Pictures capture important moments in your life. You can certainly find deals online, or clip…read morecoupons for your department store photo studio. You'll save a few bucks, but you'll greatly sacrifice quality. I used to do this by going to Picture People and JCP, but no longer. I would rather have my precious moments beautifully captured, because you can never recreate these moments. In fact, I now regret going to JCP and Picture People in the past, because the quality was not as good, and I can never redo newborn shots with my eldest kid. Like others, we used to go to Picture People. In a way it was good that they closed because it allowed us to find At Home Studios. Ken and Stephanie are absolutely wonderful. A few differences between Ken and your typical portrait studio: 1. At regular studios like JCP or Sears, random people are trained on how to use a camera. It's not their full time profession; it just provides a paycheck. Whereas with At Home Studios, Ken's passion is photography and that is all he has done for most of his life. The passion is evident in the fact that his pictures are far superior to anything you could get in a department store. 2. They treat you like family. At Picture People we had to wait 30-60 minutes, even with a scheduled appointment. And we had to wait another 30-60 minutes just to get our pictures on CD. Not to mention them rushing you through the photo shoot so they could take more customers. It was a dreadful experience, whereas we were welcomed into Ken and Stephanie's home like we were family, and didn't have to wait in a queue. 3. Ken is absolutely wonderful with kids, and very patient. He was patient with us as our newborn needed to feed and also change an outfit. Our toddler wasn't interested in looking at the camera, but Ken took care of that with his humor. Our toddler was still talking about him for days after we left. 4. At the typical portrait studio, they only give you about 8-10 shots, whereas Ken gives you much more (all of the good ones). I was always surprised that Picture People used to take so many pictures during the sessions, but only gave us limited number on CD. 5. If you are going to frame your pics, ask Ken to do it. He will touch it up and it will look much better than doing it yourself at CVS or Walgreens. Ken has more expertise on touching up pics than a traditional studio would. And request the frames that day, or you'll never get around to it. Ken and Stephanie aren't pushy and not after every penny like Picture People used to be; you'll have to ask if you want specific prints. Picture People never used to let you leave until you listened to their sales pitch, which was quite annoying when you've already been waiting around in the store for 2 hours. 6. By the end of the session, I felt as if we were with family. In a world where encountering rude people has unfortunately become normal, it was refreshing to meet some really nice people. 7. US Military dignity: Ken and Stephanie have a military family. Their children serve and have been stationed in various places. Being away from your family and pledging your life for your country requires honor and dignity. It is not just an individual sacrifice, but that of the entire military family. This is highly relevant, because such a high level of dignity means that you won't feel cheated. They will do their best to provide you with what you came for, and won't take shortcuts. Ken and Stephanie's art will be with us for the rest of our lives. It's so much more beautiful than anything else we have gotten from the department stores. We're so happy to have found them.

Whenever the baby got a little fussy, he allowed us to feed and soothe her. They have quite a few costumes that we could use. End pictures are lovely and Ken made the whole experience very peaceful.

My wife and I…read morewere just in awe of how amazing the photos looked, especially the portraits which looked like a work of art. We were assigned Reena and Roderick as our main photographer and videographer, and Ben and Tuck as the secondary photographer and videographer. They gave such clear direction to ensure the photos came out the way we wanted. All 4 of them were respectful, professional and very accommodating. We had an extensive list of photo combinations we wanted with the bridal party, our parents, wedding sponsors, and extended family and the Dean Michaels team managed to capture every single moment. I'd ask Reena last minute if we could take pictures at different locations and she would be so accommodating and the photos came out perfect. We are so glad we went with Dean Michaels. It's always tough picking through hundreds of wedding photo companies but my wife and I really liked the style of Dean Michaels which provided a good mix of dramatic and traditional photos without being too over the top. We highly recommend Dean Michaels if you're undecided who to go with for your wedding or any other events!

I had a great experience working with Thomas. Needed to update my headshots for work, LinkedIn,…read moreetc. and Tom delivered. Thomas is very professional and personable. I met him for the first time during the shoot and it felt like I've known him for years. If you need any photography work that is top notch, look no further than Thomas Robert Clarke Photography.

