Worst experience with a medical professional in a long time. Go hear if you want to be pressured to…read morebuy over-priced glasses with features you don't need and that actually make your vision worse. I went early when things were just starting to open back up due to COVID.
My first red flag was when Dr. Salaba pulled his assistance aside and I thought he was telling her not to say that eyesight can get better over time. That should have been my red flag that his interest was in selling glasses.
He did an eye exam, where the picture on the screen was never clear, then he recommend extra power in the bottom of my glasses to help with reading, and said the glasses would cost $375. I told him I wasn't comfortable with that price and that I never saw a clear picture. He then got his assistant to come in the room (to just stand there - I don't know why other than high pressure sales tactic).
It was COVID, so I didn't want to go to too many other places, so I trusted him and made the purchase.
When I got the glass, my visions wasn't clear. They told me to wait to for my vision to adjust to the glasses, but blurry vision never went away. After more than a month and 3 visits to their store, I finally got to re-see the optometrist. Again, he never got the picture on the screen to be clear.
I was asking him questions to try to understand why I am still having problem, when after going to previous optometrists, my vision would be fine and even improve over time. He was trying to explain, but could provide answers that made sense. Then, he became dismissive, and "gave in" to re-doing the same prescription without the extra power for reading, even though that wasn't my complaint at that moment.
After heading home, I became upset, because he asked me to trust him and I did, but all I got was continued blurry vision, so I asked for a refund. After, about 4 phone calls going up the ranks, I finally spoke with their "controller." She said she cared about my vision, wanted to help me get the right glasses, wanted to opportunity to give me glasses she thinks would work better, and if they didn't work she would give me my money back. I got the new glasses, and they are even worse than before.
Out of curiosity, I just tried old glasses from a few years back, and wouldn't you know it blurriness gone. At this point, I don't even care about getting my money back, and just don't want others wasting their money and hurting their eyes. I suggest steering clear of this business.
