Jodi is amazing and absolutely so sweet! I have only done a maternity shoot so far, but we have already booked our newborn shoot with her as well and I'm so excited! I am the absolute worst when it comes to posing and how to stand and what face to make, and she knew exactly what to say to convey what she wanted and everything turned out amazing! She was very flexible, too, with what I wanted to do as well! I'm excited for the newborn shoot, and potentially any other future kiddo shoots, because she has so many props and outfits available! And her gallery just looks amazing, she can capture the most adorable newborn photos! Her studio is amazing--it has everything, and it's such a comfortable atmosphere! She got us our photos SO FAST and they are all so beautifully edited! The package deals for both a book and digital copies (and the shoot and hair and makeup) is just so all-inclusive, it's really stress-free and a fantastic little treat that I never allow myself normally. I'll return to her for any future kiddos for the maternity + newborn package again, and I'll definitely be back for a Boudoir shoot eventually too! Terrible experience!!!She cancelled my appointment (3 hours before) twice and is refusing to give me a full refund. My original photoshoot was scheduled in November, but she cancelled the day of due to her child being sick so we rescheduled. I had to reschedule the next appointment due to my child being sick. Today, she cancelled for inclement weather, but the photoshoot was supposed to be indoors and it isn't snowing yet. I went ahead and requested a full refund as this is the 2nd time she cancelled on me. She is refusing to refund my appointment due the weather even though the INDOOR shoot was scheduled for 1030 a.m. The snow isn't starting until 12:00 p.m. and I only booked a 30 minutes session. I was understanding during the first last minute cancellation and really appreciated her rescheduling the second appointment because I needed to cancel. However, canceling today's appointment at the last minute was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. The reason she gave was due to weather but it isn't snowing and I don't believe she ever had any intention on actually completing the shoot today. read more

I have used Jodi Lynn for both boudoir and maternity photography and can I just say she is so wonderful to work with and the photos always come out beautifully! We just did a maternity photo shoot with my two-year-old daughter, she was all over the place while trying to shoot, but Jodi did a wonderful job being patient and getting some great shots. I can honestly say we loved every single photo in our gallery and that has never happened with any of the other professional photos we've taken!! The photographers here are very knowledgeable and personable. Additionally, they will help you choose and outfit if you bring a few choices so that nothing clashes with the backdrops. The hair/makeup/eyelash service was also helpful so that you do not appear washed out in the photographs. I am taking off one star because I did not appreciate how the business pins clients into a contract, which was sneaky in my opinion. When I had my appointment, I was told that the studio had a 1-week cancellation policy whereby if you cancel within the week leading up to your appointment, you will charged a fee (understandable). However, within that week leading up to the appointment, the studio sent me a contract to electronically sign. Now, you can see where someone would have their choice of doing business limited (i.e. take your money elsewhere and face the fee or sign a contract you were uncomfortable signing). If I disagreed with the contract, I would have to face a cancellation fee. Indeed, I disagreed with the contract and even brought up issues during the photo shoot. Of course what was verbally told to me differed GREATLY from the written contract I was made to sign. Here is hoping Jodi Lynn Photography does not try to enforce portions of that contract despite verbal promises (if it does, I have no defense). Also, removing one star for the uncomfortable and rude comments the makeup/stylist made to be during my session. It was her last day, so that person is no longer there, but I hope the studio speaks to their independent contractors about appropriate topics. This stylist pried into how my mother died, asked why I wasn't married yet, and even "guessed my age." Heck, the age comment wouldn't have been so bad if the "guess" did not tack on 10 years to my actual age while I am about to take intimate photographs and already feel uncomfortable. This just made me feel awful and set the tone for my photo shoot. Luckily the photographer was aces, but it was not a good start. read more

I had the experience on doing the mini session along with the onsite professional hair and makeup.