So, in Episode 1 of TRC Photography, we discussed buying prints of Toms amazing work. In Episode 2…read morewe discuss the other aspect of his services, The Photo Shoot. It's tough to come up with a 40th birthday gift for an estranged spouse. These days, the only thing we have in common is our children, so it seemed fitting to include them somehow. In a rare moment of clarity, I found a way to get this done, give business to a worthy photographer ( ahem, and friend) at the same time. I posed the idea to Tom, to do a photo shoot of my kids as a present for my wife and his energy and enthusiasm made me immediately think I made the right choice. We discussed locations and concepts based on what I had seen of his work. Tom had some fantastic ideas and was very receptive to my own ideas. Tom feels that the comfort of the subjects is important, so we decided to do an outdoor shoot at the park in the neighborhood where they grew up. The day came and although Tom had nothing to do with the weather, I couldn't help but feel that with the most beautiful fall day I'd ever seen, Tom has an in with Mother Nature. The shoot went flawlessly. He worked great with usually difficult kids and I could tell they felt at ease. My kids are into cosplay, where they like to dress up as their favorite characters. They loved that Tom incorporated their costumes into the shoot and couldn't wait for the pictures. And what pictures they were. I've never seen my kids look so good. The shots were classy, true and fun. I am more than pleased with the results and they were a big hit with everyone who got one. Tom uses an easy method for getting you your pics. He sets up a web page where you can view all shots and order them however you wish ( mugs, cards, photos, digital, etc) . With one click, a picture will be in your hands within hours. The overall experience with Tom, was one that I can't say enough good things about. If you have the need for such services and you are in the greater Philadelphia and South Jersey area ( or even beyond- it's worth it) make sure you check Tom out. He even made me look good...and that's saying something.

In addition to being our wedding day photographer for all three of our weddings she also did all three of our engagement photo shoots. I had a specific vision for my engagement photos and asked Jenna to do non-traditional engagement photos in our home and SHE DELIVERED! Being in our home taking our engagement photos was such a special moment for my husband and it made us much more comfortable then being out in public. If you have a vision, let Jenna know, she will make it happen! Not only did my wedding photos come out gorgeous (I still look at them almost daily) but what really made Jenna the best wedding vendor I booked, was the level of professionalism and comfortability she gave myself and my husband. Having your photos taken isn't always the most natural thing for regular folks but Jenna made myself and my husband feel SO comfortable and it SHOWS In the photos! You can see our smiles are genuine both in our engagement photos and wedding day photos. Jenna gave easy directions, didn't over direct and always was looking for opportunities to make us smile and laugh! I also really appreciate that Jenna is not glued to a clock, and she worked with how your day flows and does not leave until every moment is captured. Jenna met with us several times prior to our wedding day to plan and prepare and I felt very supported leading to the day of my wedding and had no fears going into the big day! Jenna captured the best day of our lives with beautiful photos that I will cherish forever! I will always be thankful for Jenna and her work on our wedding day. She already knows that she will be booked for all my other cousin's future weddings AND personally all other big moments in my life that need a photographer i.e. Family Photos, New Baby! WE LOVE YOU JENNA! THANK YOU! ALL NJ BRIDE BOOK JENNA ASAP!

Vendor review: Jenna…read morePerfette Photography - Do Not Recommend We used this vendor for our engagement shoot. Although the pictures were okay, some were good (I give credit where due) - I would be doing a disservice to the brides on here by not telling you - unless you have no budget - go elsewhere. I cannot begin to tell you how expensive this was. My fiancé planned it as a surprise and was never told about the price list, nor is it on her site or Facebook. He was told $350 for the shoot, $250 for the shoot and $100 for a package. Now, he was under the impression, because he wasn't told otherwise, or provided anything that the package is for prints, or photo albums etc. But in fact, even for the digital copies, you have to pay either $40 PER PICTURE or $550 for all. This is in addition to the $350. Other packages are $900+ (again, in addition to the $250). I don't know about you ladies, but it was deceptive to be told this after we had the shoot and paid the $350. When I inquired about the digital only, she admits she isn't the cheapest but says we are paying for the 'experience' as well. I wasn't going to Disney, I was getting a few photos taken. I hope this information is helpful for anyone looking for a engagement shoot. This photographer is 3x's the cost of others I've seen - who are just as good. Needless to say, had we had all the information upfront, we would have went elsewhere. I'm happy to send anyone a copy of the price list - if you need it as it's not public. It's information I wish I had! It's not like me to put bad reviews, but after I expressed concern twice about the expense and she had zero to no interest in helping to apologizing for a lack of transparency in the beginning - I now feel obligated to warn others.
