I dropped my phone in the Salt River and took it here, hoping they could help. The gentleman had…read morejust opened, so I was optimistic that he would be able to start working on it right away. I explained that the phone had been dropped in the water, and he told me he would look it over and that it would take about 30 minutes to an hour. Instead, it took an hour and a half before he called me back. When I returned, he told me he had replaced the battery and then asked if I wanted the old, broken battery back. I was confused, what would I do with a broken battery? I also noticed there was still water trapped under the front screen. When I asked about it, he explained that he had only removed the back of the phone and never removed the front screen. If you're supposedly inspecting a water-damaged phone, shouldn't you be checking the entire device? About two hours into our drive back home to San Diego, the phone stopped working completely. I was extremely frustrated after spending $143 only for the phone to fail almost immediately. When I got home, I visited another location of the same franchise inside a Walmart in San Diego. The technician there was honest, knowledgeable, and very informative. He explained that the Mesa location should never have told me they could fix the phone. According to him, the water damage had already affected the LCD and could have spread to the motherboard. He said that instead of taking my money, they should have been upfront about the phone's condition. He even suggested I call the Mesa store and request a refund. When I called, the employee told me I would have to bring his battery back before he would refund me. Seriously? Drive all the way back to Arizona just to get my money back? That's completely unreasonable. I would not recommend this location. Based on my experience, they took my money for a repair that should never have been attempted. Save yourself the frustration and take your phone to a reputable local repair shop.

This is a Verizon Reseller - not a Verizon Store! They must get paid commission on upselling and…read moreadding perks. Keenan seemed very nice at first, but after I got home I realized he did not give me a bill, and the price I paid seemed to high. I went back the next day and stood in that store for over an HOUR, while he gave me ever excuse why he could not print my bill. When I finally saw it, I realized the screen protectors he just put on our new phones and said he was GIVING to us, he charged us for (we never even Asked for a screen protector). Also, and most importantly he totally added expensive perks and additions to our lines, without EVER even asking us!! The Verizon mobile protect was added to each line (at $19 per month) and NetFlix was added to my account (at $13 per month). I had to be persistent and fight to get that stuff taken off my account and get a credit. He just assumed I would walk away without checking and he would get his commission - or maybe sales metric as others have mentioned. Go to a Verizon Company store!! not this place!

Keenan is the reason I switched to T-Mobile today. I visited the Verizon location in Gilbert a few…read moredays ago to have a second number perk added to my account. I have used this perk before and am familiar with how it works. Instead of assisting me with my request, Keenan appeared to use my account to meet a sales metric. Rather than adding the second number perk correctly, Keenan added an entirely new line to my account and used my device's second IMEI so it appeared as a discounted second line, when in reality I only have one phone. In addition to this, he added multiple unwanted perks to my account (HBO bundle, Disney bundle) and a protection plan, effectively duplicating services for a phone I do not have. I was also charged a $40 activation fee, which he claimed his manager would waive, but it never was. As this was happening, I began receiving multiple emails from Verizon and questioned him in real time. He blamed the system for adding these unwanted features rather than taking responsibility. That evening, I spent over four hours on the phone with Verizon customer service trying to correct the issues. My bill had increased by over $100, and while support attempted to fix the errors, it caused further problems, including my cellular data not working. Verizon ultimately had to rebuild my account entirely. At that point, I gave up. This situation occurred because an employee prioritized meeting a metric over ethically helping a customer. As a result, I am now out of money and forced to deal with the consequences of an improperly set up account. I feel relief no longer being a Verizon customer, but this experience was unacceptable. Do better, Verizon.
