Joe came out, replaced a motherboard and power supply, then prompted to say my tv was broken due to "liquid intrusion" while simultaneously saying he had no idea why it happened. His job was to assess the situation and report back to Asurion, but by tinkering with the internal components he broke my warranty with the manufacturer. By using "liquid intrusion" to define his analysis, Asurion denied my claim for replacement, then Joe sent a quote to fix my $1800 TV for $3000 dollars. Asurion reps told me they base their claim off of what the technician says in their report, so to me this was deliberate sabotage, preventing me from getting a replacement, and simultaneously destroying any help I could get from the manufacture. When I tried to reach out for some questions and to see if he could change his verbiage in his report he said he could not. If I could give a 0 rating I would.

When I brought it in, Jonathan showed me that the battery had swollen dangerously, actually pushing the screen forward. He quickly replaced the battery and back glass and offered free repairs if I had issues within a year. However, my phone started restarting itself every few minutes of continuous use with a frustrating catch-22: I needed the latest iOS to calibrate the battery, but the phone wouldn't stay on long enough to download it. Jonathan tried a second battery and realized it could be hardware damage and ordered a new internal part (most likely the motherboard). I paid extra for that, but it was an amazing deal compared to replacing my whole phone. While waiting for the repair, he even lent me a loaner phone. When I got back, he had everything ready and waiting to log in, update to the latest iOS, and finish calibrating the battery. My phone has felt brand new ever since.
