I am almost 70 years old. I know what makes me comfortable. When I tried to get my normal script of 6 inhalers for 3 months, I got 3, and told I am taking it too often, and need to increase the steroid inhaler. Why?! This works, and has been fine, I don't need change from a doctor who's taken over a case where the other Dr. Was okay with the 6 inhalers. At this point, it's not going to fix me, nor am I going to be comfortable. The best part is I was told by the Dr. That he called in the order for 6, but Costco never got it, and Costco even called them and were told.."only 3 inhalers per the Dr." So what gives? I'm now without for entire weekend and have just spent $50.00 for a primatine inhaler which insurance doesn't cover, doesn't work as well as prescribed inhaler. I need a Dr. Who's going to provide, and at this point, I'm ready to look for another office. read more

See the thing is you can't satisfy everyone. you can't make everyone happy, all the doctors can do is their best. We are all humans and we must be understandable when it comes to life and what people are facing. feel for each other. Phoenix Internal Medicine is one of the most professional medical practices. The front office staff process appointments, insurance verifications, and follow-ups. They are the first folks I see when I walk in and I appreciate that they take their work seriously. They coordinate shared tasks seamlessly. I am in my 6th decade and have been seen at this practice for three years. My PA is amazing. In the past, I've had experiences with Drs, PAs, and NPs. I get excellent care from each person in the process at this practice and will go nowhere else. I highly recommend PIM. read more

I first came to Dr. Siri several years ago. Back then, she actually saw patients personally. Now, Dr. Siri's office is full of young, inexperienced PAs, and even students, who have no clue what they're doing. Dr. Siri claims to be "overseeing" these people but I have good reason to believe that is blatantly untrue. I had an appointment with someone named PA Gabrielle Stick on or about December 5. I presented with symptoms of acute renal failure, urosepsis, acute hypokalemia, low blood pressure, pain in my kidney area and unable to keep fluids down for over a week. Ms. Stick should have called an ambulance and sent me to the hospital. Instead, without doing any labs, she sent me home with 7 different medications including antibiotics. I couldn't keep water down let alone those pills. Several hours later, I collapsed on my bedroom floor where I almost died. I was rushed to the hospital where I stayed for 6 days. It took another 3 weeks of bedrest before I could walk around and start doing normal activities. No one from Dr. Siri's office ever called me to follow up. In fact, it seems her office is completely oblivious to the fact that their incompetence may have cost me the full functioning of my kidneys. To add insult to injury, I called Dr. Siri's office to get a refill of a medication I've been on for 30 years. (I normally see another provider. I missed my appointment with that provider because I was in the hospital and was out of that medication.) Instead of getting Dr. Siri, my request was sent to another PA, Reilly Yeager. She refused to refill the prescription to tide me over until my next appointment with the other provider. PCPs all over the country do this exact thing every day for established clients. Dr. Siri did this for years. Unfortunately, these young, inexperienced PAs are not medical doctors. They don't have any idea of the side effects of suddenly stopping certain medications, which is why they shouldn't be making these types of decisions. Dr. Siri should have. If you don't want to be a guinea pig for Dr. Siri's grossly incompetent PAs, find another doctor...a real doctor who will actually see you. Or you can risk your health and life by seeing a 30-year-old who thinks she knows everything. read more

Decades of misdiagnoses, or not diagnosed at all- Dr Punnaiah Marella at first sight meeting, advised me he suspected specific health issues with me (that no other MD dared bring up before...) lab tests ordered, and every single thing Dr Marella suspected showed as Positive in my labs. Brilliant DOCTOR. He is a doctor in the truest sense of the word. Great staff, very polite. I have been a patient of this office for over a year and there are some very smart clinicians working here. Skip the big giant offices with expensive furnishings- instead visit a smart, capable doctor in a small office. read more

