We were greeted with friendly staff. We had a fun time browsing around. We found some new stuff, never seen in any stores of this caliber. They just don't have what I've been looking for, and if they did, they don't come in the quantities I needed. They were very organized! I like this mall. When I see my husband shopping with me, and he's not looking at his phone, you KNOW, he's enjoying browsing as much as I am! And that's saying a lot! read more

A sad day. I've shopped here several times with my task trained service dog. I've been met with skepticism before and used that opportunity to educate this business about identifying a legitimate service dog. Today when I came in I was greeted by the owner- I told him my dog was a service animal - HE ROLLED HIS EYES and said "service animal? Right." I don't mind educating businesses about service animals but after leaving written information with the twice (now 3 times) before I see this business is not open to serving disabled customers. read more

Beautiful selection of antiques and jewelry. Great value and prices clearly displaced throughout the store. It's a very clean and organized location with even better staff. They are absolutely welcoming, friendly, and talkative. The staff are knowledgeable about all of their pieces and care about their work. It does get warm on the top floor but significantly cooler downstairs during the summer. I visited this store yesterday for the first time and was shocked at the selection of vintage memorabilia, clothing and collectables. They even have a restroom for customers. Usually I spend so long at a thrift store I end up needed to go to the bathroom but most don't have restrooms. Also, they had more than one clerk working. If you want to look inside a locked cabinet, they're able to help you quickly. I appreciate that. I've been other places and it almost a hassle to ask them to unlock a cabinet. We love antique malls and antiques. There is a lot to see here and the booths are well curated. The prices are somewhat reasonable depending on the booth's owner. Mostly nice stuff. The owner guy is really friendly and chatty and seems to be well traveled and knows everyone in town. He is a wealth of information. The basement is also filled with items. This area seems to be more experimental and has a good share of up cycled and shabby chic rehabbed antiques. Many people that have booths in the basement have a great eye for style and design. I really enjoyed the basement area. I wished that Astoria had more Antique Malls. When you gather your items, don't forget to have the counter person check the book for the discount. This is a fun little antique mall with lots of little shops to browse, I particularly spent some time in the clock guys area. Yes, pun intended. I really had hoped to find more stores like this in the Astoria area, but this was probably the only one I would ever consider going back to and or recommending. The goods were of good quality and felt more organized than some of the other hodge-podge places in the few blocks we perused. The particular day we were in this store, there were all of the owners running around, it was actually kind of annoying/distracting because they were in the way. I appreciate the fact that they were "bartering" or "discounting" based on offers, but at least stay out of the customers way so we can shop! Highly recommend if you are looking for something a bit old or fun! read more

I don't have any particular interest in antiques and that may be why I wasn't all that impressed with the "mall." The store had that typical musty smell that is overlaid with the smells of sprays, candles, and incense. Because I'm scent sensitive I wasn't able to stay long but that was OK. It had the usual selection of "antique" and old items. There was probably something for everyone...except me. read more

I wandered in here to check out the antique scene in Astoria. I enjoyed the selection of random stuff they had, though it wasn't different than other stores and the prices seemed comparable too. I did end up purchasing something ceramic that was well wrapped and the sales clerk gave me some ideas of stuff to do, where to eat, etc in town since it was my first visit. She was friendlier than almost anyone I talked to in Astoria. Also worth mentioning, they take cards and I wasn't pestered or even talked to until I was ready to purchase something. Two stories of antiques, vintage and new merchandise! A very popular place, merchandise turns over quickly! I love the layout! You walk in and greeted by a very friendly staff! They know where everything is in the store. Nautical collectibles abound! They have fishing equipment, gear and a lot of the time know the history about the item. Oil paintings, vintage clothing, hats, and so many beautiful pieces of jewelry. The are western goodies, tools and books! Luggage,silverplate. And downstairs is a treat as well. This place was very nicely organized almost all of the consignment booths were clean and well-done. The only negative that I could put forth is that most of the prices were at least twice as high as would be considered reasonable. I mostly buy old tools, hardware and rustic stuff and the items that I found in this store were priced at least twice as high as I've seen (and purchased) at other consignment shops. We bought a couple of items anyway - but again - at a price that was higher than it should have been... and no haggling for price - at least on the items we bought. read more

I'm happy to report that, several years later, we still like Phog Bounders Antique Mall. It's a small mall, but it has lots of variety, and something for everyone (even my non-antique loving husband). The ground floor is mostly "legitimate" antiques. The basement has some antiques, some collectables, and lots of shabby chic and hipster industrial items. The prices are overall very good compared to Portland. read more
