad - okay but better in Paris. Banana leaf duck, very good. Caramelized catfish (basa) very good but had better in California. Even though the restaurant was emptying out, we could not get refills on drinks. 3 of us are African American, one white. Seemed that the black folks were ignored. I had to think that's the reason for the poor service. After complaining, and we rarely complain, they did offer a 10% discount. I got the Original (stewed pork Xa Xiu, homemade pate, pickled carrot and daikon, fresh cucumber, homemade mayonnaise, coriander). It was actually pretty good, and definitely better than what I was expecting. The pork was a little too salty but overall, it was exactly what I was looking for at the time.
