Im so glad I found them- especially love the indoor arena so you can ride rain or shine and the horses are all healthy, happy and lovely. They also host events from time to time so you can get to know the owners and trainers and other riders which is nice. I just can't say enough good things about this place. It is an animal paradise.

PLS READ THIS THIS WAS HELL , A while back I did there fun horse camp. I was pretty young and…read moreeverything went well first day or so. When the camp days went on the staff was abusing the pony's and just not handling them well she would just have us go get the horses with out any info on them . I didn't get time to ride and all we did was clean out stalls all day long. the owner of this place is right rude she yell at me for leavening behind one of my friends to clean up a stall. keep in mind here I was just going to dump out some horse poop i had in my wheel barrow. She all most made me break down and cry at that moment. she didn't let us take brakes. And also I was not there to work and clean for her i was there for a horse camp. BUT that's not even all she has to many horses she keeps them in their stalls all day long and even has some in the arena while i was riding. when there was only two days left of camp one of her camp members so call over Hurd me talking bad about the camp and the owner. FIRST of all i never talked bad about her around the stable ground. and her staff member told her and the owner yelled at me not a small yell she was scramming. saying i called her the b word. keep in mind I'm like 12 to 9 years old when this happened so i got yell at and broke down crying while she stood there and said stuff to me that was not true. I remember everything...i will never go back there I hope that place shuts down and looses all her horses. she's a devil of a person.

My kids have been in the program since 2020. They're there about twice a week, almost every day off…read morefrom school, and most weeks during summer. This farm camp is so much more than just riding lessons. Kids spend hours learning real horsemanship--caring for the horses, doing groundwork, and understanding what it takes to run a farm. Lisa teaches them everything from horse anatomy and health to tack, equipment, and riding etiquette. They also help take care of the farm's chickens and ducks--looking after broody hens, meeting the chicks when they hatch, and collecting eggs from "their" birds. This program isn't for everyone. If you're looking for a once-a-week class where your child simply shows up, hops on a horse, rides for an hour, and goes home, this isn't that kind of program. It's more of an animal farm lifestyle camp, where kids are given real responsibilities and the freedom to learn through experience. Not all kids may do well with the independence and lack of constant parental supervision, but for those who enjoy hands-on learning and being part of a group it's an incredible opportunity. Do I pay so my kids can clean the horse stall? Yep! And it's worth every penny. Because work ethic, responsibility, and respect for animals (and others) are lessons that go far beyond the barn. But most importantly, my kids (even the teenager) can be just kids at the farm. With all the deadlines and pressure at school and organized sports, the farm is just "simple". Also, where else my kids can witness a tiny bird hatch right in front of them (sometimes on the palm of their hand!) and build a real connection with animals much bigger than themselves through patience, care, and trust.

Lisa's program at Halo Hills has been a transformative addition to our daughter's life…read more Every day our 12-year-old spends at the farm is is a good day. The comprehensive experience of learning to care for and ride horses, combined with the various responsibilities of farm management, has fostered remarkable growth in her character. We've watched her develop greater independence, reliability, work ethic, and both physical and mental resilience, and we couldn't be more proud of who she is becoming. What began as horseback riding lessons has evolved into a formational experience that I now believe every child would benefit from. Lisa has transcended the role of instructor to become a true mentor and significantly positive influence in our daughter's life. Her guidance has helped our daughter flourish in ways that extend far beyond the barn. We feel fortunate to have Halo Hills in our community and wholeheartedly recommend it to parents looking to either introduce their children to horseback riding or to provide them with an environment that naturally builds the confidence, resilience, and life skills that will serve them well in all future endeavors.
