I recently finished the Audio Production Technologies degree at Phoenix College. The program is great and gives you what you need to be an audio engineer. The studio on campus is excellent and really fun to work in. You start out on the Trident console before moving into ProTools. You gain experience using compressors, EQs, microphones, and pre-amps. You'll also get experience mixing and editing in DAWs, live sound techniques, electronic music and sound design. The staff are incredible with real world experience. All right near downtown Phoenix!

well its my school, so I thought what would be better than writing a review for you own school... what could I say about Phoenix College?? The school is pretty small, smaller than the rest of the Maricopa colleges if I'm not mistaken. But there is a reason why I drive across the city to come to this institution, I love the staff and the instructors who are here at PC, they are very well knowledgable at what they are doing. I have been attending here for couple of years now and I just like it here, community colleges offer smaller class and get better interaction with the instructor which is the way I learn best, and they are more than happy to help you with anything you need. Plus is cheaper to get your core classes at a community college. The parking is a little crazy from 9-12, and 4-7, one time I drove around for 40 minutes until I finally found a parking space. One thing I don't like about this school is the citation they give out, They give you a citation if you park reverse/facing the wrong way without any warning or anything at all. Well I guess I learn the hard way. I love the fact that Phoenix College have a parking garage, to those of us who knows the heat well in the valley know that that's a life saver right there... keep your car nice and cool without having to worry about passing out trying to start your car, but you go there during the crazy hours you won't have a chance of finding a parking spot. Overall I am happy with the school and will recommend anyone who are in the area looking to farther their education or anyone who just graduate from high school..

This school silences students voices and many teachers don't respond their emails. I definitely DON'T recommend this school!!! 0-10

Ask the Community - Phoenix College

    Is the track open now?

It is only open on the weekends to the general community. I believe it is open from 5am-7pm, Saturday and Sunday only. Non-students can only enter through the southeast gate. Mon-Friday the track is closed and reserved for the Phoenix College sports…

Is the track open to the public?

Yes it "usually" is. Since March 2020/the Rona, PC's track has been closed. I don't see any signage as to when it's going to reopen but I hope soon!

Where is the football stadium located?

Here's a map to view where our stadium is located in relation to the rest of campus: https://www.phoenixcollege.edu/about/locations

    Is this a credible University

Yes! We are an accredited college! Here's a link to our accreditation: https://www.maricopa.edu/about/accreditation

One of the first things I noticed was how spacious the library feels. Everything looked clean and well maintained, which made it a really comfortable place to settle in and focus. There was actually already a line of people waiting outside for the library to open at 1 PM on Sunday, which says a lot about how popular it is. One feature I thought was especially cool is their seed library, where you can pick up seeds to plant your own plants at home. They also offer the usual cultural passes, which is always a great perk with a library card. Speaking of that, I really liked how unique their library card designs are. I was able to sign up for a card today thanks to a very helpful staff member who made the process quick and easy. Inside, there were plenty of tables and outlets almost everywhere, which made it perfect for getting work done. There is also a free charging center where you can charge devices. Parking was also simple. I parked at the Scottsdale Civic Center Garage, which made access really convenient. Overall, I was very happy with my visit today and will definitely be coming back.

Cons: Furniture and equipment are worn out, it's not that quiet (people talking, eating, playing music), seating and computers are too close together (I don't want to be sitting that close to anyone at the library), people using the study rooms talk so loudly that you can hear their entire conversation in the next room over. Semi-private does NOT mean soundproof! It also smells bad at times, and every time I visit, I catch some guy staring at me as if he's never seen a woman before, which puts me on guard despite security presence. Unfortunately for me, the cons outweigh the pros. And whatever happened to the days when libraries were meant to be quiet? People treat libraries like hang-out spots now and library staff don't even bother to quiet them or uphold a level of respect for people trying to read and study anymore.
