DO NOT go here for your photo needs. I was told by Joe that custom size prints are $5 each. When I picked them up, they were $15 each. He tells me he remembers our conversation. Well, so do I, & he told me $5. The $15 price was NEVER mentioned. This man uses "bait & switch" & misleading tactics. If you use his services, get whatever he quotes you IN WRITING! Or better yet, record the conversation. In hindsight, I should have walked out. If he is willing to cheat a senior citizen, he'll cheat anyone. read more

Love sending my film to be developed here. I do develop only and not cuts, and it only costs me $6 per roll. I scan my own film at home, so I can't speak to those services, but their turn around time for film development has always been next day, and I've been very happy with the results. read more

Do NOT have your family videos converted here! I dropped off 9 tapes and I had to cancel the order due to it taking 2 weeks with no update and no tapes being done. To make matters worst they hand me my bag and as I looked in saw I was missing one tape. I went back inside and they could not find it. First said it was somewhere in the store and will call when found, so when i said I'll stay there until they find it, then was told someone must've took it home bc he was working on it. It's been 3months and still have not heard about it being found. It was my sisters wedding video with her husband who passed away and nothing can ever replace that memory! Do not go there, unless you want to get ripped off. I went there only to find out how much it would cost to replace an SD card door on my SLR camera and find out what it is worth. Well I guess the guy thought I'm a bimbo or something (I'm a younger woman after all) that doesn't know a thing about cameras. So he told me that the replacement of the door would cost somewhere between $200-$300. I thought the price was outrageous (because it is). He then told me that no one will buy this camera from me, and it is worth nothing (he even told me that he wouldn't even buy it, even though I wasn't offering it to him) , the best thing would be to sell it for parts. I was very surprised, since I paid $700 for the camera couple years ago and the only thing that was broken was the SD card door. Well later did some research myself and found an SD cover for $25 on ebay, which for sure I can replace myself and still sell the camera for $350. I think he thought I'm just a dumb chick that will leave her perfectly working camera there for 100 bucks to him, since he was trying to convince me it is a worthless piece of equipment. I hate that younger people and especially women are treated like idiots in such places like this one. I do not recommend this place if you want to get anything fixed. read more

I have used the photographic depot for printing pictures and converting videos to dvds. I have received excellent customer service every time I have used this store. I find the owner very helpful and informative. My prints are always of high quality and I have always been completely satisfied with my video conversions as well. It is nice to have a local business that I can trust this process to as I hate the idea of sending family videos through the mail, let alone overseas which is what happens with most of the online services. read more

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place. I have a bag of VHS tapes I want to convert to DVDs, and when I asked a price, I was told $14.99 each. I said I didn't want to pay for all of them to be converted at that price and asked if there were any specials. I was told the 2nd one would be $9.99. So I dropped off 2. It turns out it's the second copy of a DVD that is $9.99, not a second conversion. So I paid for 2 full price. When I said I was misled by the pricing, I was told he tells this pricing 100 times a day and I'm the only one that has ever been confused. He also told me I would not find a better price anywhere, and that he's one of the only photography stores left and Calumet Photography has even gone out of business. He was rude, condescending, and obnoxious. He knew I was asking for pricing on conversions, not copies, because he looked through my bag and definitely wanted me to drop off all of my tapes with him. I was misled, and when I called him out on it he said there was nothing I could do. He has lost my business and I'm just putting this out there as a warning to others. read more
