I could not secure a practicum overseer or any clinical setting where I could complete an internship after completing coursework for over four years. In the end, it ended up getting me nowhere and my life's work I thought I would have suffered for it. All I am left with are student loans. This school, as it appears, is not accredited for the coursework in clinical counseling they offer.

I called to verify what documents I would need by calling the disability office and explained the situation before applying. Was apparently provided with false information by multiple people both from a teacher and the disability office or the person assigned to my application is lazy. Because even had to ask her to open a calendar date because she only was available days I had class. Then I get this email a day before our scheduled meeting - like okay lady- people have children that they still have to be able to monitor during class. A parent with a diabetic child should be allowed to have a device that receives notifications so they can notify someone about potential emergencies with their child.

And their film school is top rated for a reason. Go here to keep your head down and get your degree. It's not quality but it gets the job done. Try to transfer 90 credits which is a AA degree to uni for BA. Cons: administration doesn't know what they are doing half the time. Nice workers but poor training and higher ups don't do much in terms of their job. You will need to sit down with academic advisors at least 4 times to make sure you are on the right degree path. Don't go to acting school here if mr messersmith is in charge as he is unprofessional and will curse at you to your face. Public humiliation is his fetish for his students and he likes forcing the girls to act out rap£ scenes and the emotional distress of it all. When I went to the vice president about this I was shut down ignored. Public Safty had officers that some faculty pushed me away from due to the fact they knew the officer would cover it up. Some real good people at SCC with a few bad apples for sure. This teacher was charming and friends with everyone. I saw him buddy buddy with VP which is why nothing happened he probably still is abusing students. Also the school will cover up anything to save a student whose daddy donates to the school so I blame the VP for creating such a hostile environment. But again if you just don't do acting classes or at least try to keep to the female teachers you should be fine. Hopefully they fired that teacher. 2015-2018 Overall I'd go here just know you won't be babied you have to do everything yourself which is easy once you know what ur doing. I hate to make a negative review of any Christian institution, but some things need to be said. We…read morehad to pull our amazing 4.0 daughter after just 2 months at this school for her emotional, spiritual and academic wellbeing. 1) the owners of the school (yes it's privately owned and the "board" is a couple of hand picked friends) have zero experience with education or school leadership. They have an extreme view of punishment (and use that word rather than discipline for a reason) and punish in public~ in front of teachers and students. They believe they are doing it in a "godly and compassionate" way and if the child is humiliated and harmed it is because the child must have problems. 2) the school is not accredited by the state of Arizona or any other accrediting body that is recognized by the state. If your child goes here for any amount of time and then switches to a private or public school, that school will not recognize any of the courses taken at Tipping Point. Once they get you at the school, they know it is hard for you to leave because your child will have to test into their grade at another school. If your child is in high school, they will lose all of their credits or they will have to audit their classes, assuming they are early enough in the semester to do that. Otherwise, they would lose that semester and any coursework done at that school. For most students, this would literally mean retaking all of their high school classes or being forced to get a GED instead of a high school diploma. I have spoken to the head of education at SUSD and this is solid information. I believe our family and daughter were treated extremely badly because they assumed we could not go anywhere else since we were two months into the semester. 3) if you send your child to the school, you are giving two people who have zero experience in running a school total control over your child. If you disagree with them on discipline/ emotional abuse/ educational issues, they will tell you~ as they told us, that your child is not allowed to return the school until you agree with them, in writing, that they can punish and treat your child any way they feel is best, without notifying you. That in and of itself is abusive, especially to a 4.0 student with a perfect behavior record. My Godly daughter left this school using the word "hypocrites", which was not the spiritual experience we were hoping for, yet it truly led to her understanding the true Christian faith in a whole new way. She also experienced that if your parent doesn't work at the school that you will be excluded and treated as less than by others. Overall just a horrible experience that God used for her best. We are very thankful to be gone.

When someone thinks of Arizona State University, they often think of the Tempe Campus and a large…read moreschool experience. What they may not realize is that while that experience is great for many people, yet others may be looking for a different experience. The ASU Downtown Phoenix Campus is smaller than the Tempe Campus yet it's a community where every student has the potential to feel connected with resources and it is still large enough (as ASU's second largest campus) that there is always something happening. It's growing as a campus and has transformed quickly from a commuter campus (when it first opened) to a residential campus with nearly 2,000 bed spaces in two residence halls. Opened for classes in 2006, the ASU Downtown Phoenix Campus has hit many milestones over the last several years. For instance, in April 2023, the Taylor Place residence hall was renamed Gordon Commons in honor of former Mayor Phil Gordon. This campus meshes well with the Downtown Phoenix area as they share streets, parks, and nearby restaurants and stores. In fact, ASU is actively involved in monthly stakeholder meetings with the Downtown Phoenix Inc. (DPI). It helps Downtown stakeholders in knowing what's going on at ASU while it helps ASU to know what's going on around the Downtown Phoenix area. For instance, ASU students and staff enjoy participating in First Fridays while DPI is involved in ASU Welcome Week events. As the campus continues to grow and become more engrained in the Downtown Phoenix culture every year, the number of buildings on campus continue to increase. In addition to academic buildings such as those of Cronkite, Thunderbird, and the Beus Center for Law and Society, there are student services available in University Center and Student Center at the Post Office. There are also classrooms within the Mercado Center and Arizona Center and even the Fusion on First residence hall and 850 PBC. Within Gordon Commons (another residence hall) is a Starbucks, Chick-fil-a, other restaurants, a Multicultural Communities of Excellence space, a dining hall, and marketplace. There is also some interesting art on campus such as the "Her Secret is Patience" sculpture above the Civic Space Park. There is also a beautiful Sun Devil Fitness Center with a roof-top pool. Needless to say, there is something for everyone on the ASU Downtown Phoenix Campus. At the Downtown Phoenix Campus, every student can drive their own experience as they engage in the events and resources on-campus while attending classes, getting an on-campus job, landing an internship or full-time job, joining clubs and organizations, attending many free events and activities, and so much more. The Dean of Students Office (in the Post Office) and the many student services offices at ASU Downtown Phoenix are always there for students, and it's easy to find your way towards graduation and your future when taking advantage of these resources. I look forward to seeing what comes next on such an engaging campus such as the ASU Downtown Phoenix Campus in the coming years!
