The number indicates the pieces per serve. I wasn't particularly hungry and this was enough food for me. The wings were generously sized, Vietnamese style (dry not smothered in sauce). They were tasty, but I wouldn't order them again. The Bao were DIY style with pickled carrot and zucchini and mayo/hoisin or siracha sauce for your choice of toppings. The chicken was super tender, crunchy and juicy- I would totally order this again, and I was glad I didn't have to share it with others! Two was the perfect amount. Lastly I had the fish bahn mi with mayo and dill. While it was a cute and satisfying size, I wasn't a huge fan of the combination. Traditionally Bahn Mi is bbq pork or chicken, and I was intrigued that Uncle offered fish, tofu or crispy pig ear. I think I should have picked the crispy pig ear because it was the favourite nibble of the night according to everyone else who had it. I would totally go back to Uncle and try different options, family style in particular to try even more variety of plates and flavours.

I have a vague idea of how they ought to taste and was happy with what I tried. Prices are as low as the froth on the Teh Tarik is high. I'd definitely go again. I don't care that it is cramped, I don't care that the decor didn't cost a squillion and that there are no hipsters sitting on milk crates there. I don't care that you order at the counter. I came, ordered $22 worth of sustenance for two, and paid $5.50 per hour to use a parking meter. I left fully sated. Try it!

The laksa was not bad and there was A LOT in it so left me pretty stuffed. The restaurant was very busy so expect to wait/share tables. Service was a bit slow and we had to ask a few times for our food. Overall thought I have great respect for places trying to bring out new unique dishes for us to try!

The ribs were cooked perfectly, it was moist, flavoursome, perfect quantity of spices and rice. The Barramundi was also cooked to perfection. The most surprising part of this restaurant is how cheap the food was, which makes perfect sense for those price conscious and their main customers, university student while at the same time not being cheap ( I hope you know what I mean). The most expensive thing that we had was the very underpriced "whole Barramundi" for less than $13. Enjoy. CHEAP But not in a cheap way.

If you're a little bit hard of hearing, I recommend that you try and go when the place is a little less busy, or go with someone you don't really want to listen to. For dessert I had the apple berry crumble which was served in a jam jar with cream! It was fantastic! Quite tart so watch out if you don't like tartish desserts.
