So what do you do in Downtown Belleville on a Sunday morning? The answer is, a lot of walking…read morearound until 11:30, when this restaurant opened. I was greeted warmly when I first got in, and was given my choice of tables by the windows. I sat down and was given the menu and left to order. The menu is a mix of Vietnamese (pho) amd Thai (pad thai). They had a lot of pho choices, but I went with shrimp fried rice, because I wanted a soupless lunch. I also got two spring rolls with ground chicken, pork, and shrimp. The spring rolls were amazing. Crispy without being greasy, and a sweet umami flavor. I don't like ground pork when it has that bonus ammonia flavor, but this ground pork was just sweet and tasty. The dipping sauce was maybe a bit of vinegar, a bit of fish sauce, but its slight tanginess complemented the spring rolls wonderfully. The fried rice came very quickly after the spring rolls were served. Yes, they used frozen vegetables. No, I don't care, because the rice and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Smoky wok hay and a hint of spice, and no clumped rice. There was basil on top which I tore up and mixed in, but there was already some basil there as part of the fry. So some basil notes in most of my bites. The place was super clean and bright, with a nice peaceful vibe augmented by the soft music playing. I would definitely return here at any time if I'm in Belleville, not just at 11:30 a.m.

Went here for a family dinner while in town Belleville. They…read moreserve Vietnamese food specifically pho and vermicelli. They have the typical spring roll appetizers too but they don't have rice dishes. The place is clean and the servers were friendly. I ordered the one vermicelli bowl on their menu. Meat is pork. The meat is flavourful and good proportions on the bowl. The sauce isn't as fish saucy for my taste. Overall it's a good Viet spot in the Belleville Brighton.

I probably come here more than any other restaurant in town. I know the food will be reliably good…read more The owner and the other servers are friendly and warm, and they get to know their regulars. It's also easier to park here compared to the parent Saigon Delights establishment downtown. Food highlights at More Saigon Delights include: The pho is very good. It's a toss up between this place and Mekong for the best pho in Kingston. The broth here is lighter and more "plain" and that's not meant to be a criticism. It's a clearer, more refreshing broth in the pho at More Saigon Delights. Mekong pho has a heavier, beefier broth. Mekong's beef is better though -- that's the only place in Kingston where pho is served with rare sliced beef that's still rare when they set the bowl down in front of you. Back to the pho at More Saigon Delights: you will get a lemon to squeeze, and a little dish of sriracha and hoisin for adding to your bowl or for dipping. Other items like cilantro and bean sprouts will already be in your bowl of pho. Some die hard pho aficionados insist on the plate of garnishes; well, you won't find that in Kingston so you'll have to do with this way (already added to the bowl). The rice dishes at More Saigon Delights are all very good too. Excellent level of spice, lots of veggies (if in the dish) and the beef/chicken/pork that's in the dish is usually perfectly prepared. Their fried hu tieu (fried noodles) is good-to-very good. Lastly, their bun is a Kingston favourite. Can't go wrong with the bun cha gio #5 or #6 (with grilled meat) because the cha gio (deep fried spring rolls) are excellent here. I think you aren't likely to walk away from here thinking this was the "best" Vietnamese you've ever had. But, each time you finish eating here, you will walk away thinking "yes, that was really good again"...and the same next time...and again when you're back the next time, and at last you realize why it is you come here more often than other restaurants in town.