Went in for my annual wellness exam, which consisted of the PA taking my blood pressure and listening to my heart and she asked how I was doing. When I reviewed my insurance claims they charged me for my preventive appointment AND an office visit on top of that!! When I asked why, they said because I had a 'health complaint'. The PA simply asked how I had been and I told her and we discussed a medication I am currently taking, that's all!! I have NEVER had a doctor charge me for a separate office visit during any preventive exam in my life! I have also never seen the actual doctor, only PAs and medical students. They also never forward my current insurance info when doing my blood work so I end up getting billed $600 and having to contact the lab to get it fixed. Very disappointed in my experience with them and will NEVER go back. If you go in for a wellness exam DO NOT SAY A SINGLE WORD during your visit otherwise you'll be charged for a separate 'office visit'. BILLING SCAM!! read more

It is clear that this doctor only cares about money, not her patients. There are constant issues with this doctor brushing me off and when I go in for appointments, they last about five minutes. The time I sit waiting in the room for her is longer than she ever spends with me, even for check-ups or direct concerns. After this last situation, I have finally reported her to the Arizona State Medical Board. Here is detailed information about my experience if you would like to know: Dr. Siri refused to resend my normal asthma medication (my RESCUE inhaler, ProAir) and no matter what solution I tried to find, she was full of excuses but would not even directly speak to me. This has been going on for six days now, starting on 7/17/2020, and I am still without my rescue inhaler. Dr. Siri is now holding my prescription for a ransom of $50 and an appointment, which Dr. Siri has made impossible to make.  She is jeopardizing my health for money and this is not what doctors of internal medicine should be doing.  First, her excuse was that she wants to meet with me over the phone, even though I met with her 5 months ago, so it is not even 6 month check-up time. I accepted anyways, but then I received a call from their administration saying I have a balance because of wrong insurance information, so no appointment will be made.  Her next excuse being that I have a bill I need to pay for first, she then requested me to call my insurance to resolve this. I called the insurance company right after this call and handled it, even though it is not my fault they coded it improperly.  Now her excuse is that she still wants me to pay $100 (then she changed it to $50), even after I called my insurance and the insurance said they'll cover it. This whole situation ended with still no rescue inhaler and the staff hanging up on me when I was waiting for Dr. Siri to come to the phone.  I do not need to explain to a doctor or any other asthmatics that they should never have to run out of a rescue inhaler, especially during times of COVID-19 which attacks your lungs, and during monsoon season. It should not be this difficult to receive my rescue inhaler, that I have been using since I was a toddler. This doctor does not care about the health and well being of her patients, I recommend finding another doctor. I hope the board finds a solution for this soon. read more

I was excited when I saw how easy it was to book an appointment online for same day because my normal doctor is fully booked out, but coming in I can see why. You'd assume people at a medical practice would wear masks or even encourage it, but the four girls at the front weren't even trying. Dirty tissues on the counter, huge piles of magazines on the side tables. I have not seen anyone spray anything clean, wipe anything down or even use a drop of hand sanitizer. I've seen dollar stores have better precautions than this place lol After reading the other reviews, I can also agree that this place seems to be very money hungry. So many papers about having to pay up front same day, and papers posted about all these fees you might come by. It's just not a reassuring environment. In my opinion, this is the absolute WORSE doctors office I have ever been apart of. I highly recommend you do not bring your self or any family member here for any health concerns or any kind of health care. You can find much better care else where. At this office, you're simply a customer, you're not a patient. All they care about is money and if you rely on monthly prescriptions they will hold them over your head with out ever considering the health risk of missing doses. Lack of customer service is the beginning of this. Doctors schedule follow up appointments to go over results even though they already went over results over the phone just to charge you extra. When asked for my results to be printed I was then charged again and they do not email your OWN results. Very disappointed and now looking for a new doctor. read more

I like the doctor(4-5 stars for her) but the front office Medical Assistants(0 stars if I could) aren't knowledgeable and always mess up appointments and don't tell clients accurate information. If the front office staff were intelligent and spoke clearly and told accurate information instead of giving attitude and mumbling all the time then I would stay here long term but am currently looking for a new practice. The front office staff Maricela answers the phone and I could tell it's her answering not only because of confirmation but by attitude and mumbling.
